Analytical calculation of the observational parameters for tachyon inflation

We investigate the possibility of analytically calculating observational parameters in tachyon inflation cosmology, using the Hubble expansion rate as a function of the tachyon field. First, in light of the newer Planck results, we analyze previous investigations in which the test Hubble rate functions were confronted with Planck 2013 data. We propose and analyze a number of new test Hubble rate functions, finding considerable improvement and approaching reasonable agreement with recent observational data. For a class of these functions, we were able to carry out analytical calculations. As a novelty, we introduce a functional dependence of the slow-roll Hubble flow parameters as an input, which facilitates an analytical study of inflation. In this way, we obtain explicit expressions for the scalar spectral index ($n_{\rm s}$) and the tensor-to-scalar ratio ($r$). We confront our analytical and numerical predictions with Planck observational constraints. Finally, we discuss the proposed linear dependence between the first two slow-roll parameters in light of recent data from ACT DR6, DESI, and others, as well as the potential to generalize this dependence to other inflation models.

Planar Black holes and Entanglement Entropy in Analog Gravity Models

Via constructing an explicit Lagrangian for which the perturbation equations are analogues of a scalar field propagating in a planar black hole space-time, it is found that all planar black holes conformal to a Painlevé--Gullstrand type line element can be realized as analogue metrics. We also introduce the concept of holographic entanglement entropy for planar black-hole space-times. This is valid for an arbitrary choice of conformal and blackening factor, thereby vastly extending the number of known examples of explicitly known analogue metrics.

Primordial black hole formation in k-inflation models

The local primordial density fluctuations caused by quantum vacuum fluctuations during inflation grow into stars and galaxies in the late universe and, if they are large enough, also produce primordial black holes. We study the formation of the primordial black holes in $k$-essence inflation models with a potential characterized by an inflection point. The background and perturbation equations are integrated numerically for two specific models. Using the critical collapse and peaks formalism, we calculate the abundance of primordial black holes today.

A scaling invariance of the perturbations in $k$-inflation models

We study the background and perturbations in $k$-essence inflation models and show that a general $k$-essence exhibits a simple scaling property. In particular, we study two classes of $k$-inflation models with the potential characterized by an inflection point. We demonstrate that these models enjoy scaling properties that could be used to redefine input parameters so that the perturbation spectra satisfy correct normalization at the CMB pivot scale. The background and perturbation equations are integrated numerically for two specific models.

On attractor behavior in braneworld constant-roll inflation

We investigate in detail the attractor behavior of some inflationary models based on braneworld dynamics under the constant-roll condition. We describe the dynamics of the models, assuming that the second slow-roll parameter remains constant during inflation. We show that the dynamics of the considered models have the property of a cosmological attractor.

Analog Schwarzschild black hole from a nonisentropic fluid

We study the conditions under which an analog acoustic geometry of a relativistic fluid in flat spacetime can take the same form as the Schwarzschild black hole geometry. We find that the speed of sound must necessarily be equal to the speed of light. Since the speed of the fluid cannot exceed the speed of light, this implies that analog Schwarzschild geometry necessarily breaks down behind the horizon.

Analog dual to a 2+1-dimensional holographic superconductor

We study an analog hydrodynamic model that mimics a 3+1 AdS planar BH spacetime dual to a 2+1-dimensional superconductor. We demonstrate that the AdS$_4$ bulk and its holographic dual could be realized in nature in an analog gravity model based on fluid dynamics. In particular we mimic the metric of an $O_2$ holographic superconductor and calculate the entanglement entropy of a conveniently designed subsystem at the boundary of the analog AdS$_4$ bulk.

Inflationary RSII Model with a Matter in the Bulk and Exponential Potential of Tachyon Field

In this paper we study a tachyon cosmological model based on dynamics of a 3-brane in the second Randall-Sundrum (RSII) model extended to include matter in the bulk. The presence of matter in the bulk changes warp factor which leads to modification of inflationary dynamics. The additional brane behaves effectively as a tachyon. We calculate numerically observation parameters of inflation: the scalar spectral index ($n_s$) and the tensor-to-scalar ratio ($r$) for the exponential potential of tachyon field.

