Level $-1/2$ realization of quantum N-toroidal algebras in type $C_n$

We construct a level $-\frac{1}{2}$ vertex representation of the quantum N-toroidal algebra for type $C_n$, which is a natural generalization of the usual quantum toroidal algebra. The construction also provides a vertex representation of the quantum toroidal algebra for type $C_n$ as a by-product.

Isomorphism between the R-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of quantum affine algebra: type C

An explicit isomorphism between the $R$-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of the quantum affine algebra in type $A$ was given by Ding and I. Frenkel (1993). We show that this result can be extended to types $B$, $C$ and $D$ and give a detailed construction for type $C$ in this paper. In all classical types the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the $R$-matrix presentation yields the Drinfeld generators. To prove that the resulting map is an isomorphism we follow the work of E. Frenkel and Mukhin (2002) in type $A$ and employ the universal $R$-matrix to construct the inverse map. A key role in our construction is played by a homomorphism theorem which relates the quantum affine algebra of rank $n-1$ in the $R$-matrix presentation with a subalgebra of the corresponding algebra of rank $n$ of the same type.

On quantum toroidal algebra of type $A_1$

In this paper we introduce a new quantum algebra which specializes to the $2$-toroidal Lie algebra of type $A_1$. We prove that this quantum toroidal algebra has a natural triangular decomposition, a (topological) Hopf algebra structure and a vertex operator realization.

Uncertainty relations based on Wigner-Yanase skew information

In this paper, we use certain norm inequalities to obtain new uncertain relations based on the Wigner-Yanase skew information. First for an arbitrary finite number of observables we derive an uncertainty relation outperforming previous lower bounds. We then propose new weighted uncertainty relations for two noncompatible observables. Two separable criteria via skew information are also obtained.

Correlation functions of charged free boson and fermion systems

Using the idea of the quantum inverse scattering method, we introduce the operators $\mathbf{B}(x), \mathbf{C}(x)$ and $\mathbf{\tilde{B}}(x), \mathbf{\tilde{C}}(x)$ corresponding to the off-diagonal entries of the monodromy matrix $T$ for the phase model and $i$-boson model in terms of bc fermions and neutral fermions respectively, thus giving alternative treatment of the KP and BKP hierarchies. We also introduce analogous operators $\mathbf{B}^{*}(x)$ and $\mathbf{C}^{*}(x)$ for the charged free boson system and show that they are in complete analogy to those of $bc$ fermionic fields. It is proved that the correlation function $\langle 0|\mathbf{C}(x_N)\cdots\mathbf{C}(x_1)\mathbf{B}(y_1)\cdots $ $\mathbf{B}(y_N)|0\rangle$ in the $bc$ fermionic fields is the inverse of the correlation function $\langle 0|\mathbf{C}^{*}(x_N)\cdots\mathbf{C}^{*}(x_1)\mathbf{B}^{*}(y_1)\cdots \mathbf{B}^{*}(y_N)|0\rangle$ in the charged free bosons.

Deformation of Cayley's hyperdeterminants

We introduce a deformation of Cayley's second hyperdeterminant for even-dimensional hypermatrices. As an application, we formulate a generalization of the Jacobi-Trudi formula for Macdonald functions of rectangular shapes generalizing Matsumoto's formula for Jack functions.

Isomorphism between the $R$-Matrix and Drinfeld Presentations of Quantum Affine Algebra: Types $B$ and $D$

Following the approach of Ding and Frenkel [Comm. Math. Phys. 156 (1993), 277-300] for type $A$, we showed in our previous work [J. Math. Phys. 61 (2020), 031701, 41 pages] that the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the $R$-matrix presentation of the quantum affine algebra yields the Drinfeld generators in all classical types. Complete details for type $C$ were given therein, while the present paper deals with types $B$ and $D$. The arguments for all classical types are quite similar so we mostly concentrate on necessary additional details specific to the underlying orthogonal Lie algebras.

Isomorphism between the $R$-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of Yangian in types $B$, $C$ and $D$

It is well-known that the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the $R$-matrix presentation of the Yangian in type $A$ yields generators of its Drinfeld presentation. Defining relations between these generators are known in an explicit form thus providing an isomorphism between the presentations. It has been an open problem since the pioneering work of Drinfeld to extend this result to the remaining types. We give a solution for the classical types $B$, $C$ and $D$ by constructing an explicit isomorphism between the $R$-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of the Yangian. It is based on an embedding theorem which allows us to consider the Yangian of rank $n-1$ as a subalgebra of the Yangian of rank $n$ of the same type.

