MCSC-Bench: Multimodal Context-to-Script Creation for Realistic Video Production

Real-world video creation often involves a complex reasoning workflow of selecting relevant shots from noisy materials, planning missing shots for narrative completeness, and organizing them into coherent storylines. However, existing benchmarks focus on isolated sub-tasks and lack support for evaluating this full process. To address this gap, we propose Multimodal Context-to-Script Creation (MCSC), a new task that transforms noisy multimodal inputs and user instructions into structured, executable video scripts. We further introduce MCSC-Bench, the first large-scale MCSC dataset, comprising 11K+ well-annotated videos. Each sample includes: (1) redundant multimodal materials and user instructions; (2) a coherent, production-ready script containing material-based shots, newly planned shots (with shooting instructions), and shot-aligned voiceovers. MCSC-Bench supports comprehensive evaluation across material selection, narrative planning, and conditioned script generation, and includes both in-domain and out-of-domain test sets. Experiments show that current multimodal LLMs struggle with structure-aware reasoning under long contexts, highlighting the challenges posed by our benchmark. Models trained on MCSC-Bench achieve SOTA performance, with an 8B model surpassing Gemini-2.5-Pro, and generalize to out-of-domain scenarios. Downstream video generation guided by the generated scripts further validates the practical value of MCSC. Datasets will be public soon.

Holistic Information Theory of Spatial Remote Sensing Imaging

To address the non-optimal global design caused by the independent optimization of optical lenses, photodetectors, and computational processing subsystems in traditional remote sensing imaging system design, this paper proposes a holistic information theory for spatial remote sensing imaging. This theory integrates the optoelectronic imaging hardware front end and computational reconstruction back end into a unified framework. It establishes a complete spatial imaging chain information transfer model with the objective of obtaining the required effective information. The paper innovatively proposes a quantifiable Modulation Transfer Function (MTF)-Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) product criterion. It demonstrates that the system information transmission ability is determined by the product of MTF and SNR, and that these parameters can compensate for each other to achieve equivalent information transfer. Validation through a high-resolution Earth observation system case shows that under consistent reconstruction mean square error conditions, increasing time delay integration stages reduces optical aperture size and significantly lowers primary mirror mass. Simulations and physical experiments further indicate that by increasing integration time, low-resolution optical systems achieve reconstructed fidelity comparable to high-resolution systems. This verifies that small-aperture optical systems can achieve equivalent imaging performance by enhancing SNR. This theory has been successfully applied in the design of the Jilin-1 satellite constellation, providing a new paradigm for low-cost high-resolution remote sensing systems.

EnergyPatchTST: Multi-scale Time Series Transformers with Uncertainty Estimation for Energy Forecasting

Accurate and reliable energy time series prediction is of great significance for power generation planning and allocation. At present, deep learning time series prediction has become the mainstream method. However, the multi-scale time dynamics and the irregularity of real data lead to the limitations of the existing methods. Therefore, we propose EnergyPatchTST, which is an extension of the Patch Time Series Transformer specially designed for energy forecasting. The main innovations of our method are as follows: (1) multi-scale feature extraction mechanism to capture patterns with different time resolutions; (2) probability prediction framework to estimate uncertainty through Monte Carlo elimination; (3) integration path of future known variables (such as temperature and wind conditions); And (4) Pre-training and Fine-tuning examples to enhance the performance of limited energy data sets. A series of experiments on common energy data sets show that EnergyPatchTST is superior to other commonly used methods, the prediction error is reduced by 7-12%, and reliable uncertainty estimation is provided, which provides an important reference for time series prediction in the energy field.

CTR-Driven Ad Text Generation via Online Feedback Preference Optimization

Advertising text plays a critical role in determining click-through rates (CTR) in online advertising. Large Language Models (LLMs) offer significant efficiency advantages over manual ad text creation. However, LLM-generated ad texts do not guarantee higher CTR performance compared to human-crafted texts, revealing a gap between generation quality and online performance of ad texts. In this work, we propose a novel ad text generation method which optimizes for CTR through preference optimization from online feedback. Our approach adopts an innovative two-stage framework: (1) diverse ad text sampling via one-shot in-context learning, using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to provide exemplars with chain-of-thought (CoT) reasoning; (2) CTR-driven preference optimization from online feedback, which weighs preference pairs according to their CTR gains and confidence levels. Through our method, the resulting model enables end-to-end generation of high-CTR ad texts. Extensive experiments have demonstrated the effectiveness of our method in both offline and online metrics. Notably, we have applied our method on a large-scale online shopping platform and achieved significant CTR improvements, showcasing its strong applicability and effectiveness in advertising systems.

A Prototypical Semantic Decoupling Method via Joint Contrastive Learning for Few-Shot Name Entity Recognition

Few-shot named entity recognition (NER) aims at identifying named entities based on only few labeled instances. Most existing prototype-based sequence labeling models tend to memorize entity mentions which would be easily confused by close prototypes. In this paper, we proposed a Prototypical Semantic Decoupling method via joint Contrastive learning (PSDC) for few-shot NER. Specifically, we decouple class-specific prototypes and contextual semantic prototypes by two masking strategies to lead the model to focus on two different semantic information for inference. Besides, we further introduce joint contrastive learning objectives to better integrate two kinds of decoupling information and prevent semantic collapse. Experimental results on two few-shot NER benchmarks demonstrate that PSDC consistently outperforms the previous SOTA methods in terms of overall performance. Extensive analysis further validates the effectiveness and generalization of PSDC.
