Flow harmonic correlations via multi-particle symmetric and asymmetric cumulants in Au+Au collisions at \(\sqrt{s_{NN}}\) = 200 GeV

We study multi-particle azimuthal correlations in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV. We use initial conditions obtained from a Monte-Carlo Glauber model and evolve them within a viscous relativistic hydrodynamics framework that eventually gives way to a transport model in the late hadronic stage of the evolution. We compute the multi-particle symmetric and asymmetric cumulants and present the results for their sensitivity to the shear and bulk viscosities during the hydrodynamic evolution. We also check their sensitivity to resonance decay and hadronic interactions. We demonstrate that while some of these observables are more sensitive to transport properties than traditional flow observables, others are less sensitive, making them suitable for studying different stages of the evolution.

Longitudinal flow decorrelation in heavy-ion collision at RHIC energies using a multi-phase transport model

We present a study on the longitudinal flow decorrelation in heavy-ion collisions at the RHIC Beam Energy Scan (BES) energies ($\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 11.5 to 200 GeV in Au+Au collisions) using the AMPT model. We measure the second and third order factorization ratios ($r_{2}$ and $r_{3}$) across BES energies, finding $r_{2}$ weakly dependent on collision energy while $r_{3}$ shows a more prominent collision energy dependent. The effect of parton-parton scattering cross section on $r_{2}$ and $r_{3}$ is studied which suggests that longitudinal decorrelation could be a potential observable to constrain transport properties of the medium. We also analyze the contributions of flow-plane and flow magnitude decorrelation, with flow-plane decorrelation being dominant. we measure a recently proposed observable, the four particle cumulant ($T_{2}$), which remains resilient to non-flow effects and exhibits sensitivity to different decorrelation patterns. Through the measurement of $T_{2}$, we consistently observe a hint of S-shaped or torqued decorrelation across all energy ranges in peripheral collisions (40-80\%). But in central and mid-central collisions, presence of any specific pattern of decorrelation is missing in AMPT model.

Examining the influence of hadronic interactions on the directed flow of identified particles in RHIC Beam Energy Scan energies using UrQMD model

The directed flow of identified particles can serve as a sensitive tool for investigating the interactions during initial and final states in heavy ion collisions. This study examines the rapidity-odd directed flow ($v_{1}$) and its slope ($dv_{1}/dy$) for $π^{\pm}$, $K^{\pm}$, p, and $\bar{\mathrm p}$ in Au+Au collisions at different collision centralities and beam energies ($\sqrt{s_{\mathrm NN}}$ = 7.7, 11.5, 14.5, 19.6, 27, and 39 GeV) using the UrQMD model. We investigate the impact of late-stage hadronic interactions on charge dependent $v_{1}(y)$ and its slope by modifying the duration of the hadronic cascade lifetime ($τ$). The energy dependence of $dv_{1}/dy$ for p ($\bar{\mathrm p}$) exhibits distinct pattern compared to $π^{\pm}$ and $K^{\pm}$. Notably, we observe a change in the sign reversal position of proton $dv_{1}/dy$ at different beam energies with varying $τ$ in central and mid-central collisions. Moreover, the difference in $dv_{1}/dy$ between positively and negatively charged hadrons ($Δdv_{1}/dy$) demonstrates a stark centrality dependence for different particle species. The deuteron displays a significant increase in $dv_{1}/dy$ with increasing $τ$ compared to p and n. This investigation underscores the importance of considering the temporal evolution and duration of the hadronic phase when interpreting the sign reversal, charge splitting of $v_{1}$ and light nuclei formation at lower RHIC energies.

Anisotropic flow of (multi-)strange hadrons in Au+Au collisions in BES-II energies at STAR

In these proceedings, we report the elliptic ($v_{2}$) and triangular ($v_{3}$) flow measurements of strange and multi-strange hadrons such as $K_{S}^{0}$, ~$Λ$($\barΛ$), ~$ϕ$, ~$Ξ^{-}$($\barΞ^{+}$), and $Ω^{-}$($\barΩ^{+}$) at mid-rapidity ($|y| < 1.0$) in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 19.6 GeV using high statistics Beam Energy Scan Phase-II (BES-II) data. The transverse momentum ($p_{T}$) dependence, centrality dependence, and the number of constituent quarks (NCQ) scaling of $v_{2}$ and $v_{3}$ are studied for all these particles. A better NCQ scaling is observed in the case of antiparticles compared to particles, which can be attributed to the contribution from the transported quarks in particles. The hydrodynamically motivated ratio ($v_{3}/v_{2}^{3/2}$) is presented as a function of $p_{T}$.

