New Model of Inflation that Predicts Natural Fermion Re-heating and a Dark-Energy energy-fraction of 75%

We study a model cosmological solution of the coupled Einstein, electromagnetic (with source) and second-gravity \cite{Nash2010} equations that employs a flat universe Friedmann-\text{Lema{\^ ı}tre}-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) line element with scale factor $a = a(t)$ [comoving coordinates] for the Einstein sector. The solution of the coupled field equations yields a scale factor $a(t)$ that initially varies exponentially $a(t) = a(0) {e}^{H t}$. Exponential growth continues until the comoving time approaches the end of inflation, then $a(t)$ rapidly transitions to a power law dependence on $t$. Concomitant with the transition from inflation in this model is a natural re-heating and excitation of Standard Model degrees of freedom, and in particular of electrically charged quarks and leptons. No scalar inflaton field, or slow-roll potential is introduced to achieve these effects. This model is noteworthy in two respects. A plausible connection between the second-gravity \emph{unit} field $\mathbf{u}$ and Dark Energy, through the generalization of the photon wave function, is demonstrated, and a scenario is outlined that allocates a 75% fraction of the total energy of the Universe to Dark Energy. Secondly, we conjecture that an experimentally detectable substructure of the of the photon can be observed if the (quantized) unit field can be excited out of its ground state.

Extra-Dimensional Bi-Inflation

We study a solution to the Einstein field equations on an eight-dimensional pseudo-Riemannian manifold (a spacetime of four space dimensions and four time dimensions) that exhibits inflation of three of the four space dimensions and deflation of three of the four time dimensions. Hubble parameters $(\mathbb{H}_4, \mathbb{H}_8)$ exist for each of the unscaled dimensions $(\textrm{time}x^4, \textrm{space}x^8)$. The scale factor for the three ordinary space dimensions $(x^1, x^2, x^3)$ is $a = a(x^4, x^8)$, and during inflation is functionally a product of exponentials $a = e^{\mathbb{H}_4\, x^4\,/\,c} \; e^{\mathbb{H}_8\, x^8\,/\,c}$ of each Hubble parameter times its respective unscaled coordinate ($c$ is the physical speed of gravitational waves in vacuum in the observed universe). We investigate the conjecture that every particle/field in our universe is carried along the $x^8$-axis in the same way that it is carried along the $x^4$-axis, that is, in a manner that is independent of its energy, and with no freedom to change either its rate of passage along the $x^8$-axis or its location within the $x^8$-dimension. The evolution of the particle/field through the unscaled dimensions $(x^4, x^8) \in \mathbb{R}^{1,1}$ in our universe is entrapped and entrained by geometry. We employ a line element of the form $ {ds}^2 = -|g_{4\,4}| \; {(c_4 \, d x^4)}^2 + g_{8\,8} \; {(d x^8)}^2 \;+\;...$ to define a physical time $t = x^0$ through the relation % $ |g_{t\,t}| \; {(c \, d t)}^2 = |g_{4\,4}| \; {(c_4 \, d x^4)}^2 - g_{8\,8} \; {(d x^8)}^2 $. Here $c_4$ is a speed related parameter (in this paper $g_{t\,t} = g_{4\,4} = -1 $). This model offers new insight into physical time.

Hyperbolic Inflation

A mathematically interesting hyperbolic solution to the Einstein field equations is studied on an eight-dimensional pseudo-Riemannian manifold $\mathbb{X}_{4,4}$ that is a spacetime of four space dimensions and four time dimensions. [The signature and dimension of $\mathbb{X}_{4,4}$ are chosen because its tangent spaces satisfy a triality principle \cite{Nash2010} (vectors and spinors are equivalent).] This solution exhibits temporal hyperbolic inflation of three of the four space dimensions and temporal hyperbolic \textbf{deflation} of three of the four time dimensions. Comoving coordinates for the \textbf{unscaled} dimensions are chosen to be $(x^4 \leftrightarrow \textrm{time}, x^8 \leftrightarrow \textrm{space})$, where the $x^4$ coordinate corresponds to our universe's observed physical time dimension and the $x^8$ coordinate corresponds to a predicted new physical spatial dimension. This solution of the field equations manifests temporal hyperbolic inflation $\cosh{({1}{3}\,H\,x^4)}$ of the scale factor associated with three of the four space dimensions, and temporal deflation $\textrm{sech}({{{1}{3}\,H\,x^4}})$ of the scale factor associated with three of the four time dimensions. (Here $H$ is the Hubble parameter.) The scale factors possess a more complicated dependence on the spatial $x^8$ coordinate, which, however, turn out to be \textbf{periodic} in $x^8$ with period $\propto 1 / H$. \textbf{After "inflation" the observed physical macroscopic world has three space dimensions and one time dimension.}
