Hardy inequalities for magnetic $p$-Laplacians

We establish improved Hardy inequalities for the magnetic $p$-Laplacian due to adding nontrivial magnetic fields. We also prove that for Aharonov-Bohm magnetic fields the sharp constant in the Hardy inequality becomes strictly larger than in the case of a magnetic-free $p$-Laplacian. We also post some remarks with open problems.

Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg identities, inequalities and their stabilities

We set up a one-parameter family of inequalities that contains both the Hardy inequalities (when the parameter is 1) and the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities (when the parameter is optimal). Moreover, we study these results with the exact remainders to provide direct understandings to the sharp constants, as well as the existence and non-existence of the optimizers of the Hardy inequalities and Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities. As an application of our identities, we establish some sharp versions with optimal constants and theirs attainability of the stability of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and several stability results of the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities.

Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities for curl-free vector fields and second order derivatives

The present work has as a first goal to extend the previous results in \cite{CFL20} to weighted uncertainty principles with nontrivial radially symmetric weights applied to curl-free vector fields. Part of these new inequalities generalize the family of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg (CKN) inequalities studied by Catrina and Costa in \cite{CC} from scalar fields to curl-free vector fields. We will apply a new representation of curl-free vector fields developed by Hamamoto in \cite{HT21}. The newly obtained results are also sharp and minimizers are completely described. Secondly, we prove new sharp second order interpolation functional inequalities for scalar fields with radial weights generalizing the previous results in \cite{CFL20}. We apply new factorization methods being inspired by our recent work \cite{CFL21}. The main novelty in this case is that we are able to find a new independent family of minimizers based on the solutions of Kummer's differential equations. We point out that the two types of weighted inequalities under consideration (first order inequalities for curl-free vector fields vs. second order inequalities for scalar fields) represent independent families of inequalities unless the weights are trivial.

Short proofs of refined sharp Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities

This note relies mainly on a refined version of the main results of the paper by F. Catrina and D. Costa (J. Differential Equations 2009). We provide very short and self-contained proofs. Our results are sharp and minimizers are obtained in suitable functional spaces. As main tools we use the so-called \textit{expand of squares} method to establish sharp weighted $L^{2}$-Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg (CKN) inequalities and density arguments.

Sharp second order uncertainty principles

We study sharp second order inequalities of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type in the euclidian space $\mathbb{R}^{N}$, where $N$ denotes the dimension. This analysis is equivalent to the study of uncertainty principles for special classes of vector fields. In particular, we show that when switching from scalar fields $u: \rr^n\rightarrow \mathbb{C}$ to vector fields of the form $\vec{u}:=\nabla U$ ($U$ being a scalar field) the best constant in the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle (HUP) increases from $\frac{N^{2}}{4}$ to $\frac{(N+2)^{2}}{4}$, and the optimal constant in the Hydrogen Uncertainty Principle (HyUP) improves from $\frac{\left( N-1\right)^{2}}{4}$ to $\frac{(N+1)^{2}}{4}$. As a consequence of our results we answer to the open question of Maz'ya (Integral Equations Operator Theory 2018) in the case $N=2$ regarding the HUP for divergence free vector fields.

Sharp constants and optimizers for a class of the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities

In this paper, we will use a suitable tranform to investigate the sharp constants and optimizers for the following Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities for a wide range of parameters $(r,p,q,s,μ,σ)$ and $0\leq a\leq1$: \begin{equation} \left({\displaystyle\int} \left\vert u\right\vert ^{r}\frac{dx}{\left\vert x\right\vert ^{s}}\right)^{1/r}\leq C\left( {\displaystyle\int} \left\vert \nabla u\right\vert ^{p}\frac{dx}{\left\vert x\right\vert ^μ% }\right) ^{a/p}\left({\displaystyle\int} \left\vert u\right\vert ^{q}\frac{dx}{\left\vert x\right\vert ^σ% }\right) ^{\left( 1-a\right) /q}. \end{equation} We are able to compute the best constants and the explicit forms of the extremal functions in numerous cases. When $0<a<1$, we can deduce the existence and symmetry of optimizers for a wide range of parameters. Moreover, in the particular classes $r=p\frac{q-1}{p-1}$ and $q=p\frac{r-1}{p-1}$, the forms of maximizers will also be provided in the spirit of Del Pino and Dolbeault ([12], 13]). In the case $a=1$, that is the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequality without the interpolation term, we will provide the exact maximizers for all the range of $μ\geq0$. The Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities with arbitrary norms on the Euclidean spaces will also be considered in the spirit of Cordero-Erausquin, Nazaret and Villani [10].

