Permanence and Extinction for the Stochastic SIR Epidemic Model

The aim of this paper is to study the stochastic SIR equation with general incidence functional responses and in which both natural death rates and the incidence rate are perturbed by white noises. We derive a sufficient and almost necessary condition for the extinction and permanence for an epidemic system with multi noises \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} dS(t)=\big[a_1-b_1S(t)-I(t)f(S(t),I(t))\big]dt + σ_1 S(t) dB_1(t) -I(t)g(S(t),I(t))dB_3(t),\\ dI(t)=\big[-b_2I(t) + I(t)f(S(t),I(t))\big]dt + σ_2I(t) dB_2(t) + I(t)g(S(t),I(t))dB_3(t). \end{cases} \end{equation*} Moreover, the rate of all convergences of the solution are also established. A number of numerical examples are given to illustrate our results

Classification of Asymptotic Behavior in A Stochastic SIR Model

This paper investigates asymptotic behavior of a stochastic SIR epidemic model, which is a system with degenerate diffusion. It gives sufficient conditions that are very close to the necessary conditions for the permanence. In addition, this paper develops ergodicity of the underlying system. It is proved that the transition probabilities converge in total variation norm to the invariant measure. Our result gives a precise characterization of the support of the invariant measure. Rates of convergence are also ascertained. It is shown that the rate is not too far from exponential in that the convergence speed is of the form of a polynomial of any degree.

Dynamical Behavior of a stochastic SIRS epidemic model

In this paper we study the Kernack - MacKendrick model under telegraph noise. The telegraph noise switches at random between two SIRS models. We give out conditions for the persistence of the disease and the stability of a disease free equilibrium. We show that the asymptotic behavior highly depends on the value of a threshold $λ$ which is calculated from the intensities of switching between environmental states, the total size of the population as well as the parameters of both SIRS systems. According to the value of $λ$, the system can globally tend towards an endemic case or a disease free case. The aim of this work is also to describe completely the omega-limit set of all positive solutions to the model. Moreover, the attraction of the omega-limit set and the stationary distribution of solutions will be pointed out.
