The maximal regularity operator on tent spaces

Recently, Auscher and Axelsson gave a new approach to non-smooth boundary value problems with $L^{2}$ data, that relies on some appropriate weighted maximal regularity estimates. As part of the development of the corresponding $L^{p}$ theory, we prove here the relevant weighted maximal estimates in tent spaces $T^{p,2}$ for $p$ in a certain open range. We also study the case $p=\infty$.

Non-tangential maximal functions and conical square functions with respect to the Gaussian measure

We study, in $L^{1}(\R^n;γ)$ with respect to the gaussian measure, non-tangential maximal functions and conical square functions associated with the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator by developing a set of techniques which allow us, to some extent, to compensate for the non-doubling character of the gaussian measure. The main result asserts that conical square functions can be controlled in $L^1$-norm by non-tangential maximal functions. Along the way we prove a change of aperture result for the latter. This complements recent results on gaussian Hardy spaces due to Mauceri and Meda.

Holomorphic functional calculus of Hodge-Dirac operators in Lp

We study the boundedness of the $H^{\infty}$ functional calculus for differential operators acting in (L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n};\mathbb{C}^{N})). For constant coefficients, we give simple conditions on the symbols implying such boundedness. For non-constant coefficients, we extend our recent results for the (L^p) theory of the Kato square root problem to the more general framework of Hodge-Dirac operators with variable coefficients (Π_B) as treated in (L^2(\mathbb{R}^{n};\mathbb{C}^{N})) by Axelsson, Keith, and McIntosh. We obtain a characterization of the property that (Π_B) has a bounded (H^{\infty}) functional calculus, in terms of randomized boundedness conditions of its resolvent. This allows us to deduce stability under small perturbations of this functional calculus.

Conical square function estimates in UMD Banach spaces and applications to H-infinity functional calculi

We study conical square function estimates for Banach-valued functions, and introduce a vector-valued analogue of the Coifman-Meyer-Stein tent spaces. Following recent work of Auscher-McIntosh-Russ, the tent spaces in turn are used to construct a scale of vector-valued Hardy spaces associated with a given bisectorial operator (A) with certain off-diagonal bounds, such that (A) always has a bounded (H^{\infty})-functional calculus on these spaces. This provides a new way of proving functional calculus of (A) on the Bochner spaces (L^p(\R^n;X)) by checking appropriate conical square function estimates, and also a conical analogue of Bourgain's extension of the Littlewood-Paley theory to the UMD-valued context. Even when (X=\C), our approach gives refined (p)-dependent versions of known results.

Kato's square root problem in Banach spaces

Let $L$ be an elliptic differential operator with bounded measurable coefficients, acting in Bochner spaces $L^{p}(R^{n};X)$ of $X$-valued functions on $R^n$. We characterize Kato's square root estimates $\|\sqrt{L}u\|_{p} \eqsim \|\nabla u\|_{p}$ and the $H^{\infty}$-functional calculus of $L$ in terms of R-boundedness properties of the resolvent of $L$, when $X$ is a Banach function lattice with the UMD property, or a noncommutative $L^{p}$ space. To do so, we develop various vector-valued analogues of classical objects in Harmonic Analysis, including a maximal function for Bochner spaces. In the special case $X=C$, we get a new approach to the $L^p$ theory of square roots of elliptic operators, as well as an $L^{p}$ version of Carleson's inequality.
