Quantum Port: Gamification of quantum teleportation for public engagement

Concepts on quantum physics are generally difficult for the general public to understand and grasp due to its counter-intuitive nature and requirement for higher level of mathematical literacy. With categorical quantum mechanics (CQM), quantum theory is re-formalized into a more intuitive diagrammatic approach, which we will refer to as the first level of transformation, to improve the accessibility and readability of quantum theory to a broader audience since the mathematical details are embedded into diagrammatic rules. Taking inspiration from this diagrammatic approach, we propose the second level of transformation by gamifying the diagrammatic rules of quantum teleportation into a quantum card game called Quantum Port. In this work, we discuss the gamification of quantum teleportation and provide a moderator guideline to use Quantum Port as a public engagement or learning module.

Quantum Diplomacy within the Southeast Asia Quantum Ecosystem

Amid the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025 (IYQ 2025), a significant portion of global funding has been dedicated to various quantum initiatives, with over 30 countries announcing their respective quantum strategies. Within the Southeast Asia context, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines have launched their respective quantum strategies and roadmaps. Meanwhile, six out of eleven Southeast Asia countries have expressed interest in formulating a regional quantum ecosystem to pursue a set of common goals. Quantum technologies, though still in their infancy within the second quantum revolution, have advanced rapidly in recent years. Due to their dual-use nature, quantum technologies are considered emerging and disruptive, often raising concerns from the cybersecurity perspective. While several discussions regarding Malaysia's quantum initiative and strategy are ongoing, it is vital to broaden the conversation and position Malaysia within the regional ecosystem. This paper provides an overview of Malaysia's quantum landscape and a summary of the regional initiatives since the establishment of Southeast Asia Quantum Network. We then analyse Malaysia's strengths in quantum research and provide four recommendations to strengthen the regional ecosystem.

Special core tensors of multi-qubit states and the concurrency of three lines

Classification of multipartite states aims to obtain a set of operationally useful and finite entanglement classes under the action of either local unitary (LU) or stochastic local operation and classical communication (SLOCC). In this work, we propose a computationally simple approach to find these classes by using higher order singular value decomposition (HOSVD) and the concurrency of three lines. Since HOSVD simultaneously diagonalizes the one-body reduced density matrices (RDM) of multipartite states, the core tensor of multipartite states is the pure-state representation of such simultaneously diagonalized one-body RDM. We identified the special core tensors of three and four qubits, which are also genuinely entangled by default. The special core tensors are further categorized into families of states based on their first $n$-mode singular values, $σ_1^{(i)2}$. The current proposal is limited to multi-qubit system, but it scales well with large multi-qubit systems and produces a finite number of families of states.
