Black Holes with a charged quantum dust core

To understand the nature of the black holes that exist in the Universe, it is also necessary to study what happens to the (quantum) matter that collapses and forms such objects. In this work, we consider a dust ball with an electrically charged central core and study its quantum spectrum by quantising the geodesic equation for individual dust particles in the corresponding Reissner-Nordstr\"om spacetime. As in the neutral case investigated previously, we find a ground state of the dust ball with the size of a fraction of the outer horizon. Moreover, we determine a self-consistent configuration of layers in the ground state corresponding to an effective mass function that increases linearly with the areal radius and has no inner Cauchy horizon. We then briefly speculate on the possible phenomenological consequences for the endpoint of the gravitational collapse.

Thermodynamic and configurational entropy of quantum Schwarzschild geometries

We study different entropies for coherent states representing the geometry of spherically symmetric compact systems. We show that the thermodynamic entropy reproduces the Bekenstein-Hawking result in the presence of thermal modes at the Hawking temperature if the object is a black hole and saturates the Bekenstein bound for more general compact objects. We also analyse the information entropy of the quantum coherent state without radiation and find further support against the singular Schwarzschild geometry.

Configurational entropy of black hole quantum cores

Two types of information entropy are studied for the quantum states of a model for the matter core inside a black hole geometry. A detailed description is first given of the quantum mechanical picture leading to a spectrum of bound states for a collapsing ball of dust in general relativity with a non-trivial ground state. Information entropies are then computed, shedding new light on the stability of the ground state and the spectrum of higher excited states.

Probing the minimal geometric deformation with trace and Weyl anomalies

The method of minimal geometric deformation (MGD) is used to derive static, strongly gravitating, spherically symmetric, compact stellar distributions. The trace and Weyl anomalies are then employed to probe the MGD in the holographic setup, as a realistic model, playing a prominent role in AdS/CFT.

AdS$_5$-Schwarzschild deformed black branes and hydrodynamic transport coefficients

A family of deformed AdS$_5$-Schwarzschild black branes is here derived, employing the membrane paradigm of AdS/CFT. The solution of the Einstein-Hilbert action, with the Gibbons-Hawking term and a counter-term that eliminates eventual divergences, yields a partition function associated with the dual theory which allows the computation of the entropy, pressure and free energy, as state functions, in the canonical ensemble. AdS/CFT near-horizon methods are then implemented to compute the shear viscosity-to-entropy ratio, then restricting the range of the parameter that defines a family of deformed black branes.

Deformed AdS4-Reissner-Nordstr\"om black branes and shear viscosity-to-entropy density ratio

A family of deformed AdS4-Reissner-Nordstr\"om black branes, governed by a free parameter, is derived using the ADM formalism, in the context of the membrane paradigm. Their new event horizons, the Hawking temperature and other aspects are scrutinized. AdS/CFT near-horizon methods are then implemented to compute the shear viscosity-to-entropy ratio for the deformed AdS4-Reissner-Nordstr\"om metric. The Killing equation is shown to yield new values for the free parameter and the shear viscosity-to-entropy ratio is used to derive a reliable range for tidal charge.

The emergence of flagpole and flag-dipole fermions in fluid/gravity correspondence

The emergence of flagpole and flag-dipole singular spinor fields is explored, in the context of fermionic sectors of fluid/gravity correspondence, arising from the duality between the gravitino, in supergravity, and the phonino, in supersymmetric hydrodynamics. Generalized black branes, whose particular case consists of the AdS--Schwarzschild black brane, are regarded. The correspondence between hydrodynamic transport coefficients, and the universal absorption cross sections of the generalized black branes, is extended to fermionic sectors, including supersound diffusion constants. A free parameter, in the generalized black brane solution, is shown to control the flipping between regular and singular fermionic solutions of the equations of motion for the gravitino.
