Dimension Monotonicity in Laguerre Ensembles I: Fractional Moments and Shape Transitions in the Unitary Case

Let $W_{N,N+λ}$ have the Laguerre unitary distribution with size $N$ and real shape $λ\ge0$. For $s>0$, we consider the normalized moment $$C_{s,λ}(N)=N^{-s-1}\mathbb{E}[\operatorname{Tr}W_{N,N+λ}^{s}]$$ and its dimension decrement $Γ_{N,s,λ}=C_{s,λ}(N)-C_{s,λ}(N+1)$. Iterating the Laguerre moment recurrence separates this decrement into a square source and a nonnegative shape source. The square source gives the complete finite-dimensional sign diagram: $C_{s,0}(N)$ decreases for $0 2$, increases for $1 0$ and every $N$, the decrement is strictly increasing in $λ$. The same decomposition determines the critical shrinking-shape scales: $N^{-2s}$ for $0 1/2$. In the convex range $1<s<2$, where the two sources have opposite signs, the transition occurs when $Nλ_N$ is of order one, with critical constant $$τ_s^*=\frac{s(s-1)(2-s)}{6(2s-1)}.$$ In the convex range, both crossings are unique for every finite $N$, and we determine their locations to second order. At $s=1/2$ we also obtain a bounded-shape two-term expansion, which supplies the unitary estimates used in the companion orthogonal paper.

Dimension Monotonicity in Laguerre Ensembles II: Average Singular Values and the Rectangularity Transition in the Orthogonal Case

We study the normalized half moment $α_{\mathbb R}^{(λ)}(N)$ of the size-$N$ Laguerre orthogonal ensemble for real shape $λ\ge0$. At integer shape this is the expected average singular value of an $N\times(N+λ)$ real Gaussian matrix. The square mean increases with the dimension, whereas every real shape $λ\ge1$ decreases. Between these two regimes the decrement is strictly increasing in $λ$, and hence has a unique zero in $(0,1)$ for every $N$. There is also a unique crossing of the Marchenko--Pastur limit. Both thresholds converge to $λ_*=1-π/4$, and their first corrections show that they separate on the scale $(\log N)/N$. The proof starts from an exact decomposition of the real half moment into its complex counterpart and a positive orthogonal correction. Recent unitary estimates take care of the complex term. An Abel completion, together with a Laguerre connection formula, turns the orthogonal correction into a positive diagonal series; the square case, the regime $λ\ge1$, and the transition can then all be read from this same series.

Conditional Aggregation in Context-Aware Fuzzy Systems: A Fibered Representation Theory

Conditional aggregation operators evaluate profiles relative to admissible contexts whose active sources, criteria, or rules may vary. For a fixed context, such an operator is indeed an ordinary monotone functional on the restricted profile. The nontrivial structure appears at the family level, where local functionals on different profile spaces must be compared and possibly represented by one global rule. We develop a fibered representation theory for families of conditional aggregation operators. After separating fiberwise properties from cross-context compatibility, we characterize global representability without assuming that the full universe is itself an admissible context. Such a family is generated by a monotone global functional if and only if its local values respect the pointwise order after canonical zero extension; when this holds, explicit least and greatest global generators are available. This yields a hierarchy whose inclusions can be strict between arbitrary, zero-extension-consistent, and globally representable families. For finite systems, we then establish an extremal extension theorem for partial capacities and derive an exact overlap criterion for gluing local capacities into global ones. Finally, calibrated representation-preserving integral schemes unify the Choquet, Sugeno, and Shilkret cases: zero-extension consistency is equivalent to projective compatibility of local set functions, while overlap-compatible local capacities yield sharp lower and upper fuzzy-integral scores. Evidence-fusion and multi-criteria applications interpret these results as robustness under inactive sources, context-dependent interaction, and structural uncertainty under incomplete cross-context information.

