Evolution and Possible Forms of Primordial Antimatter and Dark Matter celestial objects

The structure and evolution of Primordial Antimatter domains and Dark matter objects are analysed. Relativistic low-density antimatter domains are described. The Relativistic FRW perfect-fluid solution is found for the characterization of i) ultra-high density antimatter domains, ii) high-density antimatter domains, and iii) dense anti-matter domains. The possible sub-domains structures is analyzed. The structures evolved to the time of galaxy formation are outlined. Comparison is given with other primordial celestial objects. The features of antistars are outlined. In the case of WIMP dark matter clumps, the mechanisms of their survival to the present time are discussed. The cosmological features of neutrino clumping due to fifth force are examined.

Statistical analyses of antimatter domains, created by nonhomogeneous baryosynthesis in a baryon asymmetrical Universe

Within the framework of scenarios of nonhomogeneous baryosynthesis, the formation of macroscopic antimatter domains is predicted in a matter-antimatter asymmetrical Universe. The properties of antimatter within the domains are outlined; the matter-antimatter boundary interactions are studied. The correlation functions for two astrophysical objects are calculated. The theoretical expression in the limiting process of the two-points correlation function of an astrophysical object and an antibaryon is derived.

Scattering of GWs on wormholes: foreshadow and afterglow/echoes from binary merges

We study specific features of the scattering of gravitational waves on wormholes and normal matter objects. We derive and solve the GW energy transport equation and show that the scattered signal lies in the same frequency spectrum bands as the basic signal. The scattering forms specific long living tails which always accompany the basic signal and have a universal form. The scattering on normal matter objects forms tails which have always the retarding character, while wormholes lead to advanced tails as well. In addition, wormholes may produce considerably stronger effect, when the total energy in tails exceeds the energy of the incident wave by the factor up to $10^{3}$ . In both cases the retarding tails have a long living character when the mean amplitude behaves with time as $h\sim 1/\sqrt{t+R/c}$. For a single GW event the echo tails give only a tiny contribution to the mean amplitude. However such tails accumulate with events and may be observed by their contribution to the noise produced by the stochastic GW background.

Implications of non-analytical f(R) gravity at Solar-System scales

We motivate and analyze the weak-field limit of a non-analytical Lagrangian for the gravitational field. After investigating the parameter space of the model, we impose constraints on the parameters characterizing this class of theories imposed by Solar-System data, i.e. we establish the validity range where this solution applies and refine the constraints by the comparison with planetary orbits. As a result, we claim that this class of models is viable within different astrophysical scales.

Fundamentals and recent developments in non-perturbative canonical Quantum Gravity

The aim of this review is to provide a detailed account of the physical content emerging from this story of the canonical approach to Quantum Gravity. All the crucial steps in our presentation have a pedagogical character, providing the reader with the necessary tools to become involved in the field. Such a pedagogical aspect is then balanced and completed by subtle discussions on specific topics which we regard as relevant for the physical insight they outline on the treated questions. Our analysis is not aimed at convincing the reader about a pre-constituted point of view, bu instead our principal goal is to review the picture of Canonical Quantum Gravity on the basis of the concrete facts at the ground of its clear successes, but also of its striking shortcomings.

E.C.G. Stueckelberg: a forerunner of modern physics II

We will investigate some aspects of Stueckelberg's work, which have contributed to the development of modern physics. On the one hand, the definition of diffuse boundaries in the calculation of scattering amplitudes will be reviewed, and compared with the other proposals by physicists of that time. On the other hand, the applications of Stueckelberg's description of a massive vector field in the Standard Model will be discussed.

Fundamental Symmetries of the extended Spacetime

On the basis of Fourier duality and Stone-von Neumann theorem, we will examine polymer-quantization techniques and modified uncertainty relations as possible 1-extraD compactification schemes for a phenomenological truncation of the extraD tower.

Exponential Lagrangian for the Gravitational Field and the problem of Vacuum Energy

We will analyze two particular features of an exponential gravitational Lagrangian. On the one hand, while this choice of the Lagrangian density allows for two free parameters, only one scale, the cosmological constant, arises as fundamental when the proper Einsteinian limit is to be recovered. On the other hand, the vacuum energy arising from $f(R)$ theories such that $f(0)\neq 0$ needs a cancellation mechanism, by which the present value of the cosmological constant can be recast.

Riemannian and non-Riemannian extensions of geometrodynamics versus Einsteinian gravity

We analyze some extensions of General Relativity. Within the framework of modified gravity, the Newtonian limit of a class of gravitational actions is discussed on the basis of the corresponding scalar-tensor model. For a generalized asymmetric metric, autoparallel trajectories are defined under suitable conditions at first approximation order.

Extended Schouten classification for non-Riemannian geometries

A generalized connection, including Christoffel coefficients, torsion, non-metricity tensor and metric-asymmetricity object, is analyzed according to the Schouten classification. The inverse structure matrix is found in the linearized regime, autoparallel trajectories are defined and the contribution of the components of the connection are clarified at first-order approximation.

Scalar-tensor analysis of an exponential Lagrangian for the Gravitational Field

Within the scheme of modified gravity, an exponential Lagrangian density will be considered, and the corresponding scalar-tensor description will be addressed for both positive and negative values of the cosmological constant. For negative values of the cosmological term, the potential of the scalar field exhibits a minimum, around which scalar-field equations can be linearized. The study of the deSitter regime shows that a comparison with the modified-gravity description is possible in an off-shell region, i.e., in a region where the classical equivalence between the two formulations is not fulfilled. Furthermore, despite the negative cosmological constant, an accelerating deSitter phase is predicted in the region where the series expansion of the exponential term does not hold. For positive values of the cosmological constant, the quantum regime is analyzed within the framework of Loop Quantum Cosmology.

Dark Energy as a Relic of the Vacuum-Energy Cancellation?

We analyze the dynamical implications of an exponential Lagrangian density for the gravitational field, as referred to an isotropic FRW Universe. Then, we discuss the features of the generalized deSitter phase, predicted by the new Friedmann equation. The existence of a consistent deSitter solution arises only if the ratio between the vacuum-energy density and that associated with the fundamental length of the theory acquires a tantalizing negative character. This choice allows us to explain the present universe dark energy as a relic of the vacuum-energy cancellation due to the cosmological constant intrinsically contained in our scheme. The corresponding scalar-tensor description of the model is addressed too, and the behavior of the scalar field is analyzed for both negative and positive values of the cosmological term. In the first case, the Friedmann equation is studied both in vacuum and in presence of external matter, while, in the second case, the quantum regime is approached in the framework of ''repulsive'' properties of the gravitational interaction, as described in recent issues in Loop Quantum Cosmology. In particular, in the vacuum case, we find a pure non-Einsteinian effect, according to which a negative cosmological constant provides an accelerating deSitter dynamics, in the region where the series expansion of the exponential term does not hold.
