Modelling wormholes in $f(R,T)$ gravity

In this work we propose the modelling of static wormholes within the $f(R,T)$ extended theory of gravity perspective. We present some models of wormholes, which are constructed from different hypothesis for their matter content, i.e., different relations for their pressure components (radial and lateral) and different equations of state. The solutions obtained for the shape function of the wormholes obey the necessary metric conditions. They show a behaviour similar to those found in previous references about wormholes, which also happens to our solutions for the energy density of such objects. We also apply the energy conditions for the wormholes physical content.

Two fluid anisotropic dark energy models in a scale invariant theory

Some anisotropic Bianchi V dark energy models are investigated in a scale invariant theory of gravity. We consider two non interacting fluids such as dark energy and a bulk viscous fluid. Dark energy pressure is considered to be anisotropic in different spatial directions. A dynamically evolving pressure anisotropy is obtained from the models. The models favour phantom behaviour. It is observed that, in presence of dark energy, bulk viscosity has no appreciable affect on the cosmic dynamics.

LRS Bianchi type-I cosmological model with constant deceleration parameter in $f(R,T)$ gravity

A spatially homogeneous anisotropic LRS Bianchi type-I cosmological model is studied in $f(R,T)$ gravity with a special form of Hubble's parameter, which leads to constant deceleration parameter. The parameters involved in the considered form of Hubble parameter can be tuned to match, our models with the $Λ$CDM model. With the present observed value of the deceleration parameter, we have discussed physical and kinematical properties of a specific model. Moreover, we have discussed the cosmological distances for our model.

The simplest non-minimal matter-geometry coupling in the $f(R,T)$ cosmology

The $f(R,T)$ gravity is an extended theory of gravity in which the gravitational action contains general terms of both the Ricci scalar $R$ and trace of the energy-momentum tensor $T$. In this way, $f(R,T)$ models are capable of describing a non-minimal coupling between geometry (through terms in $R$) and matter (through terms in $T$). In this article we construct a cosmological model from the simplest non-minimal matter-geometry coupling within the $f(R,T)$ gravity formalism, by means of an effective energy-momentum tensor, given by the sum of the usual matter energy-momentum tensor with a dark energy contribution, with the latter coming from the matter-geometry coupling terms. We apply the energy conditions to our solutions in order to obtain a range of values for the free parameters of the model which yield a healthy and well-behaved scenario. For some values of the free parameters which are submissive to the energy conditions application, it is possible to predict a transition from a decelerated period of the expansion of the universe to a period of acceleration (dark energy era). We also propose further applications of this particular case of the $f(R,T)$ formalism in order to check its reliability in other fields, rather than cosmology.

Magnetized strange quark model with Big Rip singularity in $f(R,T)$ gravity

LRS (Locally Rotationally symmetric) Bianchi type-I magnetized strange quark matter cosmological model have been studied based on $f(R,T)$ gravity. The exact solutions of the field equations are derived with linearly time varying deceleration parameter which is consistent with observational data (from SNIa, BAO and CMB) of standard cosmology. It is observed that the model start with big bang and ends with a Big Rip. The transition of deceleration parameter from decelerating phase to accelerating phase with respect to redshift obtained in our model fits with the recent observational data obtained by Farook et al. in 2017. The well known Hubble parameter $H(z)$ and distance modulus $μ(z)$ are discussed with redshift.

Anisotropic cosmological models in $f(R,T)$ gravity with variable deceleration parameter

The objective of this work enclosed with the study of spatially homogeneous anisotropic Bianchi type-I universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity (where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T$ is the trace of stress energy momentum tensor) in two different cases viz. $f(R,T)=R+2f(T)$ and $f(R,T)=f_1(R)+f_2(T)$ with bulk viscosity matter content. In this study, we consider a time varying deceleration parameter, which generates an accelerating universe to obtain the exact solution of the field equations. The physical and kinematical properties of both the models are discussed in detail for the future evolution of the universe. We have explored the nature of WEC, DEC, SEC and energy density for both the cases. We have found that both the models, with bulk viscosity matter component, show an acceleration of the universe. We have also shown that the cosmic jerk parameter is compatible with the three kinematical data sets.