Context Localization for Generalized Level-Based Evaluation in Knowledge-Based Systems

We study context localization for generalized level-based evaluation in knowledge-based systems. The framework models situations where a structured nonnegative score, defined on facts, rules, cases, criteria or evidence units, is evaluated through conditional aggregation tests on admissible knowledge contexts. The generalized level measure maximizes a monotone set function over all contexts whose aggregated support reaches a prescribed level. We characterize when filtering the score by a context $B$ is equivalent to localizing the admissible contexts by intersection with $B$. The main theorem shows that this consistency holds for all monotone set functions if and only if two structural conditions are satisfied: monotonicity with respect to contexts and a reduction property excluding positive localized support outside $B$. We analyze pointwise and block-generated mechanisms producing the reduction property, extend the result to parameterized systems, and interpret it as a stability criterion for context-dependent evidence selection, non-additive support evaluation and level-based knowledge aggregation.

Generalized level measure based on a family of conditional aggregation operators

Extending the concept of level measure $μ(\{f\ge a\})$ we introduce a generalized level measure based on a~family of conditional aggregations operators. We investigate in detail several basic properties, including connections with the family of level measures, the generalized survival function and the transformation of monotone measures to hyperset. Applications in scientometrics and information science are described.

Approximately invertible elements in non-unital normed algebras

We introduce a concept of approximately invertible elements in non-unital normed algebras which is, on one side, a natural generalization of invertibility when having approximate identities at hand, and, on the other side, it is a direct extension of topological invertibility to non-unital algebras. Basic observations relate approximate invertibility with concepts of topological divisors of zero and density of (modular) ideals. We exemplify approximate invertibility in the group algebra, Wiener algebras, and operator ideals. For Wiener algebras with approximate identities (in particular, for the Fourier image of the convolution algebra), the approximate invertibility of an algebra element is equivalent to the property that it does not vanish. We also study approximate invertibility and its deeper connection with the Gelfand and representation theory in non-unital abelian Banach algebras as well as abelian and non-abelian C*-algebras.

Choquet-Sugeno-like operator based on relation and conditional aggregation operators

We introduce a~\textit{Choquet-Sugeno-like operator} generalizing many operators for bounded functions and monotone measures from the literature, e.g., Sugeno-like operator, Lovász and Owen measure extensions, $\rF$-decomposition integral with respect to a~partition decomposition system, and others. The new operator is based on the concepts of dependence relation and conditional aggregation operators, but it does not depend on $t$-level sets. We also provide conditions for which the Choquet-Sugeno-like operator coincides with some Choquet-like integrals defined on finite spaces and appeared recently in the literature, e.g. reverse Choquet integral, $d$-Choquet integral, $\rF$-based discrete Choquet-like integral, some version of $C_{\rF_1\rF_2}$-integral, $\mathrm{C}\mathrm{C}$-integrals (or Choquet-like Copula-based integral) and discrete inclusion-exclusion integral. Some basic properties of the Choquet-Sugeno-like operator are studied.

New monotone measure-based integrals inspired by scientific impact problem

In this paper, we define new functionals generalizing scientometric indices proposed by Mesiar and Gągolewski in 2016 to overcome some limitations of h-index. These functionals are integrals with respect to a monotone measure as well as aggregation functions under some mild conditions. We derive numerous properties of the new integrals and analyze subadditivity property in detail. We also give a partial solution to the problem posed by Mesiar and Stupňanová to find an algorithm for computing the pseudo-decomposition integral of n-th order based on operations $\oplus=+$ and $\odot=\wedge,$ which will be useful in multi-criteria decision problems.

General form of Chebyshev type inequality for generalized Sugeno integral

We prove a~general form of Chebyshev type inequality for generalized upper Sugeno integral in the form of necessary and sufficient condition. A key role in our considerations is played by the~class of $m$-positively dependent functions which includes comonotone functions as a~proper subclass. As a~consequence, we state an equivalent condition for Chebyshev type inequality to be true for all comonotone functions and any monotone measure. Our results generalize many others obtained in the framework of q-integral, seminormed fuzzy integral and Sugeno integral on the real half-line. Some further consequences of these results are obtained, among others Chebyshev type inequality for any functions. We also point out some flaws in existing results and provide their improvements.

