The global Gan--Gross--Prasad conjecture for Fourier--Jacobi periods on unitary groups I: Coarse expansions of the relative trace formulae

This is the first of a series of three papers where we prove the Gan--Gross--Prasad conjecture for Fourier--Jacobi periods on unitary groups and an Ichino--Ikeda type refinement. Our strategy is based on the comparison of relative trace formulae formulated by Liu. The goal of this first paper is to introduce the relative trace formulae and establish the coarse expansions.

The global Gan--Gross--Prasad conjecture for Fourier--Jacobi periods on unitary groups III: Proof of the main theorems

This is the third and the last of a series of three papers where we prove the Gan--Gross--Prasad conjecture for Fourier--Jacobi periods on unitary groups and an Ichino--Ikeda type refinement. Our strategy is based on the comparison of relative trace formulae formulated by Liu. In this paper, we compute the spectral expansions of these formulae and end the proof of the conjectures via a reduction to the corank zero case.

The fine spectral expansion of the Rankin-Selberg period

We state and prove the spectral expansion of the theta series attached to the Rankin-Selberg spherical variety $(\mathrm{GL}_{n+1} \times \mathrm{GL}_n)/\mathrm{GL}_n$. This is a key result towards the fine spectral expansion of the Jacquet-Rallis trace formula. Our expansion is written in terms of regularized Rankin--Selberg periods for non-tempered automorphic representations, which we show compute special values of $L$-functions. The proof relies on shifts of contours of integration à la Langlands. We also establish two technical but crucial results on bounds and singularities for discrete Eisenstein series of $\mathrm{GL}_n$ in the positive Weyl chamber.

Residues of Rankin-Selberg Zeta integrals and the split non-tempered Gan-Gross-Prasad conjectures

We construct a regularization of the Rankin-Selberg period on general linear groups for non-tempered automorphic representations using residues of Zeta integrals. We prove that it satisfies the global non-tempered Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture and its Ichino-Ikeda refinement. We also build a local version of our regularization and show that it defines a non-zero invariant linear form on non-tempered representations. Combined with previous works of Chan, Chen and Chen, this settles the conjectures over local fields of characteristic zero.

Whittaker-Shintani functions for Fourier-Jacobi models on unitary groups

We state and prove a formula for the Whittaker-Shintani functions associated to Fourier-Jacobi models for p-adic unitary groups and general linear groups. These generalized spherical functions play a fundamental role in the proof of the Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture for Fourier-Jacobi models. As an application we prove the unramified Ichino-Ikeda conjecture.
