The emergent black ring: a note on increasing ratio $σ_{el}(s)/σ_{tot}(s)$ at the LHC

We discuss thw relations between the elastic and inelastic cross-sections valid for the shadow and reflective modes of the elastic scattering. Considerations are based on the unitarity arguments. It is shown that the redistribution of the total interaction probability between the elastic and inelastic interactions can lead to increasing ratio of $σ_{el}(s)/σ_{tot}(s)$ at the LHC energies in presence of the reflective scattering mode. The form of the inelastic overlap function becomes peripheral due to the negative feedback. In the absorptive scattering mode, the mechanism of this increase is a different one since the impact parameter dependence of the inelastic interactions probability is central in this case. A short notice is also given on the slope parameter and the leading contributions to its energy dependence in the both modes.

Reflective scattering, color conductivity, and centrality in hadron reactions

The reflective scattering mode is supposed to play a significant role in hadron interactions at the LHC energy region and beyond. We discuss connection of this mode to the color conducting medium formation in hadron collisions and its role in centrality determination. The issues of centrality in view of the measurements at the LHC are relevant for enlightening the asymptotic dynamics.

Comment on energy dependence of the slope parameter

We discuss energy dependence of the slope parameter in elastic proton scattering. It is shown that unitarity generates energy dependence of the slope parameter in geometrical models consistent with the experimental results including recent LHC data.

Implications of the $ρ(s)$ measurements by TOTEM at the LHC

Implications of the recent measurements of the parameter $ρ(s)$ (ratio of the real to imaginary parts of the forward scattering elastic amplitude) by TOTEM collaboration at $\sqrt{s}=13$ $TeV$ are discussed with emphasis on the rising energy dependence of the ratio of elastic to total cross--sections.

Reflective scattering mode interpretation

This note is devoted to discussion of the reflective scattering mode. This mode connection to the color conducting medium formed under hadron collisions is proposed.

Comment on high-$p_T$ inclusive spectra measurements at the LHC

The high-$p_T$ inclusive spectra measured at the LHC demonstrate a non-perturbative $p_T^{-6}$ dependence. This can be related to observation of a nondecreasing with $p_T$ one-spin asymmetries at RHIC questioning the fact of the spin degrees of freedom neglect at the LHC energies.

Secondary dips and the asymptotics

We point out how to detect experimentally the energy region where asymptotics starts to manifest itself in hadron scattering relating appearance of the secondary dips in the differential cross-section of elastic scattering $dσ/dt $ with beginning of the asymptotic energy region. The consideration relies on the differential characteristics. The framework of the impact parameter picture of proton--proton interactions is being used.

Centrality in small systems at the LHC energies and beyond

Experimental observations at the LHC of the collective effects in small systems such as $pp$--scattering suggest introduction of the centrality variable to classify collision events similar to the case of nucleus--nucleus collisions. We discuss this issue with reference to the existing measurements at the LHC and the asymptotical energy region.

Spin measurements in strangeness production at the LHC

We briefly recollect the problem of significant hyperon polarization emphasizing the role of spin in dynamics of hadron interactions. We provide also some model predictions based on chiral dynamics and the impact parameter picture for illustration. The old, but yet unsolved problem of hyperon polarization, can obtain a new insight from the measurements at the LHC energies and, in combination with other measurements, can be used for tagging QGP formation in $pp$--collisions.

Analytization of elastic scattering amplitude

Scenario for restoration of the real part of the elastic scattering amplitude has been proposed for the unitarity saturation case. Dependence of the real part of the elastic scattering amplitude on the transferred momentum $-t$ at the asymptotical energies has been restored from the corresponding imaginary part on the basis of derivative analyticity relations (analytization procedure).

Generalized upper bound for inelastic diffraction

For the inelastic diffraction, we obtain an upper bound valid in the whole range of the elastic scattering amplitude variation allowed by unitarity. We discuss the energy dependence of the inelastic diffractive cross-section on the base of this bound and recent LHC data.

Are there any clues for hadron asymptotics in the LHC data?

We discuss several clues related to the possible asymptotic behavior of hadron interactions arising on the base of performed analysis of the recent TOTEM data at the LHC and emphasize that the deep-elastic scattering can provide an important information on the asymptotical dependence via the unitarity relation.

Reflecting disk with black edge

We discuss geometrical picture of hadron interactions and, in particular, the presence of energy--invariant edge in elastic scattering resulting from a transition to the reflective scattering mode which is supported by the recent LHC data. The energy-invariant edge represents a black ring around the reflecting disk.

Anisotropic flow in pp-collisions at the LHC

We discuss collective effects in $pp$--collisions at the LHC energies and derive an upper bound for the anisotropic flow coefficients $v_n$. A possibility of its verification via comparison with the measurements of $v_2$ is considered. We use an assumption on the relation of the two--particle correlations with the rotation of the transient state of matter.
