Aspects of the gauge boson-gaugino mixing in a supersymmetric scenario with Lorentz-symmetry violation

We write down an $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric extension for non-Abelian gauge theories in (1+3) dimensions with a Lorentz- and CPT-violating term of the Carroll-Field-Jackiw type. By including effects of the background (supersymmetric) fermion bilinears that accompany Lorentz-symmetry violation in a Carroll-Field-Jackiw scenario, we investigate both the gauge boson and gaugino dispersion relations in order to compute their respective masses in terms of the background structures. Such results open up a potential path towards a possible mechanism for gaugino-gauge boson conversion, an analogue of the Primakoff effect, induced here not by an external magnetic field, but instead by the (Majorana) fermionic sector of the supersymmetry multiplet in the backstage of the Lorentz-symmetry violation.

The supersymmetric extension of the replica model

We perform a $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric extension of the replica model quantized in the Landau gauge and compute the gluon and gluino propagators at tree-level, such results display a supersymmetric confined model very similar to the supersymmetric version of the Gribov-Zwanziger approach.

An all order renormalizable Refined-Gribov-Zwanziger model with BRST invariant fermionic horizon function in linear covariant gauges

We introduce, within the Refined-Gribov-Zwanziger setup, a composite BRST invariant fermionic operator coupled to the inverse of the Faddeev-Popov operator. As a result, an effective BRST invariant action in Euclidean space-time is constructed, enabling us to pave the first step towards the study of the behaviour of the fermion propagator in the infrared region in the class of the linear covariant gauges. The aforementioned action is proven to be renormalizable to all orders by means of the algebraic renormalization procedure.

Study of a gauge invariant local composite fermionic field

In this work, we study a gauge invariant local non-polynomial composite spinor field in the fundamental representation in order to establish its renormalizability. Similar studies were already done in the case of pure Yang-Mills theories where a local composite gauge invariant vector field was obtained and an invariant renormalizable mass term could be introduced. Our model consists of a massive Euclidean Yang-Mills action with gauge group $SU(N)$ coupled to fermionic matter in the presence of an invariant spinor composite field and quantized in the linear covariant gauges. The whole set of Ward identities is analysed and the algebraic proof of the renormalizability of the model is obtained to all orders in a loop expansion.

$\mathcal{N}=2$ Supersymmetry with Central Charge: A Twofold Implementation

In this work, we analyze an extended $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry with central charge and develop its superspace formulation under two distinct viewpoints. Initially, in the context of classical mechanics, we discuss the introduction of deformed supersymmetric derivatives and their consequence on the deformation of one-dimensional non-linear sigma model. After that, considering a field-theoretical framework, we present an implementation of this superalgebra in two dimensions, such that one of the coordinates is related to the central charge. As an application, in this two-dimensional scenario, we consider topological (bosonic) configurations of a special self-coupled matter model and present a non-trivial fermionic solution.

On the renormalization of a generalized supersymmetric version of the maximal Abelian gauge

In this work we present an algebraic proof of the renormazibility of the super-Yang-Mills action quantized in a generalized supersymmetric version of the maximal Abelian gauge. The main point stated here is that the generalized gauge depends on a set of infinity gauge parameters in order to take into account all possible composite operators emerging from the dimensionless character of the vector superfield. At the end, after the removal of all ultraviolet divergences, it is possible to specify values to the gauge parameters in order to return to the original supersymmetric maximal Abelian gauge, first presented in Phys. Rev. D91, no. 12, 125017 (2015), Ref. [1].

Renormalizability of $\mathcal{N}=1$ super Yang-Mills theory in Landau gauge with a Stueckelberg-like field

We construct a vector gauge invariant transverse field configuration $V^H$, consisting of the well-known superfield $V$ and of a Stueckelberg-like chiral superfield. The renormalizability of the Super Yang Mills action in the Landau gauge is analyzed in the presence of a gauge invariant mass term $m^2 \int dV \mathcal{M}(V^H)$, with $\mathcal{M}(V^H)$ a power series in $V^H$. Unlike the original Stueckelberg action, the resulting action turns out to be renormalizable to all orders.

