The existence of $(\mathbf{p}, k)$-convex hypersurfaces for a class of Hessian quotient type curvature equations

This article investigates the existence of closed, star-shaped hypersurfaces for a class of Hessian quotient type curvature equations, in which the operator $\frac{\sigma_k}{\sigma_l}(\Lambda)$ arising in these equations can be viewed as a generalization of the classical Hessian quotient operator. By combining a priori estimates with the continuity method, we establish the existence and uniqueness of $(\mathbf{p}, k)$-convex hypersurfaces for both nonhomogeneous and homogeneous equations of this type. Furthermore, by exploiting the recently discovered ``inverse convexity'' property of the operator $\frac{\sigma_k}{\sigma_l}(\Lambda)$, we prove a constant rank theorem and thereby obtain the existence and uniqueness of strictly convex solutions to these curvature equations.

The $L_p$ dual Christoffel-Minkowski type problem for a class of Hessian quotient equations

In this paper, we investigate an $L_p$ dual Christoffel-Minkowski type problem for the Hessian quotient operator $\frac{\sigma_{k}(\Lambda)}{\sigma_{l}(\Lambda)}$, where the operator $\Lambda$ has been widely studied in the literature. Exploiting the recently discovered ``inverse convexity'' property of this class of operators, we establish a full rank theorem under suitable structural assumptions. Together with a priori estimates, this result enables us to prove the existence and uniqueness of strictly spherically convex solutions to the above $L_p$ dual Christoffel-Minkowski type problem.

The Neumann problem for a class of degenerate Hessian quotient type equations

In this paper, we obtain some important inequalities for a class of Hessian quotient type operators $\frac{\sigma_k(\Lambda(D^2u))}{\sigma_l(\Lambda(D^2u))}$, which can be regarded as a generalization of the classical Hessian quotient operators. As an application, we establish global a priori estimates and prove an existence theorem for the Neumann problem of the corresponding degenerate Hessian quotient type equation, in which the admissible range of $k$ is extended to $0< k \leq C^\mathbf{p}_n$ with $1 \leq \mathbf{p} \leq n-1$.

Survey of Metric fixed point theory in random functional analysis

Based on the idea of randomizing the traditional space theory of functional analysis, random functional analysis has been developed as functional analysis over random metric spaces, random normed modules and random locally convex modules. Since these random frameworks have much more complicated algebraic, topological and geometric structures than their prototypes, the development of fixed point theory in random functional analysis had been almost stagnant before 2010. Unexpectedly, with the deep development of stable set theory fixed point theory in random functional analysis, including both its metric and topological fixed point theory, has made considerable progress in the recent 15 years. The purpose of this paper is to survey the important progress in metric fixed point theory in random functional analysis, including the random Banach contraction mapping principle and Caristi fixed point theorem on complete random metric spaces, and fixed point theorems for random nonexpansive and asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in complete random normed modules. Besides, the connections among the topics surveyed, random equations and random fixed point theorems for random operators are also briefly mentioned.

A random demiclosedness principle for random asymptotically nonexpansive mappings

By making full use of the inherent connection between the theory of random conjugate spaces and the theory of classical conjugate spaces, in this paper we establish a random demiclosedness principle for a random asymptotically nonexpansive mapping, which generalizes Xu's classical demiclosedness principle from a uniformly convex Banach space to a complete random uniformly convex random normed module: let $(E,\|\cdot\|)$ be a complete random uniformly convex random normed module, $E^{*}$ the random conjugate space of $E$, $G$ an almost surely bounded closed $L^{0}$-convex subset of $E$ and $f: G \rightarrow G$ a random asymptotically nonexpansive mapping, then $(I-f)$ is random demiclosed at $\theta$, namely, for each sequence $\{x_{n}, n\in \mathbb{N}\}$ in $G$, if $\{x_{n}, n\in \mathbb{N}\}$ converges in $\sigma(E, E^{*})$ to $x$ and $\{(I-f)x_{n}, n\in \mathbb{N}\}$ converges to $\theta$, then $(I-f)x=\theta$, where $I$ denotes the identity operator on $E$ and $\sigma(E, E^{*})$ the random weak topology on $E$.

The random Kakutani fixed point theorem in random normed modules

Based on the recently developed theory of random sequential compactness, we prove the random Kakutani fixed point theorem in random normed modules: if G is a random sequentially compact L0-convex subset of a random normed module, then every -stable Tc-upper semicontinuous mapping F:G to 2G such that F(x) is closed and L0-convex for each x in G, has a fixed point. This is the first fixed point theorem for set-valued mappings in random normed modules, providing a random generalization of the classical Kakutani fixed point theorem as well as a set-valued extension of the noncompact Schauder fixed point theorem established in Math. Ann. 391(3), 3863--3911 (2025).

