Next-to-Leading-Order Calculation of the Light Tensor $(J^P=2^+)$ Hybrid Correlation Function

We report on the QCD calculations underlying a next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD Laplace sum-rule analysis of the light tensor $(J^P = 2^+)$ hybrid meson mass and coupling. This article focuses on the calculation of the NLO perturbative and leading-log NLO non-perturbative contributions. The diagrammatic renormalization method is employed, and a renormalization-group approach is used to determine the leading-log NLO corrections to condensate contributions, including the dimension-six gluon condensate, whose renormalization we extend to $n_f$ quark flavors. The NLO contributions provide a systematically improved theoretical description of the light tensor hybrid correlation function, leading to more reliable determinations of its mass and coupling. The phenomenological implications of our results are discussed separately in these proceedings.

Bounds on $a_μ^{\mathrm{HVP,LO}}$ using Hölder's inequalities and finite-energy QCD sum rules

This study establishes bounds on the leading-order (LO) hadronic vacuum polarization (HVP) contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon ($a_μ^{\mathrm{HVP,LO}}$, $a_μ= (g-2)_μ/2$) by using Hölder's inequality and related inequalities in Finite-Energy QCD sum rules. Considering contributions from light quarks ($u,d,s$) up to five-loop order in perturbation theory within the chiral limit, leading-order light-quark mass corrections, next-to-leading order for dimension-four QCD condensates, and leading-order for dimension-six QCD condensates, the study finds QCD lower and upper bounds as $\left(657.0\pm 34.8\right)\times 10^{-10}\leq a_μ^{\mathrm{HVP,LO}} \leq \left(788.4\pm 41.8\right)\times10^{-10}\,$.

QCD bounds on leading-order hadronic vacuum polarization contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment

QCD bounds on the leading-order (LO) hadronic vacuum polarization (HVP) contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon ($a_μ^{\mathrm{HVP,LO}}$, $a_μ=\left(g-2\right)_μ/2$) are determined by imposing Hölder inequalities and related inequality constraints on systems of Finite-Energy QCD sum-rules. This novel methodology is complementary to lattice QCD and data-driven approaches to determining $a_μ^{\mathrm{HVP,LO}}$. For the light-quark ($u,d,s$) contributions up to five-loop order in perturbation theory in the chiral limit, LO in light-quark mass corrections, next-to-leading order in dimension-four QCD condensates, and to LO in dimension-six QCD condensates, we find that $\left(657.0\pm 34.8\right)\times 10^{-10}\leq a_μ^{\mathrm{HVP,LO}} \leq \left(788.4\pm 41.8\right)\times10^{-10}\,$, bridging the range between lattice QCD and data-driven values.

Axial Vector $cc$ and $bb$ Diquark Masses from QCD Laplace Sum-Rules

Constituent mass predictions for axial vector (i.e., $J^P=1^+$) $cc$ and $bb$ colour antitriplet diquarks are generated using QCD Laplace sum-rules. We calculate the diquark correlator within the operator product expansion to NLO, including terms proportional to the four- and six-dimensional gluon and six-dimensional quark condensates. The sum-rules analyses stabilize, and we find that the mass of the $cc$ diquark is 3.51~GeV and the mass of the $bb$ diquark is 8.67~GeV. Using these diquark masses as inputs, we calculate several tetraquark masses within the Type-II diquark-antidiquark tetraquark model.

Exploring the Spectrum of Heavy Quarkonium Hybrids with QCD Sum Rules

QCD Laplace sum rules are used to calculate heavy quarkonium (charmonium and bottomonium) hybrid masses in several distinct $J^{PC}$ channels. Previous studies of heavy quarkonium hybrids did not include the effects of dimension-six condensates, leading to unstable sum rules and unreliable mass predictions in some channels. We have updated these sum rules to include dimension-six condensates, providing new mass predictions for the spectra of heavy quarkonium hybrids. We confirm the finding of other approaches that the negative-parity $J^{PC}=(0,1,2)^{-+},\,1^{--}$ states form the lightest hybrid supermultiplet and the positive-parity $J^{PC}=(0,1)^{+-},\,(0,1,2)^{++}$ states are members of a heavier supermultiplet. Our results disfavor a pure charmonium hybrid interpretation of the $X(3872)$, in agreement with previous work.

