(p,q)-Equations with singular and concave convex nonlinearities

We consider a nonlinear Dirichlet problem driven by the $(p,q)$-Laplacian with $1<q<p$. The reaction is parametric and exhibits the competing effects of a singular term and of concave and convex nonlinearities. We are looking for positive solutions and prove a bifurcation-type theorem describing in a precise way the set of positive solutions as the parameter varies. Moreover, we show the existence of a minimal positive solution and we study it as a function of the parameter.

Existence and uniqueness of elliptic systems with double phase operators and convection terms

In this paper we study quasilinear elliptic systems driven by so-called double phase operators and nonlinear right-hand sides depending on the gradients of the solutions. Based on the surjectivity result for pseudomonotone operators we prove the existence of at least one weak solution of such systems. Furthermore, under some additional conditions on the data, the uniqueness of weak solutions is shown.

Robin fractional problems with symmetric variable growth

In this paper we study the fractional p(., .)-Laplacian and we introduce the corresponding nonlocal conormal derivative for this operator. We prove basic properties of the corresponding function space and we establish a nonlocal version of the divergence theorem for such operators. In the second part of this paper, we prove the existence of weak solutions of corresponding p(., .)-Robin boundary problems with sign-changing potentials by applying variational tools.

$L^\infty$-bounds for general singular elliptic equations with convection term

In this note we present $L^\infty$-results for problems of the form $A(x,u,Du)=B(x,u,Du)$ in $Ω$, $u>0$ in $Ω$, $u=0$ on $\partialΩ$, where the growth condition for the function $B\colon Ω\times \mathbb{R}\times \mathbb{R}^N\to \mathbb{R}$ contains both a singular and a convection term. We use ideas from the works of Giacomoni-Schindler-Takac (2007) and the authors (2019) to prove the boundedness of weak solutions for such general problem by applying appropriate bootstrap arguments.

Constant sign solutions for double phase problems with superlinear nonlinearity

We study parametric double phase problems involving superlinear nonlinearities with a growth that need not necessarily be polynomial. Based on truncation and comparison methods the existence of two constant sign solutions is shown provided the parameter is larger than the first eigenvalue of the $p$-Laplacian. As a result of independent interest we prove a priori estimates for solutions for a general class of double phase problems with convection term.

Existence and uniqueness results for double phase problems with convection term

In this paper we consider quasilinear elliptic equations with double phase phenomena and a reaction term depending on the gradient. Under quite general assumptions on the convection term we prove the existence of a weak solution by applying the theory of pseudomonotone operators. Imposing some linear conditions on the gradient variable the uniqueness of the solution is obtained.

Global a priori bounds for weak solutions of quasilinear elliptic systems with nonlinear boundary condition

In this paper we study quasilinear elliptic systems with nonlinear boundary condition with fully coupled perturbations even on the boundary. Under very general assumptions our main result says that each weak solution of such systems belongs to $L^\infty(\close)\times L^\infty(\close)$. The proof is based on Moser's iteration scheme. The results presented here can also be applied to elliptic systems with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition.

Moser iteration applied to elliptic equations with critical growth on the boundary

This paper deals with boundedness results for weak solutions of an elliptic equation where the functions are Carathéodory functions satisfying certain $p$-structure conditions that have critical growth even on the boundary. Based on a modified version of the Moser iteration we are able to prove that every weak solution of our problem is bounded up to the boundary. Under some additional assumptions this leads directly to $C^{1,α}$-regularity for weak solutions of the problem.

Bounded Solutions to nonlinear problems involving the fractional laplacian depending on parameters

The main goal of this paper is the study of two kinds of nonlinear problems depending on parameters in unbounded domains. Using a nonstandard variational approach, we first prove the existence of bounded solutions for nonlinear eigenvalue problems involving the fractional Laplace operator and nonlinearities that have subcritical growth. In the second part, based on a variational principle of Ricceri [16], we study a fractional nonlinear problem with two parameters and prove the existence of multiple solutions.

Global a priori bounds for weak solutions to quasilinear parabolic equations with nonstandard growth

In this paper we study a rather wide class of quasilinear parabolic problems with nonlinear boundary condition and nonstandard growth terms. It includes the important case of equations with a $p(t,x)$-Laplacian. By means of the localization method and De Giorgi's iteration technique we derive global a priori bounds for weak solutions of such problems. Our results seem to be new even in the constant exponent case.

Nonlinear nonhomogeneous Dirichlet equations with a superlinear reaction

We consider a nonlinear elliptic Dirichlet equation driven by a nonlinear nonhomogeneous differential operator involving a Carathéodory reaction which is $(p-1)$-superlinear but does not satisfy the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition. First we prove a three-solutions-theorem extending an earlier classical result of Wang (Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linéaire 8 (1991), no. 1, 43--57). Subsequently, by imposing additional conditions on the reaction $f(x,\cdot)$, we produce two more nontrivial constant sign solutions and a nodal solution for a total of five nontrivial solutions. In the special case of $(p,2)$-equations we prove the existence of a second nodal solution for a total of six nontrivial solutions given with complete sign information. Finally, we study a nonlinear eigenvalue problem and we show that the problem has at least two nontrivial positive solutions for all parameters $λ>0$ sufficiently small where one solution vanishes in the Sobolev norm as $λ\to 0^+$ and the other one blows up (again in the Sobolev norm) as $λ\to 0^+$.
