Constrained thermodynamics and geodesic observables of an effective non-commutative Kerr-like black hole

We investigate the horizon structure, constrained thermodynamics, and geodesic properties of an effective Kerr-like black hole in a non-commutative background. Deformation modifies the radial geometry through a mass-dependent charge-like contribution, while preserving the separability of the geodesic equations. We determine the conditions for horizon existence, identify the extremal zero-temperature configuration, and analyze the stationary-limit surfaces and the ergoregion. Special attention is paid to the thermodynamic interpretation of the model, where the geometric Hawking quantities are distinguished from the conjugate variables associated with the constrained state space at fixed non-commutative deformation parameter. The canonical and grand-canonical heat capacities are derived to characterize their ensemble-dependent local thermal behavior. We also obtain the spherical photon region, equatorial light rings, and shadow boundary, showing that the deformation shifts the characteristic photon orbits inwards and reduces the overall size of the shadow. Timelike circular motion is studied through the innermost stable circular orbit, where non-commutative correction produces an inward shift of both the prograde and retrograde branches. Finally, invariant photon frequency shifts are obtained by treating the emitter's orbital direction and the photon's tangential emission direction as independent physical choices.

Probing bulk viscous matter-dominated models with Gamma-ray bursts

In this paper we extend the range of consistency of a constant bulk viscosity model to redshifts up to $z\sim 8.1$. In this model the dark sector of the cosmic substratum is a viscous fluid with pressure $p= -ζθ$, where $θ$ is the fluid-expansion scalar and $ζ$ is the coefficient of bulk viscosity. Using the sample of 59 high-redshift GRBs reported by Wei (2010), we calibrate GRBs at low redshifts with the Union 2 sample of SNe Ia, avoiding then the circularity problem. Testing the constant bulk viscosity model with GRBs we found the best fit for the viscosity parameter $\tildeζ$ in the range $0<\tildeζ<3$, being so consistent with previous probes; we also determined the deceleration parameter $q_0$ and the redshift of transition to accelerated expansion. Besides we present an updated analysis of the model with CMB5-year data and CMB7-year data, as well as with the baryon acoustic peak BAO. From the statistics with CMB it turns out that the model does not describe in a feasible way the far far epoch of recombination of the universe, but is in very good concordance for epochs as far as $z\sim 8.1$ till present.

5D gravitational waves from complexified black rings

In this paper we construct and briefly study the 5D time-dependent solutions of general relativity obtained via double analytic continuation of the black hole (Myers-Perry) and of the black ring solutions with a double (Pomeransky-Senkov) and a single rotation (Emparan-Reall). The new solutions take the form of a generalized Einstein-Rosen cosmology representing gravitational waves propagating in a closed universe. In this context the rotation parameters of the rings can be interpreted as the extra wave polarizations, while it is interesting to state that the waves obtained from Myers-Perry Black holes exhibit an extra boost-rotational symmetry in higher dimensions which signals their better behavior at null infinity. The analogue to the C-energy is analyzed.

Generating Generalized $G_{D-2}$ solutions

We show how one can systematically construct vacuum solutions to Einstein field equations with $D-2$ commuting Killing vectors in $D>4$ dimensions. The construction uses Einstein-scalar field seed solutions in 4 dimensions and is performed both for the case when all the Killing directions are spacelike, as well as when one of the Killing vectors is timelike. The later case corresponds to generalizations of stationary axially symmetric solutions to higher dimensions. Some examples representing generalizations of known higher dimensional stationary solutions are discussed in terms of their rod structure and horizon locations and deformations.