Exotic hadron states

Many charmonium-like and bottomonium-like $XYZ$ resonances have been observed by the Belle, Babar, CLEO and BESIII collaborations in the past decade. They are difficult to fit in the conventional quark model and thus are considered as candidates of exotic hadrons, such as multi-quark states, meson molecules, and hybrids. In this talk, we first briefly introduce the method of QCD sum rules and then provide a short review of the mass spectra of the quarkonium-like tetraquark states and the heavy quarkonium hybrids in the QCD sum rules approach. Possible interpretations of the $XYZ$ resonances are briefly discussed.

QCD Sum Rule Analysis of Heavy Quarkonium Hybrids

We have studied the charmonium and bottomonium hybrid states with various $J^{PC}$ quantum numbers in QCD sum rules. At leading order in $α_s$, the two-point correlation functions have been calculated up to dimension six including the tri-gluon condensate and four-quark condensate. After performing the QCD sum rule analysis, we have confirmed that the dimension six condensates can stabilize the hybrid sum rules and allow the reliable mass predictions. We have updated the mass spectra of the charmonium and bottomonium hybrid states and identified that the negative-parity states with $J^{PC}=(0, 1, 2)^{-+}, 1^{--}$ form the lightest hybrid supermultiplet while the positive-parity states with $J^{PC}=(0, 1)^{+-}, (0, 1, 2)^{++}$ belong to a heavier hybrid supermultiplet.

Mass Spectrum of Heavy Quarkonium Hybrids

We have extended the calculation of the correlation functions of heavy quarkonium hybrid operators with various $J^{PC}$ quantum numbers to include QCD condensates up to dimension six. In contrast to previous analyses which were unable to optimize the QCD sum-rules for certain $J^{PC}$, recent work has shown that inclusion of dimension six condensates stabilizes the hybrid sum-rules and permits reliable mass predictions. In this work we have investigated the effects of the dimension six condensates on the remaining channels. After performing the QCD sum-rule analysis, we update the mass spectra of charmonium and bottomonium hybrids with exotic and non-exotic quantum numbers. We identify that the negative-parity states with $J^{PC}=(0, 1, 2)^{-+}, 1^{--}$ form the lightest hybrid supermultiplet while the positive-parity states with $J^{PC}=(0, 1)^{+-}, (0, 1, 2)^{++}$ belong to a heavier hybrid supermultiplet, confirming the supermultiplet structure found in other approaches. The hybrid with $J^{PC}=0^{--}$ has a much higher mass which may suggest a different excitation of the gluonic field compared to other channels. In agreement with previous results, we find that the $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ charmonium hybrid is substantially heavier than the X(3872), which seems to preclude a pure charmonium hybrid interpretation for this state.

QCD Sum-Rule Interpretation of X(3872) with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ Mixtures of Hybrid Charmonium and $\bar D D^*$ Molecular Currents

QCD sum-rules are employed to determine whether the X(3872) can be described as a mixed state that couples to $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ charmonium hybrid and $\bar D D^*$ molecular currents. After calculating the mixed correlator of hybrid and molecular currents, we formulate the sum-rule in terms of a mixing parameter that interpolates between the pure molecular and hybrid scenarios. As the mixing parameter is increased from the pure molecular case, the predicted mass increases until it reaches a maximum value in good agreement with the X(3872) and the resulting sum-rule analysis appears more robust than the pure molecular case.

Heavy-light diquark masses from QCD sum rules and constituent diquark models of tetraquarks

Diquarks with $J^{P}=0^{\pm}$, $1^{\pm}$ containing a heavy (charm or bottom) quark and a light quark are investigated using QCD Laplace sum rules. Masses are determined using appropriately constructed gauge invariant correlation functions, including for the first time next-to-leading order perturbative contributions. The $J^P=0^+$ and $1^+$ charm-light diquark masses are respectively found to be 1.86$\pm$0.05 GeV and 1.87$\pm$0.10 GeV, while those of the $0^+$ and $1^+$ bottom-light diquarks are both determined to be 5.08$\pm$0.04 GeV. The sum rules derived for heavy-light diquarks with negative parity are poorly behaved and do not permit unambiguous mass predictions, in agreement with previous results for negative parity light diquarks. The scalar and axial vector heavy-light diquark masses are degenerate within uncertainty, as expected by heavy quark symmetry considerations. Furthermore, these mass predictions are in good agreement with masses extracted in constituent diquark models of the tetraquark candidates X(3872) and $Y_b(10890)$. Thus these results provide QCD support for the interpretation of the X(3872) and $Y_b(10890)$ as $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ tetraquark states composed of diquark clusters. Further implications for tetraquarks among the heavy quarkonium-like XYZ states are discussed.

