We investigate on the existence of solutions with initial datum U0 in L3. Our chief goal is to establish the existence interval (0,T) uniquely considering the size and the absolute continuity of |U0(x)|3.
The aim of the paper is to investigate on some questions of local regularity of a suitable weak solution to the Navier-Stokes Cauchy problem. The results are obtained in the wake of the ones, well known, by Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg.
The paper is concerned with the IBVP of the Navier-Stokes equations. The goal is the construction of a weak solution enjoying some new properties. Of course, we look for properties which are global in time. The results hold assuming an initial data $v_0 \in J^2(Ω)$.
We investigate the Navier-Stokes initial boundary value problem in the half-plane $R^2_+$ with initial data $u_0 \in L^\infty(R^2_+)\cap J_0^2(R^2_+)$ or with non decaying initial data $u_0\in L^\infty(R^2_+) \cap J_0^p(R^2_+), p > 2$ . We introduce a technique that allows to solve the two-dimesional problem, further, but not least, it can be also employed to obtain weak solutions, as regards the non decaying initial data, to the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes IBVP. This last result is the first of its kind.
