On the Drinfeld doubles of Laistrygonian algebras in positive characteristic

In this work, we study restricted Laistrygonian algebras over a field of positive characteristic $p$. We compute their Drinfeld double $\mathtt{D_p(q,a)}$ and give explicit presentations by generators and relations. We prove that $\mathtt{D_p(q,a)}$ is a pointed Hopf algebra. For $\mathtt{D_p(1,a)}$, we describe an abelian exact sequence of Hopf algebras and identify one of its quotients as a restricted enveloping Lie algebra. This exact sequence enables us to classify the finite-dimensional simple $\mathtt{D_p(1,a)}$-modules. We also introduce an infinite-dimensional Hopf algebra covering the restricted Drinfeld double and study its relation with the corresponding finite-dimensional case. Using this covering together with a Frobenius map, we construct a $3\times 3$ commutative diagram whose rows and columns are exact sequences of Hopf algebras. In particular, our approach provides a unified treatment of the Drinfeld doubles associated with restricted Laistrygonian algebras in arbitrary positive characteristic.

Finite-dimensional Nichols algebras over dual Radford algebras

For $n,m\in \mathbb{N}$, let $H_{n,m}$ be the dual of the Radford algebra of dimension $n^{2}m$. We present new finite-dimensional Nichols algebras arising from the study of simple Yetter-Drinfeld modules over $H_{n,m}$. Along the way, we describe the simple objects in ${}^{H_{n,m}}_{H_{n,m}}\mathcal{YD}$ and their projective envelopes. Then, we determine those simple modules that give rise to finite-dimensional Nichols algebras for the case $n=2$. There are 18 possible cases. We present by generators and relations the corresponding Nichols algebras on five of these eighteen cases. As an application, we characterize finite-dimensional Nichols algebras over indecomposable modules for $n=2=m$ and $n=2$, $m=3$, which recovers some results of the second and third author in the former case, and of Xiong in the latter.
