Phenomenology of the simple 3-3-1 model with inert scalars

The simple 3-3-1 model that contains the minimal lepton and minimal scalar contents is detailedly studied. The impact of the inert scalars (i.e., the extra fundamental fields that provide realistic dark matter candidates) on the model is discussed. All the interactions of the model are derived, in which the standard model ones are identified. We constrain the standard model like Higgs particle at the LHC. We search for the new particles including the inert ones, which contribute to the $B_s$-$\bar{B}_s$ mixing, the rare $B_s\rightarrow μ^+μ^-$ decay, the CKM unitarity violation, as well as producing the dilepton, dijet, diboson, diphoton, and monojet final states at the LHC.

Investigation of Dark Matter in Minimal 3-3-1 Models

It is shown that the 3-3-1 model with the minimal lepton content can work as two-Higgs-triplet 3-3-1 model while leaving the other scalars as inert particles responsible for dark matter. We study two cases of dark matter corresponding to the doublet and singlet scalar candidates. We figure out the parameter spaces in the WMAP allowed region of the relic density. The indirect and direct searches for dark matter in both cases are investigated by using micrOMEGAs.

Inflation and leptogenesis in the 3-3-1-1 model

We consider the SU(3)_C \otimes SU(3)_L \otimes U(1)_X \otimes U(1)_N (3-3-1-1) model at the GUT scale with implication for inflation and leptogenesis. The mass spectra of the neutral Higgs bosons and neutral gauge bosons are reconsidered when the scale of the 3-3-1-1 breaking is much larger than that of the ordinary SU(3)_C \otimes SU(3)_L \otimes U(1)_X (3-3-1) breaking. We investigate how the 3-3-1-1 model generates an inflation by identifying the scalar field that spontaneously breaks the U(1)_N symmetry to inflaton as well as including radiative corrections for the inflaton potential. We figure out the parameter spaces appeared in the inflaton potential that satisfy the conditions for an inflation model and obtain the inflaton mass an order of 10^{13} GeV. The inflaton can dominantly decay into a pair of light Higgs bosons or a pair of heavy Majorana neutrinos which lead, respectively, to a reheating temperature of 10^9 GeV order appropriate to a thermal leptogenesis scenario or to a reduced reheating temperature corresponding to a non-thermal leptogenesis scenario. We calculate the lepton asymmetry which yields baryon asymmetry successfully for both the thermal and non-thermal cases.

Phenomenology of the 3-3-1-1 model

We discuss a new SU(3)_C X SU(3)_L X U(1)_X X U(1)_N (3-3-1-1) gauge model that overhauls the theoretical and phenomenological aspects of the known 3-3-1 models. Additionally, we sift the outcome of the 3-3-1-1 model from precise electroweak bounds to dark matter observables. The mass spectra of the scalar and gauge sectors are diagonalized when the scale of the 3-3-1-1 breaking is compatible to that of the ordinary 3-3-1 breaking. All the interactions of the gauge bosons with the fermions and scalars are obtained. The 3-3-1-1 model provides two dark matters which are stabilized by the W-parity conservation: one fermion which may be either a Majorana or Dirac fermion and one complex scalar. We conclude that in the fermion dark matter setup the Z_2 gauge boson resonance sets the dark matter observables, whereas in the scalar one the Higgs portal dictates them. The standard model GIM mechanism works in the model because of the W-parity conservation. Hence, the dangerous flavor changing neutral currents due to the ordinary and exotic quark mixing are suppressed, while those coming from the non-universal couplings of the Z_2 and Z_N gauge bosons are easily evaded. Indeed, the K^0-\bar{K}^0 and B^0_s-\bar{B}^0_s mixings limit m_{Z_{2,N}}>2.037 TeV and m_{Z_{2,N}}>2.291 TeV, respectively, while the LEPII searches provide a quite close bound m_{Z_{2,N}}>2.737 TeV. The violation of the CKM unitarity due to the loop effects of the Z_2 and Z_N gauge bosons is negligible. [Full abstract is given in the text.]

Probing Dark Matter in the Economical 3-3-1 Model

We show that the economical 3-3-1 model has a dark mater candidate. It is a real scalar H_1^0 in which main part is bilepton (with lepton number 2) and its mass is in the range of some TeVs. We calculate the relic abundance of H_1^0 dark matter by using micrOMEGAs 2.4 and figure out parameter space satisfying the WMAP constraints. Direct and indirect searches are studied for a special choice of parameters in the WMAP - allowed region.

On the categorical interpretation of ring cohomology

In this paper, we have studied the axiomatics of {\it Ann-categories} and {\it categorical rings.} These are the categories with distributivity constraints whose axiomatics are similar with those of ring structures. The main result we have achieved is proving the independence of the axiomatics of Ann-category definition. And then we have proved that after adding an axiom into the definition of categorical rings, we obtain the new axiomatics which is equivalent to the one of Ann-categories. In [PJ], authors modified the definition of Ann-categories to be the one of {\it categorical rings,} where the condition Ann-1 is omitted, and the compatibility of the operation $\tx$ with the associativity and commutativity is replaced with the compatibility of the operation $\tx$ with the "associativity - commutativity" constraint. This replacement is to make it more convenient in using Mac Lane cohomology. However, the fact that the definition of categorical rings and Ann-categories are equivalent is still an open question. In [q], authors showed that the set of Ann-categories is a subset of the set of categorical rings. And these sets coincide if and only if the condition (U)is satisfied.

Sfermion masses in the supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 model

Sfermion masses and eigenstates in the supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 model are studied. By lepton number conservation, the exotic squarks and superpartners of ordinary quarks are decoupled. Due to the fact that in the 3-3-1 models, one generation of quarks behaves differently from other two, by R-parity conservation, the mass mixing matrix of the squarks in this model are smaller than that in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Assuming substantial mixing in pairs of highest flavours, we are able to get mass spectrum and eigenstates of all the sfermions. In the effective approximation, the slepton mass splittings in the first two generations, are consistent with those in the MSSM, namely: $ m^2_{\tilde{l}_L} - m^2_{\tildeν_{l L}} = m_W^2 \cos 2\ga$ $(l=e, μ)$. In addition, within the above effective limit, there exists degeneracy among sneutrinos in each multiplet: $m^2_{\tildeν_{l L}} = m^2_{\tildeν_{l R}}$. In contradiction to the MSSM, the squark mass splittings are different for each generation and not to be $ m_W^2 \cos 2\ga$.

Higgs phenomenology of supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 model

We explore the Higgs sector in the supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 model and find new features in this sector. The charged Higgs sector is revised i.e., in difference of the previous work, the exact eigenvalues and states are obtained without any approximation. In this model, there are three Higgs bosons having masses equal to that of the gauge bosons--the W and extra X and Y. There is one scalar boson with mass of 91.4 GeV, which is closed to the $Z$ boson mass and in good agreement with present limit: 89.8 GeV at 95% CL. The condition of eliminating for charged scalar tachyon leads to splitting of VEV at the first symmetry breaking, namely, $w \simeq w^\prime$. The interactions among the standard model gauge bosons and scalar fields in the framework of the supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 model are presented. From these couplings, at some limit, almost scalar Higgs fields can be recognized in accordance with the standard model. The hadronic cross section for production of the bilepton charged Higgs boson at the CERN LHC in the effective vector boson approximation is calculated. Numerical evaluation shows that the cross section can exceed 35.8 fb.
