Fermion Dipole Moments from R-parity Violating Parameters

We have developed an efficient formulation for the study of the generic supersymmetric standard model, which admits all kind of R-parity violating terms. Using the formulation, we discuss all sources of fermion dipole moment contributions from R-parity violating, or rather lepton number violating, parametersand the constraints obtained. Stringent constraints comparable to those from neutrino masses are resulted in some cases.

Observing CP Violating MSSM Higgs Bosons at Hadron Colliders ?

We report on the possibility of observing Higgs sector CP violation of the minimal supersymmetric standard model at a hadron machine. The CP phase dependent cross-sections for the $VH_i$ associated production processes are given for the Fermilab Tevatron and CERN LHC. Substantial production cross-sections for channels of all three Higgs bosons simultaneously are shown to be possible, giving a drect indication of the CP violation. The observability of the Higgs signals are discussed.

Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment, Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, and Supersymmetry

The recent measurement on the muon anomalous magnetic moment $a_μ$ shows a $2.6σ$ deviation from the standard model value. We show that it puts strong constraints on the parameter space of the two-higgs doublet model (2HDM) II. The dominant contribution of the Higgses comes at the two-loop level, and in order to explain the data it favors a pseudoscalar $A$ with a light mass range and a large $\tanβ$. At 95% C.L., upper limit for $m_{\scriptscriptstyle A}$ is $29 (55) (85)$ GeV for $\tanβ=30 (45) (60)$, and $\tan β$ is bounded below at 17. This is in sharp contrast to the conclusion one draws from considering one-loop Higgs contributions alone. Finally, we also discuss the role of the Higgs contributions in the minimal supersymmetric standard model.

$μ\to e γ$ from Supersymmetry without R parity

Starting from the new sources of $LL$- and $LR$- scalar (slepton) mixings due to R-parity violation, we discuss the structure of lepton-flavor violation focusing on the radiative decay of muon into electron. Using an optimal parametrization, we give the general formulae for the one-loop contributions. from which we discuss all combinations of R-parity violating parameters having possibly a substantial contribution to the $μ\to e γ$ decay width. An exact numerical study is performed to obtain explicit bounds on the parameters under the present experimental limit. The most interesting one involves a combination of bilinear and trilinear couplings.

Electric Dipole Moments in the Generic Supersymmetric Standard Model

The generic supersymmetric standard model is a model built from a supersymmetrized standard model field spectrum the gauge symmetries only. The popular minimal supersymmetric standard model differs from the generic version in having R-parity imposed by hand. We review an efficient formulation of the model and some of the recently obtained interesting phenomenological features, focusing on one-loop contributions to fermion electric dipole moments.

Some Recent Results from the Generic Supersymmetric Standard Model

The generic supersymmetric standard model is a model built from a supersymmetrized standard model field spectrum the gauge symmetries only. The popular minimal supersymmetric standard model differs from the generic version in having R-parity imposed by hand. We review an efficient formulation of the model and some of the recently obtained interesting phenomenological features. The latter includes R-parity violating contributions to scalar masses that had been largely overlooked and the related contributions to fermion electric dipole moments and $μ\to e γ$.

One-loop Neutron Electric Dipole Moment from Supersymmetry without R-parity

We present a detailed analysis together with exact numerical calculations on one-loop contributions to neutron electric dipole moment from supersymmetry without R-parity, focusing on the gluino, chargino, and neutralino contributions. Apart from the neglected family mixing among quarks, complete formulae are given for the various contributions, through the quark dipole operators, to which the present study is restricted. We discuss the structure and main features of the R-parity violating contributions and the interplay between the R-parity conserving and violating parameters. In particular, the parameter combination $μ_i^*λ^{\prime}_{i11}$, under the optimal parametrization adopted, is shown to be solely responsible for the R-parity violating contributions in the supersymmetric loop diagrams. While $μ_i^*λ^{\prime}_{i11}$ could bear a complex phase, the latter is not necessary to have a R-parity violating contribution.

The Generic Supersymmetric Standard Model as the Complete Theory of Supersymmetry without R-parity

The generic supersymmetric standard model is a model built from a supersymmetrized standard model field spectrum the gauge symmetries only. The popular minimal supersymmetric standard model differs from the generic version in having R-parity imposed by hand. We review an efficient formulation of the model in which all the admissible R-parity violating terms are incorporated without bias. The model gives many new interesting R-parity violating phenomenological features only started to be studied recently. Some of our recent results will be discussed, including newly identified 1-loop contributions to neutrino masses and electric dipole moments of neutron and electron. This is related to the largely overlooked R-parity violating contributions to squark and slepton mixings, which we also present in detail.

