An Optimal Two Parameter Bounds for the Identric Mean

In this note we obtain sharp bounds for the identric mean in terms of a two parameter family of means. Our results generalize and extend recent bounds due to Y. M. Chu & al. (2011), and to M.-K. Wang & al. (2012).

Partial Fraction Expansions for Newton's and Halley's Iterations for Square Roots

When Newton's method, or Halley's method is used to approximate the $p${th} root of $1-z$, a sequence of rational functions is obtained. In this paper, a beautiful formula for these rational functions is proved in the square root case, using an interesting link to Chebyshev's polynomials. It allows the determination of the sign of the coefficients of the power series expansion of these rational functions. This answers positively the square root case of a proposed conjecture by Guo(2010).

A Note on The Positivity of the Coefficients of Some Power Series Expansions

In this short note, a general result concerning the positivity, under some conditions, of the coefficients of a power series is proved. This allows us to answer positively a question raised by Guo (2010) about the sign of the coefficients of a power series relating the residual errors in Halley's iterations for the $p$th root.

Inequalities related to the error function

In this note we consider inequalities involving the error function $ϕ$. Our methodes give new proofs of some known inequalities of Komatsu, and of Szarek and Werner, and also produce two families of inequalities that give upper and lower bounds for $ϕ$. Moreover the continued fractions expansion of $ϕ$ is obtained.

$H^1$-Projective Banach Spaces

We study the $H^1$-projective Banach spaces. We prove that they have the Analytic Radon-Nikodym Property, and that they are cotype 2 spaces which satisfy Grothendieck's Theorem. We show also that the ultraproduct of $H^1$-projective spaces is $H^1$-projective. Other results are also discussed.

On The Interpolation of Injective or Projective Tensor Products of Banach Spaces

We prove a general result on the factorization of matrix-valued analytic functions. We deduce that if $(E_0,E_1)$ and $(F_0,F_1)$ are interpolation pairs with dense intersections, then under some conditions on the spaces $E_0$, $E_1$, $F_0$ and $F_1$, we have $$ [E_0\hat\otimes F_0,E_1\hat\otimes F_1]_t= [E_0, E_1]_t\hat\otimes[F_0, F_1]_t, 0 < t< 1.$$ We find also conditions on the spaces $E_0$, $E_1$, $F_0$ and $F_1$, so that the following holds $$ [E_0\wcheck\otimes F_0,E_1\wcheck\otimes F_1]_t= [E_0,E_1]_t\wcheck\otimes [F_0,F_1]_t, 0 <t< 1.$$ Some applications of these results are also considered.