Accelerating Dark Energy Cosmological Model in Two Fluid with Hybrid Scale Factor

In this paper, we have investigated the anisotropic behavior of the accelerating universe in Bianchi V space time in the frame work of General Relativity (GR). The matter field we have considered is of two non interacting fluids i.e. the usual string fluid and dark energy (DE) fluid. In order to represent the pressure anisotropy, the skewness parameters are introduced along three different spatial directions. To achieve a physically realistic solutions to the field equations, we have considered a scale factor, known as hybrid scale factor, which is generated by a time varying deceleration parameter. This simulates a cosmic transition from early deceleration to late time acceleration. It is observed that the string fluid dominates the universe at early deceleration phase but does not affect nature of cosmic dynamics substantially at late phase where as, the DE fluid dominates the universe in present time, which is in accordance with the observations results. Hence, we analysed here the role of two fluids in the transitional phases of universe with respect to time which depicts the reason behind the cosmic expansion and DE. The role of DE with variable equation of state parameter (EoS), skewness parameters also discussed along with physical and geometrical properties.

Bianchi type VI1 cosmological model with wet dark fluid in scale invariant theory of gravitation

In this paper, we have investigated Bianchi type VIh, II and III cosmological model with wet dark fluid in scale invariant theory of gravity, where the matter field is in the form of perfect fluid and with a time dependent gauge function (Dirac gauge). A non-singular model for the universe filled with disorder radiation is constructed and some physical behaviors of the model are studied for the feasible VIh (h = 1) space-time.

Scalar field and time varying Cosmological constant in $f(R,T)$ gravity for Bianchi type-I Universe

In this article, we have analysed the behaviour of scalar field and cosmological constant in $f(R,T)$ theory of gravity. Here, we have considered the simplest form of $f(R,T)$ i.e. $f(R,T)=R+2f(T)$, where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T$ is the trace of the energy momentum tensor and explored the spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Locally Rotationally Symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type-I cosmological model. It is assumed that the Universe is filled with two non-interacting matter sources namely scalar field (normal or phantom) with scalar potential and matter contribution due to $f(R,T)$ action. We have discussed two cosmological models according to power law and exponential law of the volume expansion along with constant and exponential scalar potential as sub models. Power law models are compatible with normal (quintessence) and phantom scalar field whereas exponential volume expansion models are compatible with only normal (quintessence) scalar field. The values of cosmological constant in our models are in agreement with the observational results. Finally, we have discussed some physical and kinematical properties of both the models.

Einstein energy-momentum complex for a phantom black hole metric

In this paper we calculate the energy distribution E(r) associated with a static spherically symmetric non-singular phantom black hole metric in Einstein's prescription in general relativity. As required for Einstein energy-momentum complex, we perform calculations in quasi-Cartesian coordinates. We also calculate momentum components and get zero values as expected from the geometry of the metric.

Kaluza-Klein cosmological model in $f(R,T)$ gravity with $Λ(T)$

A class of Kaluza-Klein cosmological models in $f(R,T)$ theory of gravity have been investigated. In the work, we have considered the functional $f(R,T)$ to be in the form $f(R,T)=f(R)+f(T)$ with $f(R)=λR$ and $f(T)=λT$. Such a choice of the functional $f(R,T)$ leads to an evolving effective cosmological constant $Λ$ which depends on the stress energy tensor. The source of the matter field is taken to be a perfect cosmic fluid. The exact solutions of the field equations are obtained by considering a constant deceleration parameter which leads two different aspects of the volumetric expansion namely a power law and an exponential volumetric expansion. Keeping an eye on the accelerating nature of the universe in the present epoch, the dynamics and physical behaviour of the models have been discussed. From statefinder diagnostic pair we found that the model with exponential volumetric expansion behaves more like a $Λ$CDM model.

Effect of silicon resistivity on its porosification using metal induced chemical etching

A comparison of porous structures formed from silicon (Si) wafers with different resistivities has been reported here based on the morphological studies carried out using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The porous Si samples have been prepared using metal induced etching (MIE) technique from two different Si wafers having two different resistivities. It is observed that porous Si containing well aligned Si nanowires are formed from high resistivity (1-20 $Ω$cm) Si wafer whereas interconnected pores or cheese like structures are formed from low resistivity (0.02 $Ω$cm ) Si wafers after MIE. An explanation for the different porosification processes has also been proposed based on the initial doping level where number of dopants seems to be playing an important role on the etching process. Visible photoluminescence have been observed from all the porous samples possibly due to quantum confinement effect.
