Gravitational decoupling and regular hairy black holes: Geodesic stability, quasinormal modes, and thermodynamic properties

The stability of geodesic orbits around a regular hairy black hole, in the gravitational decoupling setup, is investigated by employing Lyapunov exponents, which quantify the divergence rate of nearby trajectories in dynamical systems. Both timelike and null geodesics are addressed, probing the effect of the hair parameter on orbital stability. Deviations from the Schwarzschild solution have a significant influence on orbit stability, potentially providing observational signatures. We compute the quasinormal modes of regular hairy black holes and discuss their thermodynamic properties, contrasting the Rényi and Bekenstein-Hawking entropy prescriptions. The results can provide insight into gravitational dynamics in the strong-field regime and potentially contribute to ongoing developments in modified gravity theories.

A unified approach to spinor duals via Clifford algebras and $G_Ω$ groups

Recent developments in the construction of generalized Dirac duals have revealed, within the structure of the Clifford algebra $\mathbb{C}\otimes\mathcal{C}\ell_{1,3},$ the existence of distinct algebraic formulations of spinors duals with potential applications in quantum field theoretic models. In this work, after reviewing the matrix formulation, we employ the recent covariant formulation of the generalized spinor dual and establish its interplay with the algebra $\mathcal{C}\ell_{1,3}$. We construct dual mappings governed by groups denoted by $G_Ω$ and introduce the notion of $Ω$-equivalence classes as a tool to classify dual spinors from a group-theoretic perspective.

Hair imprints of the gravitational decoupling and hairy black hole spectroscopy

Hairy black holes by gravitational decoupling (GD) are probed to derive the gravitational waveform produced by perturbation theory applied to these compact objects. Using the Regge-Wheeler and Zerilli equations governing the metric perturbations and applying a higher-order WKB method, the quasinormal modes (QNMs) are computed and discussed. Compared to the QNMs produced in the ringdown phase of Reissner-Nordström black hole solutions, it yields a clear physical signature of primary hair imprinting the hairy GD black hole gravitational waveforms.

Deformations in spinor bundles: Lorentz violation and further physical implications

This paper delves into the deformation of spinor structures within nontrivial topologies and their physical implications. The deformation is modeled by introducing real functions that modify the standard spinor dynamics, leading to distinct physical regions characterized by varying degrees of Lorentz symmetry violation. It allows us to investigate the effects in the dynamical equation and a geometrized nonlinear sigma model. The findings suggest significant implications for the spinor fields in regions with nontrivial topologies, providing a robust mathematical approach to studying exotic spinor behavior.

A note on hidden classes in spinor classification

The Lounesto classification is a well-established scheme for categorizing spinors based on their physical content, which are determined by their associated bilinear forms. It consists of six disjoint classes encompassing the known spinors within the context of the standard model of high-energy physics. However, advancements in theories beyond the standard model have opened the door to potential new spinorial adjoint structures, leading to new unforeseen classess. These developments indicate the potential for extending the standard Lounesto classification. In this paper, we explore all possible subclasses that could extend the Lounesto scheme. We highlight the most relevant subclasses by imposing constraints to their corresponding dual structures, thus broadening our understanding of spinor and its applications in theoretical physics.

Revisiting Takahashi's inversion theorem in discrete symmetry-based dual frameworks

The so-called Takahashi's \emph{Inversion Theorem}, the reconstruction of a given spinor based on its bilinear covariants, are re-examined, considering alternative dual structures. In contrast to the classical results, where the Dirac dual structure plays the central role, new duals are built using the discrete symmetries $\mathcal{C}, \mathcal{P}, \mathcal{T}$. Their combinations are also taken into account. Furthermore, the imposition of a new adjoint structure led us also to re-examine the representation of the Clifford algebra basis elements, uncovering new bilinear structures and a new Fierz aggregate. Those results might help construct theories for new beyond standard model fields.

A geometrical approach to nontrivial topology via exotic spinors

Exotic spinors arise in non-simply connected base manifolds due to the nonequivalent spinor structure. The dynamics of exotic spinors are endowed with an additional differential factor. In this work, we merge the exotic spinor scenario with Cartan's spinor viewpoint, according to which a given spacetime point is understood as a kind of composition of spinor entries. As a result, we arrive at a geometrical setup in which the Minkowski metric is perturbed by elements reflecting the nontrivial topology. Such corrections shall be felt by any physical system studied with the resulting bilinear form. Within the flat spacetime context, we investigate quasinormal modes arising from the interference of nontrivial topology in the scalar field dispersion relation.

Quantum Hairy Black Hole Formation and Horizon Quantum Mechanics

After introducing the gravitational decoupling method and the hairy black hole recently derived from it, we investigate the formation of quantum hairy black holes by applying the horizon quantum mechanics formalism. It enables us to determine how external fields, characterized by hairy parameters, affect the probability of spherically symmetric black hole formation and the generalized uncertainty principle.

Echoes of the gravitational decoupling: scalar perturbations and quasinormal modes of hairy black holes

The behavior of hairy black hole solutions, obtained by the gravitational decoupling (GD) method, is investigated under scalar perturbations. The quasinormal mode frequencies of such solutions are regulated by GD hair. The numerically generated wave solutions are derived for a range of values for the GD hairy black hole parameters, with higher-frequency modes very sensitive to them. The results are confronted with the corresponding ones for the Schwarzschild solution, whose deviations from it demonstrate a unique physical identification of GD hairy black holes. The method here presented comprises the first steps towards the obtainment of the observable signature of GD hairy black holes at ground-based detectors, emitted from coalescing binary systems of GD hairy black hole mergers in the ringdown phase.