R-parity Violating Contribution to Neutron EDM at One-loop Order

We present the full result for the down squark mass-squared matrix in the complete theory of supersymmetry without R-parity where all kind of R-parity violating terms are admitted without bias. An optimal parametrization, the single-VEV parametrization, is used. The major result is a new contribution to $LR$ squark mixing, involving both bilinear and trilinear R-parity violating couplings. Among other things, the latter leads to neutron electric dipole moment at one-loop level. Similiar mechanism leading to electron electric dipole moment at the same level. We present here a short report on major features of neutron electric dipole moment from supersymmetry without R-parity and give the interesting constraints obtained.

LR Scalar Mixings and One-loop Neutrino Masses

Within the framework of the complete theory of supersymmetry without R-parity, where all possible R-parity violating terms are admitted, we perform a systematic analytical study of all sources of neutrino masses up to ``direct one-loop" (defined explicitly below) level. In the passing, we present the full result for squark and slepton masses. In particular, there are interesting $LR$ squark and slepton mixings, which involve both bilinear and trilinear R-parity violating parameters. The existence and important phenomenological implications of such terms have been largely overlooked in previous studies. In particular, in the studies under which either one type of the couplings is assumed to vanish or neglected, the terms would not show up. The $LR$ mixings play a central role in neutrino mass generation. Our results look straight forward to be obtained, which, in our opinion, is an illustration of the effectiveness of our formulation adopted.

Some interesting recent results will be discussed, including newly identified 1-loop contributions to neutrino masses and electric dipole moments of neutron and electron, resulted from R-parity violating LR squark and slepton mixings.

Could a Slepton be the Zee boson?

We study the feasibility of incorporating the popular Zee model for neutrino mass in the framework of the supersymmetric standard model. While a singlet slepton has the right quantum number to play the role of the Zee charged scalar boson, the SUSY framework introduces extra contributions. We derive conditions for the Zee contributions to dominate, hence retaining the flavor of the Zee model.

Zee Neutrino Mass Model in SUSY Framework

We study the Zee model of neutrino mass in the framework of R-parity violating supersymmetry. Within the matter contents of the minimal supersymmetric standard model, any one of the three right-handed sleptons could be a suitable candidate for the charged-singlet scalar of the Zee model, and one of the Higgs doublets provides the extra necessary vacuum expectation value. A combination of one bilinear and two trilinear R-parity-violating couplings then completes the model. In this framework, we also discuss other various contributions to neutrino masses and derive the conditions for the dominance of the contribution from the Zee model, and hence maintain the successfully Zee mass texture. However, this model within the minimal supersymmetric standard model is shown to be only marginally feasible. More general versions of supersymmetrization of the Zee model are also discussed. A particularly interesting example that has extra Higgs doublets while the slepton, especially the selectron, keeps the role of the Zee scalar is illustrated.

Pseudo-Dirac Neutrinos

We propose a scheme in which a pseudo-Dirac structure for three family of light neutrinos is generated naturally. An extended Higgs sector with a majoron is used for the generation of the leptonic number violating neutrino Majorana mass. The resultant neutrino mass matrix could easily fit all available experimental data. We discuss relevant constraints on the scales involved for the model to be phenomenologically viable.

On Neutrino Masses and Mixings from Extra Dimensions

In the framework of a Kaluza-Klein type theory with the Standard Model fields localized on a 4-dimensional section while gravity propagates in a full $4+δ$-dimensional space-time, we examine a mechanism of naturally small neutrino mass generation through couplings of Standard Model singlet fermion(s) living also in the full space-time. A numerical studies is carried out on the charged current universality constraint from the ratio of pion decay partial widths. The bounds obtained on the fundamental mass scale could be stringent.

Neutrino Oscillations from Supersymmetry without R-parity - Its Implications on the Flavor Structure of the Theory

We discuss here some flavor structure aspects of the complete theory of supersymmetry without R-parity addressed from the perspective of fitting neutrino oscillation data based on the recent Super-Kamiokande result. The single-VEV parametrization of supersymmetry without R-parity is first reviewed, illustrating some important features not generally appreciated. For the flavor structure discussions, a naive, flavor model independent, analysis is presented, from which a few interesting things can be learned.