Probabilistic-valued decomposable set functions with respect to triangle functions

In the framework of the generalized measure theory the decomposable probabilistic-valued set functions are introduced with triangle functions $τ$ in an appropriate probabilistic metric space as natural candidates for the "addition", leading to the concept of $τ$-decomposable measures. Several set functions, among them the classical (sub)measures, previously defined $τ_T$-submeasures, $τ_{L,A}$-submeasures as well as recently introduced Shen's (sub)measures are described and investigated in a unified way. Basic properties and characterizations of $τ$-decomposable (sub)measures are also studied and numerous extensions of results from the above mentioned papers are provided.

An integral with respect to probabilistic-valued decomposable measures

Several concepts of approximate reasoning in uncertainty processing are linked to the processing of distribution functions. In this paper we make use of probabilistic framework of approximate reasoning by proposing a Lebesgue-type approach to integration of non-negative real-valued functions with respect to probabilistic-valued decomposable (sub)measures. Basic properties of the corresponding probabilistic integral are investigated in detail. It is shown that certain properties, among them linearity and additivity, depend on the properties of the underlying triangle function providing (sub)additivity condition of the considered (sub)measure. It is demonstrated that the introduced integral brings a new tool in approximate reasoning and uncertainty processing with possible applications in several areas.

On weighted strong type inequalities for the generalized weighted mean operator

The generalized weighted mean operator $\mathbf{M}^{g}_{w}$ is given by $$[\mathbf{M}^{g}_{w}f](x)= g^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{W(x)}\int_{0}^{x}w(t)g(f(t))\,\mathrm{d}t\right),$$ with $$W(x)=\int_{0}^{x} w(s)\,\mathrm{d}s, \quad \textrm{for} x \in (0, +\infty),$$ where $w$ is a positive measurable function on $(0,+\infty)$ and $g$ is a real continuous strictly monotone function with its inverse $g^{-1}$. We give some sufficient conditions on weights $u,v$ on $(0,+\infty)$ for which there exists a positive constant $C$ such that the weighted strong type $(p,q)$ inequality $$\left(\int_{0}^{\infty} u(x)\Bigl([\mathbf{M}^{g}_{w}f](x)\Bigr)^{q}\,\mathrm{d}x \right)^{1 \over q} \leq C \left(\int_{0}^{\infty}v(x)f(x)^{p}\,\mathrm{d}x \right)^{1 \over p} $$ holds for every measurable non-negative function $f$, where the positive reals $p,q$ satisfy certain restrictions.

On Toeplitz localization operators

We present a unified approach to study properties of Toeplitz localization operators based on the Calderón and Gabor reproducing formula. We show that these operators with functional symbols on a plane domain may be viewed as certain pseudodifferential operators (with symbols on a line, or certain compound symbols).

On boundedness of Calderón-Toeplitz operators

We study the boundedness of Toeplitz-type operators defined in the context of the Calderón reproducing formula considering the specific wavelets whose Fourier transforms are related to Laguerre polynomials. Some sufficient conditions for simultaneous boundedness of these Calderón-Toeplitz operators on each wavelet subspace for unbounded symbols are given, where investigating the behavior of certain sequence of iterated integrals of symbols is helpful. A number of examples and counterexamples is given.

Wavelets from Laguerre polynomials and Toeplitz-type operators

We study Toeplitz-type operators with respect to specific wavelets whose Fourier transforms are related to Laguerre polynomials. On the one hand, this choice of wavelets underlines the fact that these operators acting on wavelet subspaces share many properties with the classical Toeplitz operators acting on the Bergman spaces. On the other hand, it enables to study poly-Bergman spaces and Toeplitz operators acting on them from a different perspective. Restricting to symbols depending only on vertical variable in the upper half-plane of the complex plane these operators are unitarily equivalent to a multiplication operator with a certain function. Since this function is responsible for many interesting features of these Toeplitz-type operators and their algebras, we investigate its behavior in more detail. As a by-product we obtain an interesting observation about the asymptotic behavior of true polyanalytic Bergman spaces. Isomorphisms between the Calderón-Toeplitz operator algebras and functional algebras are described and their consequences are discussed.

On distance distribution functions-valued submeasures related to aggregation functions

Probabilistic submeasures generalizing the classical (numerical) submeasures are introduced and discussed in connection with some classes of aggregation functions. A special attention is paid to triangular norm-based probabilistic submeasures and semi-copula-based probabilistic submeasures. Some algebraic properties of classes of such submeasures are also studied.