Yangian doubles of classical types and their vertex representations

The Yangian double $\text{DY}_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ is introduced for the classical types of $\mathfrak{g}_N=\mathfrak{o}_{2n+1}$, $\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$, $\mathfrak{o}_{2n}$. Via the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix, the Yangian double is given the Drinfeld presentation. In addition, bosonization of level $1$ realizations for the Yangian double $\text{DY}_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ of non-simply-laced types are explicitly constructed.

Projection based lower bounds of concurrence for multipartite quantum systems

We study the concurrence of arbitrary-dimensional multipartite quantum states. Analytical lower bounds of concurrence for tripartite quantum states are derived by projecting high-dimensional states to $2\otimes 2\otimes 2$ substates. The results are then generalized to arbitrary multipartite quantum systems. Furthermore, the scheme enables us obtain lower bounds of concurrence for arbitrary four-partite quantum states by projecting high-dimensional states to arbitrary given lower dimensional substates. By detailed examples we show that our results improve the existing lower bounds of concurrence.

Dynamical quantum determinants and Pfaffians

We introduce the dynamical quantum Pfaffian on the dynamical quantum general linear group and prove its fundamental transformation identity. Hyper quantum dynamical Pfaffian is also introduced and formulas connecting them are given.

Quantum discord of certain two-qubit states

Quantum discord is an effective measure of quantum correlation introduced by Olliver and Zurek. We evaluate analytically the quantum discord for a large family of non-X-states. Exact solutions of the quantum discord are obtained of the four parametric space for non-X-states. Dynamic behavior of the quantum discord is also explored under the action of the Kraus operator.

Separability criteria based on Bloch representation of density matrices

We study separability criteria in multipartite quantum systems of arbitrary dimensions by using the Bloch representation of density matrices. We first derive the norms of the correlation tensors and obtain the necessary conditions for separability under partition of tripartite and four-partite quantum states. Moreover, based on the norms of the correlation tensors,we obtain the separability criteria by matrix method. Using detailed examples, our results are seen to be able to detect more entangled states than previous studies. Finally, necessary conditions of separability for multipartite systems are given under arbitrary partition.

Time optimal control based on classification of quantum gates

We study the minimum time to implement an arbitrary two-qubit gate in two heteronuclear spins systems. We give a systematic characterization of two-qubit gates based on the invariants of local equivalence. The quantum gates are classified into four classes, and for each class the analytical formula of the minimum time to implement the quantum gates is explicitly presented. For given quantum gates, by calculating the corresponding invariants one easily obtains the classes to which the quantum gates belong. In particular, we analyze the effect of global phases on the minimum time to implement the gate. Our results present complete solutions to the optimal time problem in implementing an arbitrary two-qubit gate in two heteronuclear spins systems. Detailed examples are given to typical two-qubit gates with or without global phases.

Constructing mutually unbiased bases from unextendible maximally entangled bases

We study mutually unbiased bases (MUBs) in which all the bases are unextendible maximally entangled ones. We first present a necessary and sufficient condition of constructing a pair of MUBs in $C^2 \otimes C^4$. Based on this condition, an analytical and necessary condition for constructing MUBs is given. Moreover we illustrate our approach by some detailed examples in $C^2 \otimes C^4$. The results are generalized to $C^2 \otimes C^d$ $(d\geq 3)$ and a concrete example in $C^2 \otimes C^8$ is given.

Poincaré series of relative symmetric invariants for SL$_n(\mathbb{C})$

Let (N, G), where N is a normal subgroup of G<SL_n(C), be a pair of finite groups and V a finite-dimensional fundamental G-module. We study the G-invariants in the symmetric algebra S(V) by giving explicit formulas of the Poincaré series for the induced modules and restriction modules. In particular, this provides a uniform formula of the Poincaré series for the symmetric invariants in terms of the McKay-Slodowy correspondence. Moreover, we also derive a global version of the Poincaré series in terms of Tchebychev polynomials in the sense that one needs only the dimensions of the subgroups and their group-types to completely determine the Poincaré series.

Detection of Genuine Multipartite Entanglement in Multipartite Systems

We investigate genuine multipartite entanglement in general multipartite systems. Based on the norms of the correlation tensors of a multipartite state under various partitions, we present an analytical sufficient criterion for detecting the genuine four-partite entanglement. The results are generalized to arbitrary multipartite systems.