Equivalence of critical and subcritical sharp Trudinger-Moser-Adams inequalities

Sharp Trudinger-Moser inequalities on the first order Sobolev spaces and their analogous Adams inequalities on high order Sobolev spaces play an important role in geometric analysis, partial differential equations and other branches of modern mathematics. Such geometric inequalities have been studied extensively by many authors in recent years and there is a vast literature. There are two types of such optimal inequalities: critical and subcritical sharp inequalities, both are with best constants. Critical sharp inequalities are under the restriction of the full Sobolev norms for the functions under consideration, while the subcritical inequalities are under the restriction of the partial Sobolev norms for the functions under consideration. There are subtle differences between these two type of inequalities. Surprisingly, we prove in this paper that these critical and subcritical Trudinger-Moser and Adams inequalities are actually equivalent. Moreover, we also establish the asymptotic behavior of the supremum for the subcritical Trudinger-Moser and Adams inequalities on the entire Euclidean spaces (Theorem 1.1 and Theorem 1.3) and provide a precise relationship between the supremums for the critical and subcritical Trudinger-Moser and Adams inequalities (Theorem 1.2 and Theorem 1.4).

Sharp Adams type inequalities in Sobolev spaces $W^{m,\frac{n}{m}}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ for arbitrary integer $m$

The main purpose of our paper is to prove sharp Adams-type inequalities in unbounded domains of $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ for the Sobolev space $W^{m,\frac{n}{m}}\left(\mathbb{R} ^{n}\right)$ for any positive integer $m$ less than $n$. Our results complement those of Ruf and Sani \cite{RS} where such inequalities are only established for even integer $m$. Our inequalities are also a generalization of the Adams-type inequalities in the special case $n=2m=4$ proved in \cite{Y} and stronger than those in \cite{RS} when $n=2m$ for all positive integer $m$ by using different Sobolev norms.

Sharp singular Adams inequalities in high order Sobolev spaces

In this paper, we prove a version of weighted inequalities of exponential type for fractional integrals with sharp constants in any domain of finite measure in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$. Using this we prove a sharp singular Adams inequality in high order Sobolev spaces in bounded domain at critical case. Then we prove sharp singular Adams inequalities for high order derivatives on unbounded domains. Our results extend the singular Moser-Trudinger inequalities of first order in \cite{Ad2, R, LR, AdY} to the higher order Sobolev spaces $W^{m,\frac{n}{m}}$ and the results of \cite{RS} on Adams type inequalities in unbounded domains to singular case. Our singular Adams inequality on $W^{2,2}(\mathbb{R}^{4})$ with standard Sobolev norm at the critical case settles a unsolved question remained in \cite{Y}.

Existence and multiplicity of solutions to equations of $N-$Laplacian type with critical exponential growth in $\mathbb{R}^{N}$

In this paper, we deal with the existence and multiplicity of solutions to the nonuniformly elliptic equation of the N-Lapalcian type with a potential and a nonlinear term of critical exponential growth and satisfying the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition. In spite of a possible failure of the Palais-Smale compactness condition, in this article we apply minimax method to obtain the weak solution to such an equation. In particular, in the case of $N-$Laplacian, using the minimization and the Ekeland variational principle, we obtain multiplicity of weak solutions. Finally, we will prove the above results when our nonlinearity doesn't satisfy the well-known Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition and thus derive the existence and multiplicity of solutions for a much wider class of nonlinear terms $f$.