Renormalizability of pure $\mathcal{N}=1$ Super Yang-Mills in the Wess-Zumino gauge in the presence of the local composite operators $A^{2}$ and $\barλλ$

The renormalization of $\mathcal{N}=1$ Super Yang-Mills theory with the presence of the local composite operators $AA$, $A_μγ_μλ$ and $\barλλ$ is analyzed in the Wess-Zumino gauge, employing the Landau condition. An all-orders proof of the renormalizability of the theory is given by means of the Algebraic Renormalization procedure. Only three renormalization constants are needed, which can be identified with the coupling constant, gauge field, and gluino renormalization. The non-renormalization theorem of the gluon--ghost--anti-ghost vertex in the Landau gauge is shown to remain valid in $\mathcal{N}=1$ Super Yang-Mills with the presence of the local composite operators. Moreover, due to the non-linear realization of the supersymmetry in the Wess-Zumino gauge, the renormalization factor of the gauge field turns out to be different from that of the gluino.

Renormalizability of pure $\mathcal{N}=1$ Super Yang-Mills in the Wess-Zumino gauge in the presence of the local composite operators $A^{2}$ and $\barλλ$

The $\mathcal{N}=1$ Super Yang-Mills theory in the presence of the local composite operator $A^2$ is analyzed in the Wess-Zumino gauge by employing the Landau gauge fixing condition. Due to the superymmetric structure of the theory, two more composite operators, $A_μγ_μλ$ and $\barλλ$, related to the susy variations of $A^2$ are also introduced. A BRST invariant action containing all these operators is obtained. An all order proof of the multiplicative renormalizability of the resulting theory is then provided by means of the algebraic renormalization setup. Though, due to the non-linear realization of the supersymmetry in the Wess-Zumino gauge, the renormalization factor of the gauge field turns out to be different from that of the gluino.

On a renormalizable class of gauge fixings for the gauge invariant operator $A_{\min }^{2}$

The dimension two gauge invariant non-local operator $A_{\min }^{2}$, obtained through the minimization of $\int d^4x A^2$ along the gauge orbit, allows to introduce a non-local gauge invariant configuration $A^h_μ$ which can be employed to built up a class of Euclidean massive Yang-Mills models useful to investigate non-perturbative infrared effects of confining theories. A fully local setup for both $A_{\min }^{2}$ and $A^{h}_μ$ can be achieved, resulting in a local and BRST invariant action which shares similarities with the Stueckelberg formalism. Though, unlike the case of the Stueckelberg action, the use of $A_{\min }^{2}$ gives rise to an all orders renormalizable action, a feature which will be illustrated by means of a class of covariant gauge fixings which, as much as 't Hooft's $R_ζ$-gauge of spontaneously broken gauge theories, provide a mass for the Stueckelberg field.

Aspects of the refined Gribov-Zwanziger action in linear covariant gauges

We prove the renormalizability to all orders of a refined Gribov-Zwanziger type action in linear covariant gauges in four-dimensional Euclidean space. In this model, the Gribov copies are taken into account by requiring that the Faddeev-Popov operator is positive definite with respect to the transverse component of the gauge field, a procedure which turns out to be analogous to the restriction to the Gribov region in the Landau gauge. The model studied here can be regarded as the first approximation of a more general nonperturbative BRST invariant formulation of the refined Gribov-Zwanziger action in linear covariant gauges obtained recently in [Phys. Rev. D 92, no. 4, 045039 (2015) and arXiv:1605.02610 [hep-th]]. A key ingredient of the set up worked out in [Phys. Rev. D 92, no. 4, 045039 (2015) and arXiv:1605.02610 [hep-th]] is the introduction of a gauge invariant field configuration $\mathbf{A}_μ$ which can be expressed as an infinite non-local series in the starting gauge field $A_μ$. In the present case, we consider the approximation in which only the first term of the series representing $\mathbf{A}_μ$ is considered, corresponding to a pure transverse gauge field. The all order renormalizability of the resulting action gives thus a strong evidence of the renormalizability of the aforementioned more general nonperturbative BRST invariant formulation of the Gribov horizon in linear covariant gauges.
