Anti M-Weierstrass function sequences

Large algebraic structures are found inside the space of sequences of continuous functions on a compact interval having the property that, the series defined by each sequence converges absolutely and uniformly on the interval but the series of the upper bounds diverges. So showing that there exist many examples satisfying the conclusion but not the hypothesis of the Weierstrass M-test.

Lineability and modes of convergence

In this paper we look for the existence of large linear and algebraic structures of sequences of measurable functions with different modes of convergence. Concretely, the algebraic size of the family of sequences that are convergent in measure but not a.e.~pointwise, uniformly but not pointwise convergent, and uniformly convergent but not in $L^1$-norm, are analyzed. These findings extend and complement a number of earlier results by several authors.

Algebraic structure of continuous, unbounded and integrable functions

In this paper we study the large linear and algebraic size of the family of unbounded continuous and integrable functions in $[0,+\infty)$ and of the family of sequences of these functions converging to zero uniformly on compacta and in $L^1$-norm. In addition, we concentrate on the speed at which these functions grow, their smoothness and the strength of their convergence to zero.
