Gaussian solutions to the Yang--Baxter equation and their twists

In this paper, we consider two explicit Gaussian solutions to the constant (or parameter-independent) quantum Yang--Baxter equation and produce the corresponding bialgebras using the Faddeev--Reshetikhin--Takhtajan construction (FRT). Additionally, we twist these two Gaussian solutions, via Zhang twists and corresponding 2-cocycle twists, to obtain solutions to the Yang--Baxter equation which are not necessarily Gaussian.

Quantum-symmetric equivalence for superpotential algebras

We study superpotential algebras by introducing the notion of quantum-symmetric equivalence defined relatively to two fixed Hopf coactions. This concept relies on the non-vanishing of a bi-Galois object for the two coacting Hopf algebras, where the cotensor product with this object provides a Morita--Takeuchi equivalence between their comodule categories, mapping one superpotenial algebra to the other as comodule algebras. In particular, we investigate $\mathcal{GL}$-type and $\mathcal{SL}$-type quantum-symmetric equivalences using Bichon's reformation of bi-Galois objects in the language of cogroupoids constructed by nondegenerate twisted superpotentials. As applications, for the $\mathcal{GL}$-type, we characterize the Artin--Schelter regularity, or equivalently, twisted Calabi--Yau property, of a superpotential algebra as the non-vanishing of the bi-Galois object in the associated cogroupoid. For the $\mathcal{SL}$-type, we apply the pivotal structure of the comodule categories to study numerical invariants for $\mathcal{SL}$ quantum-symmetric equivalence, including the quantum Hilbert series of the superpotential algebras.

Quantum-symmetric equivalence is a graded Morita invariant

We show that if two $m$-homogeneous algebras have Morita equivalent graded module categories, then they are quantum-symmetrically equivalent, that is, there is a monoidal equivalence between the categories of comodules for their associated universal quantum groups (in the sense of Manin) which sends one algebra to the other. As a consequence, any Zhang twist of an $m$-homogeneous algebra is a 2-cocycle twist by some 2-cocycle from its Manin's universal quantum group.

Twisting Manin's universal quantum groups and comodule algebras

We introduce the notion of quantum-symmetric equivalence of two connected graded algebras, based on Morita-Takeuchi equivalences of their universal quantum groups, in the sense of Manin. We study homological and algebraic invariants of quantum-symmetric equivalence classes, and prove that numerical $\mathrm{Tor}$-regularity, Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, Artin-Schelter regularity, and the Frobenius property are invariant under any Morita-Takeuchi equivalence. In particular, by combining our results with the work of Raedschelders and Van den Bergh, we prove that Koszul Artin-Schelter regular algebras of a fixed global dimension form a single quantum-symmetric equivalence class. Moreover, we characterize 2-cocycle twists (which arise as a special case of quantum-symmetric equivalence) of Koszul duals, of superpotentials, of superpotential algebras, of Nakayama automorphisms of twisted Frobenius algebras, and of Artin-Schelter regular algebras. We also show that finite generation of Hochschild cohomology rings is preserved under certain 2-cocycle twists.

A Primer on Twists in the Noncommutative Realm Focusing on Algebra, Representation Theory, and Geometry

We review several techniques that twist an algebra's multiplicative structure. We first consider twists by an automorphism, also known as Zhang twists, and we relate them to 2-cocycle twists of certain bialgebras. We then outline the classification and properties of twisted tensor products, and we examine twisted Segre products. Our exposition emphasizes clarity over generality, providing a wealth of interconnecting examples.

A cogroupoid associated to preregular forms

We construct a family of cogroupoids associated to preregular forms and recover the Morita-Takeuchi equivalence for Artin-Schelter regular algebras of dimension two, observed by Raedschelders and Van den Bergh. Moreover, we study the 2-cocycle twists of pivotal analogues of these cogroupoids, by developing a categorical description of preregularity in any tensor category that has a pivotal structure.

Twisting of graded quantum groups and solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation

Let $H$ be a Hopf algebra that is $\mathbb Z$-graded as an algebra. We provide sufficient conditions for a 2-cocycle twist of $H$ to be a Zhang twist of $H$. In particular, we introduce the notion of a twisting pair for $H$ such that the Zhang twist of $H$ by such a pair is a 2-cocycle twist. We use twisting pairs to describe twists of Manin's universal quantum groups associated to quadratic algebras and provide twisting of solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation via the Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtajan construction.