Insight from the elliptic flow of identified hadrons measured in relativistic heavy-ion collisions

In this paper, we have discussed the transverse momentum dependence of elliptic flow measured in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. The transverse momentum dependence of the number of constituent quarks ($n_{q}$) scaled $v_{2}$ is obtained for all the measured identified hadrons. The $n_{q}$ scaled $ϕ$ $v_{2}$ is found to be similar to $n_{q}$ scaled $Ω$ $v_{2}$. This indicates that both $ϕ$ and $Ω$ are produced through quark recombination at RHIC energies. We also find $n_{q}$ scaled proton $v_{2}$ ($v_{2}$ of light quarks) is higher than $n_{q}$ scaled $ϕ$ and $Ω$ $v_{2}$ ($v_{2}$ of strange quarks) at $p_{T}/n_{q}$ $<$ 1.0 GeV/c. This can be explained by considering quark $v_{2}$ is proportional to its transverse kinetic energy considering mass of deconfined light and strange quarks equal to $\sim $4 MeV and $\sim$ 140 MeV, respectively.

Invariant yield and azimuthal anisotropy measurements of strange and multi-strange hadrons in Au+Au collision at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 27 and 54.4 GeV at STAR

In this proceedings, we have presented the invariant yield measurements of strange and multi strange hadrons such as $K^{0}_{S}$, $Λ$, $\barΛ$, $ϕ$, $Ξ^{-}$, $\barΞ^{+}$, $Ω^{-}$, $\barΩ^{+}$ in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 54.4 GeV at midrapidity ($|y|<0.5$). The second and third-order azimuthal anisotropic flow of the above mentioned particles at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 27 and 54.4 GeV are also discussed. Some of the important observables such as nuclear modification factor ($R_{CP}$), baryon to meson ratio ($Ω/ϕ$), transverse momentum dependence of $v_{2}$ and $v_{3}$ are measured. The number of constituent quark (NCQ) scaling of $v_{2}$ and $v_{3}$ is studied for all these particles.

Azimuthal anisotropy measurement of multi-strange hadrons in Au+Au collision at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 27 and 54.4 GeV at STAR

In these proceedings, we present the second order ($v_{2}$) and the third order ($v_{3}$) azimuthal anisotropy measurements of strange and multi-strange hadrons such as $K^{0}_{S}$, $Λ$, $\barΛ$, $ϕ$, $Ξ^{-}$, $\barΞ^{+}$, $Ω^{-}$, $\barΩ^{+}$ in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 27 and 54.4 GeV at STAR. The centrality dependence of $v_{2}$ and $v_{3}$ as well as the number of constituent quark scaling (NCQ scaling) for all the particles mentioned above are discussed. The ratio of $v_{2}$ of $ϕ$ mesons to that of $\bar{p}$ is presented at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 54.4 GeV which gives a hint of mass ordering violation at low $p_{T}$.

Azimuthal anisotropy measurement of $ϕ$ mesons in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 27 and 54.4 GeV at STAR

The elliptic flow coefficient ($v_{2}$) of $ϕ$ mesons at mid-rapidity as a function of transverse momentum ($p_{T}$) is measured for Au+Au collisions at centre of mass energy ($\sqrt{s_{NN}}$) 27 and 54.4 GeV. The $v_{2}$ measurement is done using event plane from Time Projection Chamber (TPC, $|η|$ $<$1.0) and Event Plane Detectors (EPD, 2.1$<$$|η|$$<$5.1) for 54.4 and 27 GeV, respectively. A high precision test of the number of constituent quark scaling of $ϕ$ meson $v_{2}$ (by including measurements for other hadrons) has been shown. The results are compared to transport model (AMPT) calculations.
