Mesoporous alumina- and silica-based crystalline nanocomposites with tailored anisotropy: methodology, structure and properties

We present several recently synthesized nanocomposites consisting of liquid crystals as well as an organic molecular crystal embedded into the nanochannels of mesoporous alumina and silica. As liquid-crystalline mesogens achiral, nematogen and chiral cholesteric guest molecules infiltrated into nanochannels by spontaneous imbibition were chosen. The molecular ordering inside the nanochannels, which can be tailored by modifying the surface anchoring, was characterized by optical polarimetry (linear and/or circular birefringence) in combination with X-ray diffraction. For the synthesis of the solid crystalline nanocomposites ferroelectric triglycine sulfate (TGS) nanocrystals were deposited into the nanochannels by slow evaporation of saturated water solutions imbibed into the porous hosts. Their textural and physicochemical properties were explored by x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and dielectric techniques.

On a new formulas for a direct and inverse Cauchy problems of heat equation

In this paper a solution of the direct Cauchy problems for heat equation is founded in the Hermite polynomial series form. A well-known classical solution of direct problem is represented in the Poisson integral form. The author shows the formulas for the solution of the inverse Cauchy problems have a symmetry with respect to the formulas for the corresponding direct problems. The obtained solution formulas for the inverse problems can serve as a basis for regularizing computational algorithms while well-known classical formula for the solution of inverse problem did not possess such properties and can't be a basis for regularizing computational algorithms.

Vector transform operators for piece-wise harmonic functions

The vector transform operators are investigated; these operators are used at the solution of boundary value problems in piecewise homogeneous spherically symmetric areas. In particular, examples of transformation operators for vector boundary value problems are given for third vector boundary value problem in the unit circle and for the Dirichlet problem in the unit circle.

Matrix Fourier transform with discontinuous coefficients

The explicit construction of direct and inverse Fourier's vector transform with discontinuous coefficients is presented. The technique of applying Fourier's vector transform with discontinuous coefficients for solving problems of mathematical physics.Multidimensional integral transformations with non-separated variables for problems with discontinuous coefficients are constructed in this work. The coefficient discontinuities focused on the of parallel hyperplanes. In this work explicit formulas for the kernels in the case of ideal coupling conditions are obtained; the basic identity of the integral transform is proved; technique of integral transforms is developed