Reflection Groups and Rigidity of Quadratic Poisson Algebras

In this paper, we study the invariant theory of quadratic Poisson algebras. Let G be a finite group of the graded Poisson automorphisms of a quadratic Poisson algebra A. When the Poisson bracket of A is skew-symmetric, a Poisson version of the Shephard-Todd-Chevalley theorem is proved stating that the fixed Poisson subring A^G is skew-symmetric if and only if G is generated by reflections. For many other well-known families of quadratic Poisson algebras, we show that G contains limited or even no reflections. This kind of Poisson rigidity result ensures that the corresponding fixed Poisson subring A^G is not isomorphic to A as Poisson algebras unless G is trivial.

Associating Geometry to the Lie Superalgebra $\mathfrak{sl}(1|1)$ and to the Color Lie Algebra $\mathfrak{sl}^c_2(\Bbbk)$

In the 1990s, in work of Le Bruyn and Smith and in work of Le Bruyn and Van den Bergh, it was proved that point modules and line modules over the homogenization of the universal enveloping algebra of a finite-dimensional Lie algebra describe useful data associated to the Lie algebra. In particular, in the case of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2(\mathbb{C})$, there is a correspondence between Verma modules and certain line modules that associates a pair $(\mathfrak{h},\,ϕ)$, where $\mathfrak{h}$ is a two-dimensional Lie subalgebra of $\mathfrak{sl}_2(\mathbb{C})$ and $ϕ\in \mathfrak{h}^*$ satisfies $ϕ([\mathfrak{h}, \, \mathfrak{h}]) = 0$, to a particular type of line module. In this article, we prove analogous results for the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{sl}(1|1)$ and for a color Lie algebra associated to the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2$.

Generalizing the notion of rank to noncommutative quadratic forms

In 2010, Cassidy and Vancliff extended the notion of a quadratic form on n generators to the noncommutative setting. In this article, we suggest a notion of rank for such noncommutative quadratic forms, where n = 2 or 3. Since writing an arbitrary quadratic form as a sum of squares fails in this context, our methods entail rewriting an arbitrary quadratic form as a sum of products. In so doing, we find analogs for 2 x 2 minors and determinant of a 3 x 3 matrix in this noncommutative setting.

Point modules over regular graded skew Clifford algebras

Results of Vancliff, Van Rompay and Willaert in 1998 prove that point modules over a regular graded Clifford algebra (GCA) are determined by (commutative) quadrics of rank at most two that belong to the quadric system associated to the GCA. In 2010, Cassidy and Vancliff generalized the notion of a GCA to that of a graded skew Clifford algebra (GSCA). The results in this article show that prior results may be extended, with suitable modification, to GSCAs. In particular, using the notion of μ-rank introduced recently by the authors, the point modules over a regular GSCA are determined by (noncommutative) quadrics of μ-rank at most two that belong to the noncommutative quadric system associated to the GSCA.

Graded Clifford Algebras and Graded Skew Clifford Algebras and Their Role in the Classification of Artin-Schelter Regular Algebras

This paper is a survey of work done on $\mathbb{N}$-graded Clifford algebras (GCAs) and $\mathbb{N}$-graded \textit{skew} Clifford algebras (GSCAs) \cite{VVW, SV, CaV, NVZ, VVe1, VVe2}. In particular, we discuss the hypotheses necessary for these algebras to be Artin Schelter-regular \cite{AS, ATV1} and show how certain `points' called, point modules, can be associated to them. We may view an AS-regular algebra as a noncommutative analog of the polynomial ring. We begin our survey with a fundamental result in \cite{VVW} that is essential to subsequent results discussed here: the connection between point modules and rank-two quadrics. Using, in part, this connection the authors in \cite{SV} provide a method to construct GCAs with finitely many distinct isomorphism classes of point modules. In \cite{CaV}, Cassidy and Vancliff introduce a quantized analog of a GCA, called a graded \textit{skew} Clifford algebra and Nafari et al. \cite{NVZ} show that most Artin Schelter-regular algebras of global dimension three are either twists of graded skew Clifford algebras of global dimension three or Ore extensions of graded Clifford algebras of global dimension two. Vancliff et al. \cite{VVe1, VVe2} go a step further and generalize the result of \cite{VVW}, between point modules and rank-two quadrics, by showing that point modules over GSCAs are determined by (noncommutative) quadrics of $μ$-rank at most two.