Exotic fermionic fields and minimal length

We investigate the effective Dirac equation, corrected by merging two scenarios that are expected to emerge towards the quantum gravity scale. Namely, the existence of a minimal length, implemented by the generalized uncertainty principle, and exotic spinors, associated with any non-trivial topology equipping the spacetime manifold. We show that the free fermionic dynamical equations, within the context of a minimal length, just allow for trivial solutions, a feature that is not shared by dynamical equations for exotic spinors. In fact, in this coalescing setup, the exoticity is shown to prevent the Dirac operator to be injective, allowing the existence of non-trivial solutions.

Unveiling Mapping Structures of Spinor Duals

Following the program of investigation of alternative spinor duals potentially applicable to fermions beyond the standard model, we demonstrate explicitly the existence of several well-defined spinor duals. Going further we define a mapping structure among them and the conditions under which sets of such dual maps do form a group. We also study the covariance of bilinear quantities constructed with the several possible duals, the invariant eigenspaces of those group elements and its connections with spinors classification, as well as dual maps defined as elements of group algebras.

Spinor symmetries and underlying properties

By exploring a spinor space whose elements carry a spin 1/2 representation of the Lorentz group and satisfy the the Fierz-Pauli-Kofink identities we show that certain symmetries operations form a Lie group. Moreover, we discuss the reflex of the Dirac dynamics in the spinor space. In particular, we show that the usual dynamics for massless spinors in the spacetime is related to an incompressible fluid behavior in the spinor space.

Further investigation of mass dimension one fermionic duals

In this paper we proceed into the next step of formalization of a consistent dual theory for mass dimension one spinors. This task is developed approaching the two different and complementary aspects of such duals, clarifying its algebraic structure and the so called $τ-$deformation. The former regards the mathematical equivalence of the recent proposed Lorentz preserving dual with the duals of algebraic spinors, from Clifford algebras, showing the consistency and generality of the new dual. Moreover, by revealing its automorphism structure, the hole of the $τ-$deformation and contrasting the action group orbits with other Lorentz breaking scenarios, we argue that the new mass dimension one dual theory is placed over solid and consistent basis.

Flag-dipole and flagpole spinors fluid flows in Kerr spacetimes

Flagpole and flag-dipole spinors are particular classes of spinor fields that has been recently used in different branches of theoretical physics. In this paper, we study the possibility and consequences of these spinor fields to induce an underlying fluid flow structure in the background of Kerr spacetimes. We show that flag-dipole spinor fields are solutions of the equations of motion in this context. To our knowledge, this is the second time that this class of spinor field appears as a physical solution, the first one occurring as a solution of the Dirac equation in ESK gravities.

Strong Deflection Limit Lensing Effects in the Minimal Geometric Deformation and Casadio-Fabbri-Mazzacurati Solutions

In this paper we apply the strong deflection limit approach to investigate the gravitational lensing phenomena beyond general relativity. This is accomplished by considering the lensing effects related to black hole solutions that emerge out of the domain of Einstein gravity, namely, the ones acquired from the method of geometric deformation and the Casadio-Fabbri-Mazzacurati brane-world black holes. The lensing observables, for those brane-world black hole metrics, are compared with the standard ones for the Schwarzschild case. We prove that brane-world black holes could have significantly different observational signatures, compared to the Schwarzschild black hole, with terms containing the post-Newtonian parameter, for the case of the Casadio-Fabbri-Mazzacurati, and terms with variable brane-world tension, for the method of geometric deformation.

Dark Spinors Hawking Radiation in String Theory Black Holes

The Hawking radiation spectrum of Kerr-Sen axion-dilaton black holes is derived, in the context of dark spinors tunnelling across the horizon. Since a black hole has a well defined temperature, it should radiate in principle all the standard model particles, similar to a black body at that temperature. We investigate the tunnelling of mass dimension one spin-1/2 dark fermions, that are beyond the standard model and are prime candidates to the dark matter. Their interactions with the standard model matter and gauge fields are suppressed by at least one power of unification scale, being restricted just to the Higgs field and to the graviton likewise. The tunnelling method for the emission and absorption of mass dimension one particles across the event horizon of Kerr-Sen axion-dilaton black holes is shown here to provide further evidence for the universality of black hole radiation, further encompassing particles beyond the standard model.

Spherically Symmetric Thick Branes Cosmological Evolution

Spherically symmetric time-dependent solutions for the 5D system of a scalar field canonically coupled to gravity are obtained and identified as an extension of recent results obtained by Ahmed, Grzadkowskia and Wudkab. The corresponding cosmology of models with regularized branes generated by such a 5D scalar field scenario is also investigated. It has been shown that the anisotropic evolution of the warp factor and consequently the Hubble like parameter are both driven by the radial coordinate on the brane, which leads to an emergent thick brane-world scenario with spherically symmetric time dependent warp factor. Meanwhile, the separability of variables depending on fifth dimension, y, which is exhibited by the equations of motion, allows one to recover the extra dimensional profiles obtained in the literature, namely the extra dimensional part of the scale (warp) factor and the scalar field dependence on y. Therefore, our results are mainly concerned with the time dependence of a spherically symmetric warp factor. Besides evincing possibilities for obtaining asymmetric stable brane-world scenarios, the extra dimensional profiles here obtained can also be reduced to those ones investigated in the literature.