Numerical Calculation of Hubble Hierarchy Parameters and Observational Parameters of Inflation

We present results obtained by a software we developed for computing observational cosmological inflation parameters: the scalar spectral index ($n_s$) and the tensor-to-scalar ratio ($r$) for a standard single field and tachyon inflation, as well as for a tachyon inflation in the second Randall-Sundrum model with an additional radion field. The calculated numerical values of observational parameters are compared with the latest results of observations obtained by the Planck Collaboration. The program is written in C/C++. The \textit{GNU Scientific Library} is used for some of the numerical computations and R language is used for data analysis and plots.

Analog gravity in nonisentropic fluids

The analog acoustic metric has been originally derived for adiabatic acoustic perturbations propagating in an isentropic irrotational ideal fluid. In the framework of a Lagrangian hydrodynamic description we demonstrate that under certain conditions the usual acoustic metric can be derived for nonisentropic fluids. In a special case when the pressure takes a special form and the nonadiabatic perturbations are neglected the adiabatic acoustic perturbations corresponding to massless phonons propagate in an analog metric of the usual type.

Aspects of braneworld cosmology and holography

In a holographic braneworld universe a cosmological fluid occupies a 3+1 dimensional brane located at the boundary of the asymptotic AdS$_5$ bulk. The AdS/CFT correspondence and the second Randall-Sundrum model are combined to establish a relationship between the RSII braneworld cosmology and the boundary metric induced by the time dependent bulk geometry. Some physically interesting scenarios are discussed in the framework of the Friedmann Robertson Walker cosmology involving the RSII and holographic braneworlds.

Tachyon with an inverse power-law potential in a braneworld cosmology

We study a tachyon cosmological model based on the dynamics of a 3-brane in the bulk of the second Randall-Sundrum model extended to more general warp functions. A well known prototype of such a generalization is the bulk with a selfinteracting scalar field. As a consequence of a generalized bulk geometry the cosmology on the observer brane is modified by the scale dependent four-dimensional gravitational constant. In particular we study a power law warp factor which generates an inverse power-law potential $V\propto φ^{-n}$ of the tachyon field $φ$. We find a critical power $n_{\rm cr}$ that divides two subclasses with distinct asymptotic behaviors: a dust universe for $n>n_{\rm cr}$ and a quasi de Sitter universe for $0<n<n_{\rm cr}$.

Analog geometry in an expanding fluid from AdS/CFT perspective

The dynamics of an expanding hadron fluid at temperatures below the chiral transition is studied in the framework of AdS/CFT correspondence. We establish a correspondence between the asymptotic AdS geometry in the 4+1-dimensional bulk with the analog spacetime geometry on its 3+1 dimensional boundary with the background fluid undergoing a spherical Bjorken type expansion. The analog metric tensor on the boundary depends locally on the soft pion dispersion relation and the four-velocity of the fluid. The AdS/CFT correspondence provides a relation between the pion velocity and the critical temperature of the chiral phase transition.

Note on the thermodynamics and the speed of sound of a scalar field

We investigate the correspondence between a perfect fluid and a scalar field and show a possible way of expressing thermodynamic quantities such as entropy, particle number density, temperature and chemical potential in terms of the scalar field phi and its kinetic term X. We prove a theorem which relates isentropy with purely kinetic Lagrangian. As an application, we study the evolution of the gravitational potential in cosmological perturbation theory.

Pseudo-Schwarzschild Spherical Accretion as a Classical Black Hole Analogue

We demonstrate that a spherical accretion onto astrophysical black holes, under the influence of Newtonian or various post-Newtonian pseudo-Schwarzschild gravitational potentials, may constitute a concrete example of classical analogue gravity naturally found in the Universe. We analytically calculate the corresponding analogue Hawking temperature as a function of the minimum number of physical parameters governing the accretion flow. We study both the polytropic and the isothermal accretion. We show that unlike in a general relativistic spherical accretion, analogue white hole solutions can never be obtained in such post-Newtonian systems. We also show that an isothermal spherical accretion is a remarkably simple example in which the only one information--the temperature of the fluid, is sufficient to completely describe an analogue gravity system. For both types of accretion, the analogue Hawking temperature may become higher than the usual Hawking temperature. However, the analogue Hawking temperature for accreting astrophysical black holes is considerably lower compared with the temperature of the accreting fluid.
