Transverse force on a moving vortex with the acoustic geometry

We consider the transverse force on a moving vortex with the acoustic metric using the $ϕ$-mapping topological current theory. In the frame of effective spacetime geometry the vortex appear naturally by virtue of the vortex tensor in the Lorentz spacetime and we show that it is just the vortex derived with the order parameter in the condensed matter. With the usual Lagrangian we obtain the equation of motion for the vortex. At last, we show that the transverse force on the moving vortex in our equation is just the usual Magnus force in a simple model.

Topological Excitation in an Antiferromagnetic Bose-Einstein Condensate

Two kinds of topological excitations, skyrmions and monopoles, are studied. It is revealed that these two types of excitations originate from different order parameter fields that reflect different spatial distributions of the Neel vector. Critical phenomena of the generation and annihilation of skyrmion-antiskyrmion pairs are also discussed.

Inner structure of Gauss-Bonnet-Chern Theorem and the Morse theory

We define a new one form H^A based on the second fundamental tensor H^abA, the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern form can be novelly expressed with this one-form. Using the phi-mapping theory we find that the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern density can be expressed in terms of the delta-function and the relationship between the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern theorem and Hopf-Poincare theorem is given straightforwardly. The topological current of the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern theorem and its topological structure are discussed in details. At last, the Morse theory formula of the Euler characteristic is generalized.

Decomposing the SU(N) Connection and the Wu-Yang Potential

Based on the decomposition of SU(2) gauge field, we derive a generalization of the decomposition theory for the SU(N) gauge field. We thus obtain the invariant electro-magnetic tensors of SU(N) groups and the extended Wu-Yang potentials. The sourceless solutions are also discussed.

Topological excitation in the Fractional Quantum Hall system

Two kinds of topological excitations, vortices and skyrmions, are studied in the frame of Ginzburg-Landau theory. We obtain the rigorous relation between the topological excitation and the order parameters in the fractional quantum Hall systems. We also discuss the evolution of the vortices in fractional quantum Hall systems.
