Exploring the Higgs Sector of a Most Natural NMSSM and its Prediction on Higgs Pair Production at the LHC

As a most natural realization of the Next-to Minimal Supersymmetry Standard Model (NMSSM), λ-SUSY is parameterized by a large λ around one and a low tan$β$ below 10. In this work, we first scan the parameter space of λ-SUSY by considering various experimental constraints, including the limitation from the Higgs data updated by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations in the summer of 2014, then we study the properties of the Higgs bosons. We get two characteristic features of λ-SUSY in experimentally allowed parameter space. One is the triple self coupling of the SM-like Higgs boson may get enhanced by a factor over 10 in comparison with its SM prediction. The other is the pair production of the SM-like Higgs boson at the LHC may be two orders larger than its SM prediction. All these features seems to be unachievable in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model and in the NMSSM with a low λ. Moreover, we also find that naturalness plays an important role in selecting the parameter space of λ-SUSY, and that the Higgs $χ^2$ obtained with the latest data is usually significantly smaller than before due to the more consistency of the two collaboration measurements.

Higgs-strahlung production process e^+ e^- \to Z h at the future Higgs factory in the Minimal Dilaton Model

We investigate the Higgs-strahlung production process e^+ e^- \to Z h at the future Higgs factory such as TLEP by including radiative corrections in the Minimal Dilaton Model (MDM), which extends the SM by one singlet scalar called dilaton. We consider various theoretical and experimental constraints on the model, and perform fits to the Higgs data taken from ATLAS, CMS and CDF+D0. Then for the 1σsurviving samples, we calculate the MDM predictions on the inclusive production rate σ(e^+e^-\to Zh) at the 240-GeV Higgs factory, and also the signal rates of e^+e^-\to Zh with the Higgs boson decaying to b\bar b and γγ. We have following observations: (1) In the heavy dilaton scenario, the deviation of σ(e^+e^-\to Zh) from its SM prediction can vary from -15\% to 85\%, which mainly arises from the modification of the tree-level hZZ coupling and also the radiative correction induced by possibly large Higgs self-couplings. (2) The processes e^+e^-\to Zh at the Higgs factory and pp\to hh at 14-TeV LHC are complementary in limiting the MDM parameter space. Requiring the deviation of σ(e^+e^-\to Zh) from its SM prediction to be less than 1\% and that of σ(p p \to h h) to be less than 50\%, \tan θ_S in the MDM will be limited to be -0.1<\tanθ_S<0.3, and the deviations of the signal rates are constrained to be |R_{b\bar b}|<2\% and |R_{γγ}|<7\%. Especially, the Higgs self-coupling normalized to its SM prediction is now upper bounded by about 4. (3) In the light dilaton scenario, the deviation of σ(e^+e^-\to Zh) may reach -7\%, and requiring its size to be less than 1\% will result in 0<\tanθ_S<0.1, and -10\% < R_{b\bar b}, R_{γγ} < 1\%.

New Insights of Electroweak Phase Transition in NMSSM

We perform a detailed semi-analytical analysis of the electroweak phase transition (EWPT) property in NMSSM, which serves as a good benchmark model in which the 126 GeV Higgs mixes with a singlet. In this case, a strongly first order electroweak phase transition (SFOEWPT) is achieved by the tree-level effects and the phase transition strength $γ_c$ is determined by the vacua energy gap at $T=0$. We make an anatomy of the energy gap at both tree-level and loop-level and extract out a dimensionless phase transition parameter $R_κ\equiv 4 κv_s / A_κ$, which can replace $A_κ$ in the parameterization and affect the light CP odd and even Higgs spectra. We find that SFOEWPT only occurs in $R_κ\sim -1$ and positive $R_κ\lesssim \mathcal{O}(10)$, which in the non-PQ limit case would prefer either a relatively light CP odd or CP even Higgs boson $\sim (60, 100)$ GeV, therefore serves as a smoking gun signal and requires new search strategies at the LHC.

A light SUSY dark matter after CDMS-II, LUX and LHC Higgs data

In SUSY, a light dark matter is usually accompanied by light scalars to achieve the correct relic density, which opens new decay channels of the SM like Higgs boson. Under current experimental constraints including the latest LHC Higgs data and the dark matter relic density, we examine the status of a light neutralino dark matter in the framework of NMSSM and confront it with the direct detection results of CoGeNT, CDMS-II and LUX. We have the following observations: (i) A dark matter as light as 8 GeV is still allowed and its scattering cross section off the nucleon can be large enough to explain the CoGeNT/CDMS-II favored region; (ii) The LUX data can exclude a sizable part of the allowed parameter space, but still leaves a light dark matter viable; (iii) The SM-like Higgs boson can decay into the light dark matter pair with an invisible branching ratio reaching 30% under the current LHC Higgs data, which may be tested at the 14 TeV LHC experiment.