A new complete proof of the random Brouwer fixed point theorem and its implied consequences of unification

We first establish a general random Sperner lemma by presenting a completely new approach for the theory of $L^{0}$-simplicial subdivisions of $L^{0}$-simplexes. Based on this, we are able to achieve a new complete proof of the random Brouwer fixed theorem in random Euclidean spaces, which can provide a solid foundation for various contemporary applications of interest. Afterward, we unify the works currently available and closely related to the random Brouwer fixed theorem: we first prove that the stochastic Brouwer fixed point theorem occurring elsewhere in stochastic analysis is equivalent to a special case of our random Brouwer fixed theorem, and then prove a general random Borsuk theorem and its equivalence with the random Brouwer fixed theorem. Finally, we conclude this paper with commentaries on recent state of study of the famous Schauder conjecture.

The $L_p$-dual Christoffel-Minkowski problem for the case $p\geq q$

In this paper, we consider a class of Hessian equations associated to the $L_p$-dual Christoffel-Minkowski problem for the case $p\geq q$. By combining the tools of constant rank theorem, the a priori estimates and the continuity method, we obtain the existence and uniqueness for strictly spherical convex solutions to the $L_p$-dual Christoffel-Minkowski problem.

The Neumann problem for a class of Hessian quotient type equations

In this paper, we consider the Neumann problem for a class of Hessian quotient equations involving a gradient term on the right-hand side in Euclidean space. More precisely, we derive the interior gradient estimates for the $(\Lambda, k)$-convex solution of Hessian quotient equation $\frac{\sigma_k(\Lambda(D^2 u))}{\sigma_l(\Lambda(D^2 u))}=\psi(x,u,D u)$ with $0\leq l<k\leq C^{p-1}_{n-1}$ under the assumption of the growth condition. As an application, we obtain the global a priori estimates and the existence theorem for the Neumann problem of this Hessian quotient type equation.

Second order estimates for $\chi$-semi convex solutions of Hessian equations on Hermitian manifolds

In this paper, we establish the modified concavity inequality for complex Hessian equations under the semi-convexity assumption inspired by Lu \cite{Lu23} and Zhang \cite{Z24} for real case. Then second order estimates for admissible solutions of complex Hessian equations on compact Hermitian manifolds with both sides of equations depending on gradient terms are obtained by taking advantage of the crucial inequality.

Common fixed point theorems for a commutative family of nonexpansive mappings in complete random normed modules

In this paper, we first introduce and study the notion of random Chebyshev centers. Further, based on the recently developed theory of stable sets, we introduce the notion of random complete normal structure so that we can prove the two deeper theorems: one of which states that random complete normal structure is equivalent to random normal structure for an $L^0$-convexly compact set in a complete random normed module; the other of which states that if $G$ is an $L^0$-convexly compact subset with random normal structure of a complete random normed module, then every commutative family of nonexpansive mappings from $G$ to $G$ has a common fixed point. We also consider the fixed point problems for isometric mappings in complete random normed modules. Finally, as applications of the fixed point theorems established in random normed modules, when the measurable selection theorems fail to work, we can still prove that a family of strong random nonexpansive operators from $(\Omega,\mathcal{F},P)\times C$ to $C$ has a common random fixed point, where $(\Omega,\mathcal{F},P)$ is a probability space and $C$ is a weakly compact convex subset with normal structure of a Banach space.

$k$-convex hypersurfaces with prescribed Weingarten curvature in warped product manifolds

In this paper, we consider Weingarten curvature equations for $k$-convex hypersurfaces with $n<2k$ in a warped product manifold $\overline{M}=I\times_{\lambda}M$. Based on the conjecture proposed by Ren-Wang in \cite{Ren2}, which is valid for $k\geq n-2$, we derive curvature estimates for equation $\sigma_k(\kappa)= \psi (V, \nu (V))$ through a straightforward proof. Furthermore, we also obtain an existence result for the star-shaped compact hypersurface $\Sigma$ satisfying the above equation by the degree theory under some sufficient conditions.

Dirichlet problem for degenerate Hessian quotient type curvature equations

In the paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness results of the $C^{1,1}$ regular graphic hypersurface for Dirichlet problem of a class of degenerate Hessian quotient type curvature equations under the condition $\psi^{\frac{1}{k-l}}\in C^{1,1}(\overline{\Omega}\times\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{S}^n)$. Specially, we also consider the second order derivative estimates for the corresponding degenerate Hessian type curvature equations under the optimal condition $\psi^{\frac{1}{k-1}}\in C^{1,1}(\overline{\Omega}\times\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{S}^n)$.

Pogorelov type estimates for $(n-1)$-Hessian equations and related rigidity theorems

In this paper, we establish Pogorelov type $C^2$ estimates for admissible solutions to the Dirichlet problem of $(n-1)$-Hessian equation based on a concavity inequality, which is inspired by the Lu-Tsai's work on the global curvature estimates for the $n-1$ curvature equation. As an application, we apply such estimates to obtain a rigidity theorems for admissible solutions of $(n-1)$-Hessian equation only under quadratic growth conditions. This result gives a positive answer to a open problem for $k$-Hessian equation, which is proposed by Chang-Yuan, in case $k=n-1$.

