Classification of singularities in the problem of motion of the Kovalevskaya top in a double force field

The problem of motion of the Kovalevskaya top in a double force field is investigated (the integrable case of A.G. Reyman and M.A. Semenov-Tian-Shansky without a gyrostatic momentum). It is a completely integrable Hamiltonian system with three degrees of freedom not reducible to a family of systems with two degrees of freedom. The critical set of the integral map is studied. The critical subsystems and bifurcation diagrams are described. The classification of all nondegenerate critical points is given. The set of these points consists of equilibria (nondegenerate singularities of rank 0), of singular periodic motions (nondegenerate singularities of rank 1), and also of critical two-frequency motions (nondegenerate singularities of rank 2).

Smale-Fomenko diagrams and rough topological invariants of the Kowalevski-Yehia case

We present the complete analytical classification of the atoms arising at the critical points of rank 1 of the Kowalevski-Yehia gyrostat. To classify the Smale-Fomenko diagrams, all separating values of the gyrostatic momentum are found. We present a kind of constructor of the Fomenko graphs; its application gives the complete description of the rough topology of this integrable case. It is proved that there exists exactly nine groups of identical molecules (not considering the marks). These groups contain 22 stable types of graphs and 6 unstable ones with respect to the number of critical circles on the critical levels.

Types of critical points of the Kowalevski gyrostat in double field

The problem of motion of the Kowalevski type gyrostat in double force field is considered. According to the classification used in the theory of Liouville integrable Hamiltonian systems, the types of critical points of all ranks of the integral map are calculated.
