Null player neutrality in TU-games: Egalitarian and Shapley solutions

We introduce and study the axiom of null player neutrality in the context of cooperative games with transferable utility (TU-games). This axiom weakens the classical coalitional strategic equivalence: rather than requiring that augmenting a game by a null-player game leaves that player's payoff unchanged, it only requires that any change in payoff be independent of the specific augmenting game, provided both the null-player condition and the grand-coalition value are preserved. We show that efficiency, linearity, symmetry, and null player neutrality together characterize the family of all real linear combinations of the Shapley value and the equal division solution, a family that strictly extends the well-known class of $α$-egalitarian Shapley values (convex combinations, $α\in [0,1]$) to arbitrary $α\in \mathbb{R}$. Replacing null player neutrality by its natural analogue for nullifying players uniquely pins down the equal division solution.

Lepton Flavor Violating Higgs Decays in a Minimal Doublet Left-Right Symmetric Model with an Inverse Seesaw

In this study, we analyse the lepton flavor violation (LFV) decays within the framework of the Doublet Left-Right Symmetric model (DLRSM), based on the gauge group SU\left(2\right)_{L}\otimes SU\left(2\right)_{R}\otimes U\left(1\right)_{B-L}. The model features an extended gauge and scalar sector, including a bidoublet and two doublets which induce new charged currents interactions. Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking (SSB) occurs in two stages, introducing a new scale associated with the vacuum expectation value (VEV) of the right-handed doublet v_{R} assumed to lie above the electroweak scale. Neutrino masses are generated via the inverse seesaw mechanism, allowing sizeable mixing between active and sterile neutrinos. We diagonalize the full neutrino mass matrix and express the mixing in terms of physical parameters. We compute the branching ratios for LFV Higgs decays as functions of the heavy neutrino mass scale. Our numerical analysis incorporates current experimental bounds and projected sensitivities, highlighting viable regions of parameter space where LFV signals could be observed at future colliders.

A minimal axion model for mass matrices with five texture-zeros

A model with fermion and scalar fields charged under a Peccei-Queen~(PQ) symmetry is proposed. The PQ charges are chosen in such a way that they can reproduce mass matrices with five texture zeros, {which can generate} the fermion masses, the CKM matrix, and the PMNS matrix of the Standard Model~(SM). To obtain this result, at least 4~Higgs doublets are needed. As we will see in the manuscript this is a highly non-trivial result since the texture zeros of the mass matrices impose a large number of restrictions. This model shows a route to understand the different scales of the SM by extending it with a multi-Higgs sector and an additional PQ symmetry. Since the PQ charges are not universal, the model presents flavor-changing neutral currents~(FCNC) at the tree level, a feature that constitutes the main source of restrictions on the parameter space. We report the allowed regions by lepton decays and compare them with those coming from the semileptonic decays $K^{\pm}\longrightarrow π\barνν$. We also show the excluded regions and the projected bounds of future experiments for the axion-photon coupling as a function of the axion mass and compare it with the parameter space of our model.

Approximate Bayesian Computation in controlled branching processes: the role of summary statistics

Controlled branching processes are stochastic growth population models in which the number of individuals with reproductive capacity in each generation is controlled by a random control function. The purpose of this work is to examine the Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC) methods and to propose appropriate summary statistics for them in the context of these processes. This methodology enables to approximate the posterior distribution of the parameters of interest satisfactorily without explicit likelihood calculations and under a minimal set of assumptions. In particular, the tolerance rejection algorithm, the sequential Monte Carlo ABC algorithm, and a post-sampling correction method based on local-linear regression are provided. The accuracy of the proposed methods are illustrated and compared with a "likelihood free" Markov chain Monte Carlo technique by the way of a simulated example developed with the statistical software R.

Resource Orchestration of 5G Transport Networks for Vertical Industries

The future 5G transport networks are envisioned to support a variety of vertical services through network slicing and efficient orchestration over multiple administrative domains. In this paper, we propose an orchestrator architecture to support vertical services to meet their diverse resource and service requirements. We then present a system model for resource orchestration of transport networks as well as low-complexity algorithms that aim at minimizing service deployment cost and/or service latency. Importantly, the proposed model can work with any level of abstractions exposed by the underlying network or the federated domains depending on their representation of resources.

Chromomagnetic Dipole Moment of the Top Quark Revisited

We study the complete one-loop contributions to the chromagnetic dipole moment $Δκ$ of the top quark in the Standard Model, two Higgs doublet models, topcolor assited technicolor models (TC2), 331 models and extended models with a single extra dimension. We find that the SM predicts $Δκ= - 0.056$ and that the predictions of the other models are also consitent with the constraints imposed on $Δκ$ by low-energy precision measurements.

Unitarity Constraints for the Mass of the Higgs in the $SU(2)_L\otimes U(1)\otimes U(1)'$ Gauge Model

The critical values for the mass of the Higgs bosons, at which the theory becomes strongly interacting, are calculated using the equivalence theorem, at high energies this allows us to replace the longitudinally polarized gauge bosons in the $S$ matrix for the corresponding Goldstone bosons. An appropriate ansatz for defining the would-be Goldstone bosons in the case of an additional neutral current, beyond the minimal standard model, is also presented.
