Simple finite-dimensional double algebras

A double algebra is a linear space $V$ equipped with linear map $V\otimes V\to V\otimes V$. Additional conditions on this map lead to the notions of Lie and associative double algebras. We prove that simple finite-dimensional Lie double algebras do not exist over an arbitrary field, and all simple finite-dimensional associative double algebras over an algebraically closed field are trivial. Over an arbitrary field, every simple finite-dimensional associative double algebra is commutative. A double algebra structure on a finite-dimensional space $V$ is naturally described by a linear operator $R$ on the algebra $\End V$ of linear transformations of~$V$. Double Lie algebras correspond in this sense to skew-symmetric Rota---Baxter operators, double associative algebra structures---to (left) averaging operators.

On special identities for dialgebras

For every variety of algebras over a field, there is a natural definition of a corresponding variety of dialgebras (Loday-type algebras). In particular, Lie dialgebras are equivalent to Leibniz algebras. We use an approach based on the notion of an operad to study the problem of finding special identities for dialgebras. It is proved that all polylinear special identities for dialgebras can be obtained from special identities for corresponding algebras by means of a simple procedure. A particular case of this result confirms the conjecture by M. Bremner, R. Felipe, and J. Sanchez-Ortega, arXiv:1108.0586.

On embedding of dendriform algebras into Rota---Baxter algebras

Following a recent work by C. Bai, O. Bellier, L. Guo, and X. Ni (arXiv:1106.6080) we define what is a dendriform di- or trialgebra in an arbitrary variety Var of algebras (associative, commutative, Poisson, etc.). We prove that every dendriform dialgebra in Var can be embedded into a Rota---Baxter algebra of weight zero in the same variety, and every dendriform trialgebra can be embedded into a Rota---Baxter algebra of nonzero weight.

The Tits--Kantor--Koecher construction for Jordan dialgebras

We study a noncommutative generalization of Jordan algebras called Jordan dialgebras. These are algebras that satisfy the identities $[x_1 x_2]x_3= 0$, $(x_1^2,x_2,x_3)=2(x_1,x_2,x_1x_3)$, $x_1(x_1^2 x_2)=x_1^2(x_1 x_2)$; they are related with Jordan algebras in the same way as Leibniz algebras are related to Lie algebras. We present an analogue of the Tits---Kantor---Koecher construction for Jordan dialgebras that provides an embedding of such an algebra into Leibniz algebra.
