Bound state solutions of the Klein Gordon equation with energy-dependent potentials

In this manuscript, we investigate the exact bound state solution of the Klein-Gordon equation for an energy-dependent Coulomb-like vector plus scalar potential energies. To the best of our knowledge, this problem is examined in literature with a constant and position dependent mass functions. As a novelty, we assume a mass-function that depends on energy and position and revisit the problem with the following cases: First, we examine the case where the mixed vector and scalar potential energy possess equal magnitude and equal sign as well as an opposite sign. Then, we study pure scalar and pure vector cases. In each case, we derive an analytic expression of the energy spectrum by employing the asymptotic iteration method. We obtain a non-trivial relation among the tuning parameters which lead the examined problem to a constant mass one. Finally, we calculate the energy spectrum by the Secant method and show that the corresponding unnormalized wave functions satisfy the boundary conditions. We conclude the manuscript with a comparison of the calculated energy spectra versus tuning parameters.

Scattering, bound and quasi-bound states of the generalized symmetric Woods-Saxon potential

The exact analytical solutions of the Schrödinger equation for the generalized symmetrical Woods-Saxon potential are examined for the scattering, bound and quasi-bound states in one dimension. The reflection and transmission coefficients are analytically obtained. Then, the correlations between the potential parameters and the reflection-transmission coefficients are investigated, and a transmission resonance condition is derived. Occurrence of the transmission resonance has been shown when incident energy of the particle is equal to one of the resonance energies of the quasi-bound states.

Corrected Analytical Solution of the Generalized Woods-Saxon Potential for Arbitrary $\ell$ States

The bound state solution of the radial Schrödinger equation with the generalized Woods-Saxon potential is carefully examined by using the Pekeris approximation for arbitrary $\ell$ states. The energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions are analytically obtained for different $n$ and $\ell$ quantum numbers. The obtained closed forms are applied to calculate the single particle energy levels of neutron orbiting around $^{56}$Fe nucleus in order to check consistency between the analytical and Gamow code results. The analytical results are in good agreement with the results obtained by Gamow code for $\ell=0$.

Solution of the Radial Schrödinger Equation for the Potential Family $V(r)=\frac{A}{r^{2}}-\frac{B}{r}+Cr^κ$ using the Asymptotic Iteration Method

We present the exact and iterative solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation for a class of potential, $V(r)=\frac{A}{r^{2}}-\frac{B}{r}+Cr^κ$, for various values of $κ$ from -2 to 2, for any $n$ and $l$ quantum states by applying the asymptotic iteration method. The global analysis of this potential family by using the asymptotic iteration method results in exact analytical solutions for the values of $κ=0 ,-1$ and -2. Nevertheless, there are no analytical solutions for the cases $κ=1$ and 2. Therefore, the energy eigenvalues are obtained numerically. Our results are in excellent agreement with the previous works.

The Energy Eigenvalues of the Two Dimensional Hydrogen Atom in a Magnetic Field

In this paper, the energy eigenvalues of the two dimensional hydrogen atom are presented for the arbitrary Larmor frequencies by using the asymptotic iteration method. We first show the energy eigenvalues for the no magnetic field case analytically, and then we obtain the energy eigenvalues for the strong and weak magnetic field cases within an iterative approach for $n=2-10$ and $m=0-1$ states for several different arbitrary Larmor frequencies. The effect of the magnetic field on the energy eigenvalues is determined precisely. The results are in excellent agreement with the findings of the other methods and our method works for the cases where the others fail.

Any $l$-state solutions of the Hulthén potential by the asymptotic iteration method

In this article, we present the analytical solution of the radial Schrödinger equation for the Hulthén potential within the framework of the asymptotic iteration method by using an approximation to the centrifugal potential for any $l$ states. We obtain the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions for different screening parameters. The wave functions are physical and energy eigenvalues are in good agreement with the results obtained by other methods for different $δ$ values. In order to demonstrate this, the results of the asymptotic iteration method are compared with the results of the supersymmetry, the numerical integration, the variational and the shifted 1/N expansion methods.

Arbitrary l-state solutions of the rotating Morse potential by the asymptotic iteration method

For non-zero $\ell$ values, we present an analytical solution of the radial Schrödinger equation for the rotating Morse potential using the Pekeris approximation within the framework of the Asymptotic Iteration Method. The bound state energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions are obtained for a number of diatomic molecules and the results are compared with the findings of the super-symmetry, the hypervirial perturbation, the Nikiforov-Uvarov, the variational, the shifted 1/N and the modified shifted 1/N expansion methods.