Full one-loop electroweak corrections to $e^+e^- \to ZHγ$ at a Higgs factory

Motivated by the future precision test of the Higgs boson at an $e^+e^-$ Higgs factory, we calculate the production $e^+e^- \to ZHγ$ in the Standard Model with complete next-to-leading order electroweak corrections. We find that for $\sqrt{s}=240$ (350) GeV the cross section of this production is sizably reduced by the electroweak corrections, which is $1.03$ (5.32) fb at leading order and 0.72 (4.79) fb at next-to-leading order. The transverse momentum distribution of the photon in the final states is also presented.

Higgs pair production with SUSY QCD correction: revisited under current experimental constraints

We consider the current experimental constraints on the parameter space of the MSSM and NMSSM. Then in the allowed parameter space we examine the Higgs pair production at the 14 TeV LHC via $b\bar{b}\to hh$ ($h$ is the 125 GeV SM-like Higg boson) with one-loop SUSY QCD correction and compare it with the production via $gg\to hh$. We obtain the following observations: (i) For the MSSM the production rate of $b\bar{b} \to hh$ can reach 50 fb and thus can be competitive with $gg \to hh$, while for the NMSSM $b\bar{b} \to hh$ has a much smaller rate than $gg \to hh$ due to the suppression of the $hb\bar{b}$ coupling; (ii) The SUSY-QCD correction to $b\bar{b} \to hh$ is sizable, which can reach $45\%$ for the MSSM and $15\%$ for the NMSSM within the $1σ$ region of the Higgs data; (iii) In the heavy SUSY limit (all soft mass parameters become heavy), the SUSY effects decouple rather slowly from the Higgs pair production (especially the $gg\to hh$ process), which, for $M_{\rm SUSY}=5$ TeV and $m_A<1$ TeV, can enhance the production rate by a factor of 1.5 and 1.3 for the MSSM and NMSSM, respectively. So, the Higgs pair production may be helpful for unraveling the effects of heavy SUSY.

Higgs Phenomenology in the Minimal Dilaton Model after Run I of the LHC

The Minimal Dilaton Model (MDM) extends the Standard Model (SM) by a singlet scalar, which can be viewed as a linear realization of general dilaton field. This new scalar field mixes with the SM Higgs field to form two mass eigenstates with one of them corresponding to the 125 GeV SM-like Higgs boson reported by the LHC experiments. In this work, under various theoretical and experimental constrains, we perform fits to the latest Higgs data and then investigate the phenomenology of Higgs boson in both the heavy dilaton scenario and the light dilaton scenario of the MDM. We find that: (i) If one considers the ATLAS and CMS data separately, the MDM can explain each of them well, but refer to different parameter space due to the apparent difference in the two sets of data. If one considers the combined data of the LHC and Tevatron, however, the explanation given by the MDM is not much better than the SM, and the dilaton component in the 125-GeV Higgs is less than about 20% at 2 sigma level. (ii) The current Higgs data have stronger constrains on the light dilaton scenario than on the heavy dilaton scenario. (iii) The heavy dilaton scenario can produce a Higgs triple self coupling much larger than the SM value, and thus a significantly enhanced Higgs pair cross section at hadron colliders. With a luminosity of 100 fb^{-1} (10 fb^{-1}) at the 14-TeV LHC, a heavy dilaton of 400 GeV (500 GeV) can be examined. (iv) In the light dilaton scenario, the Higgs exotic branching ratio can reach 43% (60%) at 2 sigma (3 sigma) level when considering only the CMS data, which may be detected at the 14-TeV LHC with a luminosity of 300 fb^{-1} and the Higgs Factory.

The Z+photon and diphoton decays of the Higgs boson as a joint probe of low energy SUSY models at LHC

In light of recent remarkable progress in Higgs search at the LHC, we study the rare decay process $h \to Zγ$ and show its correlation with the decay $h \to γγ$ in low energy SUSY models such as CMSSM, MSSM, NMSSM and nMSSM. Under various experimental constraints, we scan the parameter space of each model, and present in the allowed parameter space the SUSY predictions on the $Zγ$ and $γγ$ signal rates in the Higgs production at the LHC and future e+e- linear colliders. We have following observations: (i) Compared with the SM prediction, the $Zγ$ and $γγ$ signal rates in the CMSSM are both slightly suppressed; (ii) In the MSSM, both the $Zγ$ and $γγ$ rates can be either enhanced or suppressed, and in optimal case, the enhancement factors can reach 1.2 and 2 respectively; (iii) In the NMSSM, the $Zγ$ and $γγ$ signal rates normalized by their SM predictions are strongly correlated, and vary from 0.2 to 2; (iv) In the nMSSM, the $Zγ$ and $γγ$ rates are greatly reduced. Since the correlation behavior between the Zγsignal and the γγsignal is so model-dependent, it may be used to distinguish the models in future experiments.
