Backlund transformation of the Geng-Xue system

We construct a Backlund transformation for the Geng-Xue system with the help of reciprocal and gauge transformations. Furthermore, we derive N-Backlund transformation for the Geng-Xue system resorting to Bianchi's permutability. As an application, we obtain some exact solutions of the Geng-Xue system including multi-kink, bell-shaped soliton. Finally, we discuss Backlund transformations for the Degasperis-Procesi and the Novikov equations, which are two reductions of the Geng-Xue system.

Smooth multisoliton solutions of the Geng-Xue equation

We present a reciprocal transformation which links the Geng-Xue equation to a particular reduction of the first negative flow of the Boussinesq hierarchy. We discuss two reductions of the reciprocal transformation for the Degasperis-Procesi and Novikov equations, respectively. With the aid of the Darboux transformation and the reciprocal transformation, we obtain a compact parametric representation for the smooth soliton solutions such as multi-kink solutions of the Geng-Xue equation.

On soliton solutions and soliton interactions of Kulish-Sklyanin and Hirota-Ohta systems

In this paper we consider a simplest two-dimensional reduction of the remarkable three-dimensional Hirota-Ohta system. The Lax pair of the Hirota-Ohta system was extended to a Lax triad by adding extra third linear equation, whose compatibility conditions with the Lax pair of the Hirota-Ohta imply another remarkable systems: the Kulish-Sklyanin system (KSS) together with its first higher commuting flow, which we can call as vector complex MKdV. This means that any common particular solution of these both two-dimensional integrable systems yields a corresponding particular solution of the three-dimensional Hirota-Ohta system. Using the dressing Zakharov-Shabat method we derive the $N$-soliton solutions of these systems and analyze their interactions, i.e. derive explicitly the shifts of the relative center-of-mass coordinates and the phases as functions of the discrete eigenvalues of the Lax operator. Next we relate to these NLEE system of Hirota--Ohta type and obtain its $N$-soliton solutions

A new 3-component Degasperis-Procesi hierarchy

We study the bi-Hamiltonian structures for the hierarchy of a 3-component generalization of the Degasperis-Procesi (3-DP) equation. We show that all Hamiltonian functionals in the hierarchy are homogenous, and Hamiltonian functionals of the hierarchy in the negative direction are local. We construct two different Liouville transformations by construct a reciprocal transformation. The associated system for the first one is a reduction of a negative flow in a modified Yajima-Oikawa hierarchy. The associated system for the second one and the associated system for another 3-component CH type system under a equivalent transformation are shown to be different reductions of a negative generalized mKdV equation, besides the Hamiltonian structures of the 3-DP equation under this Liouville transformation are considered. In addition, we consider a limit for the 3-DP equation.

Reciprocal link for a coupled Camassa-Holm type equation

A coupled Camassa-Holm type equation is linked to the first negative flow of a modified Drinfeld-Sokolov III hierarchy by a transformation of reciprocal type. Meanwhile the Lax pair and bi-Hamiltonian structure behaviors of this coupled Camassa-Holm type equation under change of variables are analyzed.

A four-component Camassa-Holm type hierarchy

We consider a 3$\times$3 spectral problem which generates four-component CH type systems. The bi-Hamiltonian structure and infinitely many conserved quantities are constructed for the associated hierarchy. Some possible reductions are also studied.
