Neutrino oscillations in vortex and twisting magnetic fields

The behavior of the neutrino flux in vortex and twisting magnetic fields is considered within the left-right symmetric model. By way of illustration of the magnetic fields we discuss the magnetic fields of the coupled sunspots (CS's) which are the sources of the future solar flares. It is expected that the neutrinos have such multipole moments as the charge radius, the magnetic and anapole moments. The evolution equation in the Schrodinger-like form is found and all magnetic-induced resonance conversions are analyzed. It is demonstrated that in the case of the high-energy flares the sizeable depletion of the $ν_{eL}$ neutrinos caused by their resonance absorptions takes place. Possibilities of observations of this phenomena are investigated at neutrino telescopes whose work is based on the reaction of the coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering.

The $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly, Higgs bosons and heavy neutrinos

Within the model based on the $SU (2)_L\times SU (2)_R\times U (1)_{B-L} $ gauge group and having the bidoublet and two triplets of the Higgs fields (left-right model) the Higgs sector impact on the value of the muon anomalous magnetic moment is considered. The contributions coming from the doubly charged Higgs bosons, the singly charged Higgs bosons and the lightest neutral Higgs boson are taken into account. The obtained value of the muon anomalous magnetic moment is the function of the Higgs boson masses and the Higgs boson couplings constants (CC's). We express the most of part of the CC's as the functions of the heavy neutrino sector parameters. We show that at the particular parameters values the model under study could explain the BNL'00 result.

$(g-2)_μ$ anomaly within the left-right symmetric model

The muon anomalous magnetic moment is discussed within the model based on the $SU(2)_L\times SU(2)_R\times U(1)_{B-L}$-gauge group. The contributions of the neutrinos having the dipole magnetic moment (DMM) are calculated. The cases of the Majorana and Dirac neutrino are considered. It is shown that to account for the $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly DMMs connected with heavy neutrinos should be on the order of $\mbox{few}\times10^{-8}μ_B$, that is at variance with the theoretically predicted values.

Solar neutrinos as indicators of the Sun's activity

Opportunity of the solar flares (SF's) prediction observing the solar neutrino fluxes is investigated. In three neutrino generations the evolution of the neutrino flux traveling the coupled sunspots (CS's) which are the SF source is considered. It is assumed that the neutrinos possess both the dipole magnetic moment and the anapole moment while the magnetic field above the CS's may reach the values $10^5-10^6$ Gs, displays the twisting nature and has the nonpotential character. The possible resonance conversions of the solar neutrino flux are examined. Since the $ν_{eL}\to ν_{μL}$ resonance takes place before the convective zone, its existence can in no way be connected with the SF. However, when the solar neutrino flux moves through the CS's in the preflare period, then it may undergo the additional resonance conversions and, as a result, depleting the electron neutrinos flux may be observed.

The Higgs boson decays with the lepton flavor violation

Within the left-right symmetric model (LRM) the decays $$S_1\toμ^++τ^-,\qquad S_1\toμ^-+τ^+$$ where $S_1$ is an analog of the standard model Higgs boson, are considered. The widths of this decays are found in the third order of the perturbation theory. Since the main contribution to the decay widths is caused by the diagram with the light and heavy neutrinos in the virtual state then investigation of this decays could shed light upon the neutrino sector structure. The obtained decay widths critically depend on the charged gauge bosons mixing angle $ξ$ and the heavy-light neutrinos mixing angle $φ$. The LRM predicts the values of these angles as functions of the vacuum expectation values $v_L$ and $v_R$. Using the results of the existing experiments, on looking for the additional charged gauge boson $W_2$ and on measuring the electroweak $ρ$ parameter, gives $$\sinξ\leq5\times10^{-4},\qquad\sinφ\leq2.3\times10^{-2}. $$ However, even using the upper bounds on $\sinξ$ and $\sinφ$ one does not manage to get the upper experimental bound on the branching ratio $\mbox{BR}(S_1\toτμ)_{exp}$ being equal to $0.25\times10^{-2}$. The theoretical expression proves to be on two orders of magnitude less than $\mbox{BR}(S_1\toτμ)_{exp}$.

Neutrino mixings as a source of lepton flavor violations

Within the left-right symmetric model (LRM) the $Z$ boson decay into the channel $Z\toτμ$ are investigated. The branching ratios of this decay is found in the third order of the perturbation theory. The obtained expression does not equal to zero only at the existence of the neutrino mixings. It means that from the point of view of the LRM nonconservation both of neutral and of charged lepton flavors has the same nature. As a result, elucidation of the decays $Z\toł_i\overline{l}_k$ ($i\neq k$) could provide data concerned the neutrino sector structure of the LRM. The neutrino sector parameters which could be measured in that case are as follows: (i) difference of the heavy neutrino masses; (ii) heavy-heavy neutrino mixing; (iii) heavy-light neutrino mixing.

Solar flares and their associated processes

The evolution of the solar neutrino flux which is described by the wave function $Ψ^T=(ν_{eL},ν_{XL}, \overlineν_{eL}, \overlineν_{XL})$ is examined. Our treatment of the problem holds for any standard model (SM) extensions possessing nonzero dipole magnetic and anapole moments. When the solar neutrino flux moves through the solar flare (SF) region in the preflare period, then it undergoes the additional (compared with the SM) resonance conversions. As a result, the weakening the electron neutrinos flux takes place. On the other hand, existence of the additional resonances lead to appearance of the $\overlineν_{eL}$ and $\overlineν_{XL}$ neutrinos that could be detected by the terrestrial detectors. The hypothesis of the $ν_e$-induced $β$-decays is also discussed. According to it, before the large SF, decreasing the $β$-decay rate for some elements takes place. The possible influence of the electron antineutrino flux produced in the superflares on the regime of the hypothetical georeactor is considered.

Influence of solar flares on behavior of solar neutrino flux

Limiting ourselves to two flavor approximation the motion of the neutrino flux in the solar matter and twisting magnetic field is considered. For the neutrino system described by the 4-component wave function $Ψ^T = (ν_{eL}, ν_{XL}, {\overlineν}_{eR}, {\overlineν}_{XL})$, where $X=μ, τ$, an evolution equation is found. Our consideration carries general character, that is, it holds for any SM extensions with massive neutrinos. The resonance transitions of the electron neutrinos are investigated. Factors which influence on the electron neutrino flux, crossing a region of solar flares (SF) are defined. When the SF is absent a terrestrial detector records the electron neutrino flux weakened at the cost both of vacuum oscillations and of the MSW resonance conversion only. On the other hand, the electron neutrino flux passed the SF region in preflare period proves to be further weakened in so far as it undergoes one (Majorana neutrino) or two (Dirac neutrino) additional resonance conversions, apart from the MSW resonance and vacuum oscillations. The hypothesis of the $ν_e$-induced decays which states that decreasing the beta decay rates of some elements of the periodic table is caused by reduction of the solar neutrino flux is discussed as well.
