Holomorphic Supersymmetric Nambu--Jona-Lasinio Model with Application to Electroweak Symmetry Breaking

Based on our idea of an alternative supersymmetrization of the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model for dynamical symmetry breaking, we analyze the resulted new model with a holomorphic dimension-five operator in the superpotential. The approach provides a new direction for modeling dynamical symmetry breaking in a supersymmetric setting. In particular, we adopt the idea to formulate a model that gives rise to the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model as the low energy effective theory with both Higgs superfields as composites. A renormalization group analysis is performed to establish the phenomenological viability of the scenario, with admissible background scale that could go down to the TeV scale. We give the Higgs mass range predicted.

A Completed Chiral Fermionic Sector Model with Little Higgs

The Standard Model has some intrinsic beauty in the sector of fermions and gauge bosons. Its scalar sector, though minimal, is however haunted by the hierarchy problem. The fermionic spectrum also have two major problems, the flavor problem with its fundamental notion about why there are three families, and the phenomenological limitation of massless neutrinos. We present here a completed chiral fermionic sector model, based on a little Higgs model, that has the plausible potential of addressing all these problems of the SM at an accessible energy scale, and comment briefly on its phenomenology. The focus here is not on the little Higgs part, but rather on the electroweak quarks and leptons from the model, which of course from an important part of the full model.

Supersymmetry without R-parity : Constraints from Leptonic Phenomenology

R-parity conservation is an {\it ad hoc} assumption in the most popular version of the supersymmetric standard model. Most studies of models which do allow for R-parity violation have been restricted to various limiting scenarios. The single-VEV parametrization used in this paper provides a workable framework to analyze phenomenology of the most general theory of SUSY without R-parity. We perform a comprehensive study of leptonic phenomenology at tree-level. Experimental constraints on various processes are studied individually and then combined to yield regions of admissible parameter space. In particular, we show that large R-parity violating bilinear couplings are not ruled out, especially for large $\tanβ$.
