Metal Foil Detectors assembly for the beam and background monitoring in the LHCb experiment

After an upgrade in 2019--2021, the LHCb experiment is taking data in Run 3 (2022--2026) with an instantaneous luminosity of proton-proton collisions of $2\!\times\!10^{33}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. This article presents the Radiation Monitoring System (RMS-R3) for controlling the beam and background conditions at LHCb. It runs continuously during the detector's operation, and independently of the main LHCb data acquisition. Its design is based on robust and radiation-hard Metal Foil Detector technology. The RMS-R3 monitors the instantaneous luminosity and its evolution. The analysis of the RMS-R3 Run 3 data demonstrates its linear response with a high reproducibility in a five orders of magnitude dynamic range of luminosity over a long period of operation.

Probing approach of the Parton-Hadron-String Dynamics in production for K$_S$ mesons

Heavy ion collisions provide a unique probe of the quark-gluon plasma properties. The role of partonic degrees of freedom in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5 TeV by studying the production cross section is studied. Experimental observable like the number of K$_S$ mesons is sensitive to the kinematic properties of the reaction. Our results demonstrate the importance of angular distribution for the partonic degrees of freedom in hadronization process.

Proceedings of the third French-Ukrainian workshop on the instrumentation developments for HEP

The reports collected in these proceedings have been presented in the third French-Ukrainian workshop on the instrumentation developments for high-energy physics held at LAL, Orsay on October 15-16. The workshop was conducted in the scope of the IDEATE International Associated Laboratory (LIA). Joint developments between French and Ukrainian laboratories and universities as well as new proposals have been discussed. The main topics of the papers presented in the Proceedings are developments for accelerator and beam monitoring, detector developments, joint developments for large-scale high-energy and astroparticle physics projects, medical applications.
