Classification results of Liouville equations and rigidity of Riemannian surfaces

We study the Liouville equation $\triangle u+e^{2u} =0$ in a Riemannian surface $(M, g)$ with nonnegative $Ricci$ curvature. Under some asymptotic lower bound assumptions, we classify all the solutions to this equation, meanwhile we obtain the rigidity results for the ambient manifold. Note that our assumptions are optimal in some sense and differ from the classical assumption of finite total curvature.

Jerison-Lee identity and Semi-linear subelliptic equation on CR manifold

In the study of the extremal for Sobolev inequality on the Heisenberg group and the Cauchy-Riemann(CR) Yamabe problem, Jerison-Lee found a three-dimensional family of differential identities for critical exponent subelliptic equation on Heisenberg group $\mathbb H^n$ by using the computer in [11]. They wanted to know whether there is a theoretical framework that would predict the existence and the structure of such formulae. With the help of dimensional conservation and invariant tensors, we can answer the above question. For a class of subcritical exponent subelliptic equations on the CR manifold, several new types of differential identities are found. Then we use those identities to get the rigidity result, where rigidity means that subelliptic equations have no other solution than some constant at least when parameters are in a certain range. The rigidity result also deduces the sharp Folland-Stein inequality on closed CR manifolds.

On the classification of entire solutions to the critical p-Laplace equation

Under the assumption of finite energy, positive solutions to the critical p-Laplace equation in $\mathbb{R}^n$ for $1< p<n$ have been classified completely by moving plane method. In this paper, the author provide a new approach to obtain the same classification results for $\frac{n+1}{3}\leq p<n$, without any further assumptions.

Liouville theorem for a class semilinear elliptic problem on Heisenberg group

We obtain an entire Liouville type theorem to the classical semilinear subcritical elliptic equation on Heisenberg group. A pointwise estimate near the isolated singularity was also proved. The soul of the proofs is an a priori integral estimate, which deduced from a generalized formula of that found by Jerison and Lee.
