Enumerating log rational curves on some toric varieties

The genus 0, fixed-domain log Gromov-Witten invariants of a smooth, projective toric variety X enumerate maps from a general pointed rational curve to a smooth, projective toric variety passing through the maximal number of general points and with prescribed multiplicities along the toric boundary. We determine these invariants completely for the projective bundle X=P_{P^r}(O^s+O(-a)), proving a conjecture of Cela--Iribar López. A different conjecture when X is the blow-up of P^r at r points is disproven. Whereas the conjectures were predicted using tropical methods, we give direct intersection-theoretic calculations on moduli spaces of "naive log quasimaps."

Prime ideals in the Boolean polynomial semiring

In this article, we disprove a conjecture of F. Alarcón and D. Anderson and give a complete classification of the prime ideals in the one variable polynomial semiring with coefficients in Boolean semifield. We group the prime ideals of $\mathbb{B}[x]$ into three classes, indexed by integers.

Irreducible Unipotent Numerical Monoids

In our earlier article~\cite{CanSakran} we initiated a study of the complement-finite submonoids of the group of integer points of a unipotent linear algebraic group. In the present article, we continue to develop tools and techniques for analyzing our monoids. In particular, we initiate a theory of ideals for unipotent numerical monoids.

On Generalized Wilf Conjectures

We investigate complement-finite submonoids of the monoid of nonnegative integer points of a unipotent linear algebraic group $G$. These monoids are in general noncommutative but they specialize to the generalized numerical monoids of Cistco et al. We show that every unipotent numerical monoid has a unique finite minimal generating set. We propose a generalization of the Wilf conjecture in our setting. We contrast our Wilf conjecture against the Generalized Wilf Conjecture. Then we isolate two new families of unipotent numerical monoids called the {\em thick} and the {\em thin} unipotent numerical monoids. We prove that our Wilf conjecture holds for every thick (commutative) unipotent numerical monoid. Under additional assumptions on the conductors, we prove that our Wilf conjecture holds for every thin (commutative) unipotent numerical monoid.
