On derivations of subalgebras of real semisimple Lie algebras

Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a real semisimple Lie algebra with Iwasawa decomposition $\mathfrak{k} \oplus \mathfrak{a} \oplus \mathfrak{n}$. We show that, except for some explicit exceptional cases, every derivation of the nilpotent subalgebra $\mathfrak{n}$ that preserves its restricted root space decomposition is of the form $\text{ad}( W)$, where $W \in \mathfrak{m}\oplus .

Hardy and uncertainty inequalities on stratified Lie groups

We prove various Hardy-type and uncertainty inequalities on a stratified Lie group $G$. In particular, we show that the operators $T_α: f \mapsto |.|^{-α} L^{-α/2} f$, where $|.|$ is a homogeneous norm, $0 < α< Q/p$, and $L$ is the sub-Laplacian, are bounded on the Lebesgue space $L^p(G)$. As consequences, we estimate the norms of these operators sufficiently precisely to be able to differentiate and prove a logarithmic uncertainty inequality. We also deduce a general version of the Heisenberg-Pauli-Weyl inequality, relating the $L^p$ norm of a function $f$ to the $L^q$ norm of $|.|^βf$ and the $L^r$ norm of $L^{δ/2} f$.

Product kernels adapted to curves in the space

We establish $L^p$-boundedness for a class of operators that are given by convolution with product kernels adapted to curves in the space. The $L^p$ bounds follow from the decomposition of the adapted kernel into a sum of two kernels with sigularities concentrated respectively on a coordinate plane and along the curve. The proof of the $L^p$-estimates for the two corresponding operators involves Fourier analysis techniques and some algebraic tools, namely the Bernstein-Sato polynomials.

Trasferring $L^p$ eigenfunction bounds from $S^{2n+1}$ to $h^n$

By using the notion of contraction of Lie groups, we transfer $L^p-L^2$ estimates for joint spectral projectors from the unit complex sphere $\sfera$ in ${\mathbb{C}}^{n+1}$ to the reduced Heisenberg group $h^{n}$. In particular, we deduce some estimates recently obtained by H. Koch and F. Ricci on $h^n$. As a consequence, we prove, in the spirit of Sogge's work, a discrete restriction theorem for the sub-Laplacian $L$ on $h^n$.