Regularities for solutions to the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem for unbounded closed sets

Recently, the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem for unbounded closed convex sets in a pointed closed convex cone was proposed and a weak solution to this problem was provided. In smooth setting, this problem is equivalent to solving the Dirichlet problem for a class of Monge-Amp\`ere type equations. In this paper, we show the existence, regularity and uniqueness of solutions to this Monge-Amp\`ere type equation in the case $p\geq 1$ by studying variational properties for a family of Monge-Amp\`ere functionals. Moreover, the existence and optimal global H\"older regularity in the case $p<1$ and $q\geq n$ is also be discussed.

The relations among the notions of various kinds of stability and their applications

First, we prove that a random metric space can be isometrically embedded into a complete random normed module, as an application of which, it is easy to see that the notion of $d$-$\sigma$-stability introduced for a nonempty subset of a random metric space can be regarded as a special case of the notion of $\sigma$-stability introduced for a nonempty subset of a random normed module, as another application we give the final version of the characterization for a $d$-$\sigma$-stable random metric space to be stably compact. Second, we prove that an $L^{\infty}$-module is an $L^{p}$-normed $L^{\infty}$-module iff it is generated by a complete random normed module, from which it is easily seen that the gluing property of an $L^{p}$-normed $L^{\infty}$-module can be derived from the $\sigma$-stability of the generating random normed module, as applications the known and new basic facts of module duals for $L^{p}$-normed $L^{\infty}$-modules can be obtained, in a simple and direct way, from the theory of random conjugate spaces of random normed modules. Third, we prove that a random normed space is order complete iff it is complete with respect to the $(\varepsilon,\lambda)$-topology, as an application it is proved that the $d$-decomposability of an order complete random normed space is exactly its $d$-$\sigma$-stability. Finally, we prove that an equivalence relation on the product space $X\times B$ of a nonempty set $X$ and a complete Boolean algebra $B$ is regular iff it can be induced by a $B$-valued Boolean metric $d$ on $X$, as an application it is proved that a nonempty subset of a Boolean set $(X,d)$ is universally complete iff it is a $B$-stable set defined by a regular equivalence relation.

Integrating Large Language Model for Improved Causal Discovery

Recovering the structure of causal graphical models from observational data is an essential yet challenging task for causal discovery in scientific scenarios. Domain-specific causal discovery usually relies on expert validation or prior analysis to improve the reliability of recovered causality, which is yet limited by the scarcity of expert resources. Recently, Large Language Models (LLM) have been used for causal analysis across various domain-specific scenarios, suggesting its potential as autonomous expert roles in guiding data-based structure learning. However, integrating LLMs into causal discovery faces challenges due to inaccuracies in LLM-based reasoning on revealing the actual causal structure. To address this challenge, we propose an error-tolerant LLM-driven causal discovery framework. The error-tolerant mechanism is designed three-fold with sufficient consideration on potential inaccuracies. In the LLM-based reasoning process, an accuracy-oriented prompting strategy restricts causal analysis to a reliable range. Next, a knowledge-to-structure transition aligns LLM-derived causal statements with structural causal interactions. In the structure learning process, the goodness-of-fit to data and adherence to LLM-derived priors are balanced to further address prior inaccuracies. Evaluation of eight real-world causal structures demonstrates the efficacy of our LLM-driven approach in improving data-based causal discovery, along with its robustness to inaccurate LLM-derived priors. NTIRE 2022 Challenge on High Dynamic Range Imaging: Methods and Results

This paper reviews the challenge on constrained high dynamic range (HDR) imaging that was part of the New Trends in Image Restoration and Enhancement (NTIRE) workshop, held in conjunction with CVPR 2022. This manuscript focuses on the competition set-up, datasets, the proposed methods and their results. The challenge aims at estimating an HDR image from multiple respective low dynamic range (LDR) observations, which might suffer from under- or over-exposed regions and different sources of noise. The challenge is composed of two tracks with an emphasis on fidelity and complexity constraints: In Track 1, participants are asked to optimize objective fidelity scores while imposing a low-complexity constraint (i.e. solutions can not exceed a given number of operations). In Track 2, participants are asked to minimize the complexity of their solutions while imposing a constraint on fidelity scores (i.e. solutions are required to obtain a higher fidelity score than the prescribed baseline). Both tracks use the same data and metrics: Fidelity is measured by means of PSNR with respect to a ground-truth HDR image (computed both directly and with a canonical tonemapping operation), while complexity metrics include the number of Multiply-Accumulate (MAC) operations and runtime (in seconds).
