Generalized Fock--Lorentz Transformations from Projective Conformal Coordinates: Covariant Structure, Sector Classification, and Oscillator Limits

We develop a covariant projective formulation of generalized Fock--Lorentz (GFL) transformations based on the auxiliary Minkowski coordinates $X^{\mu}=x^{\mu}/[1+a_{\nu}x^{\nu}/R]$, where $R$ is a deformation length and $a^{\mu}$ is a constant deformation vector. Ordinary Lorentz transformations acting linearly on $X^{\mu}$ induce nonlinear transformations of the physical coordinates $x^{\mu}$ with a unique denominator $\mathcal{D}_{a}(x;\Lambda)$ fixed by the conformal factor. The construction gives a unified invariant interval, clarifies the singular hypersurface of the projective chart, and separates three inequivalent sectors according to the causal character of $a^{\mu}$: time-like, space-like, and null. We emphasize two points that are often obscured by analogy with the standard FL case: the coordinate velocity of light is generally defined by an implicit linear relation, and the familiar explicit FL expression is valid only in the purely time-like sector. The time-like apparent mass $m_{\rm app}(t)=m_{0}/(1+ct/R)$ and the associated one-dimensional Klein--Gordon and Dirac oscillator spectra are treated here only as limiting consistency checks of the generalized spacetime construction and are related explicitly to the companion momentum-space-dual formulation. The genuinely new dynamical result is obtained in the space-like sector, where the weak-gradient apparent mass generates a parity-breaking cubic anharmonicity; the first-order cubic shift vanishes by parity, while the combined second-order cubic and first-order quartic corrections yield a definite $R^{-2}$ shift of the oscillator operator. These results provide a transparent basis for future applications of projective relativistic kinematics without relying on a dark-universe interpretation.

Klein--Gordon and Dirac Oscillators with an Apparent Mass Induced by the Momentum-Space Dual of the Fock--Lorentz Transformations

We propose a controlled momentum-space dual of the Fock--Lorentz (FL) transformations and use it to derive a deformed relativistic mass shell. Restricting the FL conformal factor to the cosmological-frame world line $\vx=0$, the invariant relation takes the form $(E^{2}-\vp^{2}c^{2})(1+ct/R)^{2}=m_{0}^{2}c^{4}$, which is equivalent to the standard special-relativistic dispersion law with a time-dependent apparent mass $\mapp(t)=m_{0}/(1+ct/R)$. Canonical quantization then yields Klein--Gordon (KG) and Dirac equations containing a slowly varying mass scale. We show explicitly that squaring the Dirac equation reproduces the KG operator, modulo first-order corrections proportional to $\dot\mapp$ that are suppressed by the ratio of the Compton wavelength to the FL scale. The construction is not presented as a unique covariant phase-space theory; rather, it is a world-line ansatz designed to isolate the spectral consequences of the FL conformal factor. As applications, we study the one-dimensional KG and Dirac oscillators. In the adiabatic regime, governed by the small parameter $\epsilon=c/(R\omega)\ll1$, closed-form instantaneous spectra are obtained. The Dirac-oscillator calculation is carried out in component form and then reduced to the physical spinor spectrum, thereby avoiding the double counting of the upper and lower component ladders. Dimensionless plots illustrate the apparent-mass drift, the induced spectral evolution, and the domain of adiabatic validity. For cosmological values of $R$, non-adiabatic corrections are entirely negligible; in the formal limit $t\to\infty$ the apparent mass tends to zero and, for fixed quantum number, the instantaneous levels collapse toward $E=0$.

The Deformed Dirac Oscillator in Linear-Fractional Doubly Special Relativity

We study the $(1+1)$-dimensional Dirac oscillator within a class of doubly special relativity (DSR) models generated by linear-fractional (projective) transformations on momentum space that preserve both the invariant speed of light and a high-energy observer-independent scale $\Ep$. Starting from the associated deformed Casimir invariants, we construct the coordinate-space Dirac equations for three inequivalent choices of the deformation vector (time-like, space-like, and light-like). For the time-like and light-like realizations the deformation induces momentum-dependent effective mass operators, which makes the coordinate-space formulation sensitive to operator ordering. To retain locality and obtain solvable second-order equations we adopt a reverted-product ordering prescription. Closed-form relativistic energy spectra and eigenfunctions are obtained in all three geometries, and the standard Dirac-oscillator results are recovered smoothly in the limit $\Ep\to\infty$. Finally, we derive the nonrelativistic expansion of the positive-energy branch and show that the deformation geometry controls the leading rest-energy shift and the renormalization of the oscillator level spacing.

Feshbach-Villars Hamiltonian Approach to the Klein-Gordon Oscillator and Supercritical Step Scattering in Standard and Generalized Doubly Special Relativity

We develop a first-order Feshbach-Villars (FV) Hamiltonian framework for spin-0 relativistic quantum dynamics in the presence of Planck-scale kinematic deformations described within generalized doubly special relativity (G-DSR). Starting from a generic nonlinear momentum-space map, we derive the corresponding modified dispersion relation (MDR) at leading order in the Planck length \(l_p\) and construct a consistent FV linearization of the deformed Klein-Gordon operator. The resulting two-component Hamiltonian remains \(\sigma_3\)-pseudo-Hermitian at \(\mathcal{O}(l_p)\), which guarantees conservation of the FV charge and current and provides a current-based definition of reflection and transmission in stationary scattering. As applications, we study two benchmark settings in which the FV metric structure is essential: (i) the one-dimensional Klein-Gordon oscillator and (ii) scattering from electrostatic step and barrier potentials. For the oscillator, we obtain controlled \(\mathcal{O}(l_p)\) branch-resolved spectral shifts and show how kinetic versus mass-shell deformations reshape the level spacing and the high-energy spectral compression. For step and barrier scattering, we compute reflection and transmission coefficients directly from the pseudo-Hermitian FV current and quantify the deformation-induced shift of the supercritical (pair-production) threshold. A comparative analysis of the Amelino-Camelia and Magueijo-Smolin realizations indicates that MS-type deformations generally delay the onset of the supercritical regime and reduce the magnitude of the negative transmitted flux within the validity domain \(l_p E \ll 1\).

Is there a map between Galilean relativity and special relativity?

Mandanici has provided a map which he claims to be a two way map between Galilean relativity and special relativity. We argue that this map is simply a curvilinear coordinate system on a subset of the two-dimensional Minkowski space-time, and is not a two way map between 1+1 dimensional Galilean relativity and 1+1 dimensional special relativity.

A Projective Interpretation of Some Doubly Special Relativity Theories

A class of projective actions of the orthogonal group on the projective space is being studied. It is shown that the Fock--Lorentz, and Magueijo--Smolin transformations known as Doubly Special Relativity are such transformations. The formalism easily lead to new type transformations.