Axial Vector $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ Charmonium and Bottomonium Hybrid Mass Predictions with QCD Sum-Rules

Axial vector $(J^{PC}=1^{++})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are determined via QCD Laplace sum-rules. Previous sum-rule studies in this channel did not incorporate the dimension-six gluon condensate, which has been shown to be important for $1^{--}$ and $0^{-+}$ heavy quark hybrids. An updated analysis of axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrids is presented, including the effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate. The axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are predicted to be 5.13 GeV and 11.32 GeV, respectively. We discuss the implications of this result for the charmonium-like XYZ states and the charmonium hybrid multiplet structure observed in recent lattice calculations.

A Laplace Sum-Rules Analysis of Heavy Pseudoscalar ($J^{PC}=0^{-+}$) Hybrids

We use QCD sum-rules to predict ground state masses for pseudoscalar ($J^{PC}=0^{-+}$) charmonium and bottomonium hybrids. We find that the inclusion of a six-dimensional gluon condensate contribution is needed to stabilize the analyses. For the charmonium hybrid, we find a mass of $(3.82\pm0.13)$ GeV; for the bottomonium hybrid, we find a mass of $(10.64\pm0.19)$ GeV. We comment on possible phenomenological implications concerning the Y(3940).

$J^{PC}=1^{++}$ heavy hybrid masses from QCD sum-rules

QCD Laplace sum-rules are used to calculate axial vector $(J^{PC}=1^{++})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses. Previous sum-rule studies of axial vector heavy quark hybrids did not include the dimension-six gluon condensate, which has been shown to be important in the $1^{--}$ and $0^{-+}$ channels. An updated analysis of axial vector heavy quark hybrids is performed, including the effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate, yielding mass predictions of 5.13 GeV for hybrid charmonium and 11.32 GeV for hybrid bottomonium. The charmonium hybrid mass prediction disfavours a hybrid interpretation of the X(3872), if it has $J^{PC}=1^{++}$, in agreement with the findings of other theoretical approaches. It is noted that QCD sum-rule results for the $1^{--}$, $0^{-+}$ and $1^{++}$ channels are in qualitative agreement with the charmonium hybrid multiplet structure observed in recent lattice calculations.

Mass Predictions for Pseudoscalar $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$ Charmonium and Bottomonium Hybrids in QCD Sum-Rules

Masses of the pseudoscalar $(J^{PC}=0^{-+})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrids are determined using QCD Laplace sum-rules. The effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate are included in our analysis and result in a stable sum-rule analysis, whereas previous studies of these states were unable to optimize mass predictions. The pseudoscalar charmonium hybrid is predicted to have a mass of approximately 3.8 GeV and the corresponding bottomonium prediction is 10.6 GeV. Calculating the full correlation function, rather than only the imaginary part, is shown to be necessary for accurate formulation of the sum-rules. The charmonium hybrid mass prediction is discussed within the context of the X Y Z resonances.

Two-Loop QCD Renormalization and Anomalous Dimension of the Scalar Diquark Operator

The renormalization of the scalar diquark operator and its anomalous dimension is calculated at two-loop order in QCD, enabling higher-order QCD studies of diquarks. As an application of our result, the two-loop diquark anomalous dimension in the $\bar{\rm MS}$ scheme is used to study the QCD renormalization scale dependence of diquark matrix elements of the $ΔS=1$ effective weak Hamiltonian.

Near-Maximal Mixing of Scalar Gluonium and Quark Mesons: A Gaussian Sum-Rule Analysis

Gaussian QCD sum-rules are ideally suited to the study of mixed states of gluonium (glueballs) and quark ($q\bar q$) mesons because of their capability to resolve widely-separated states of comparable strength. The analysis of the Gaussian QCD sum-rules (GSRs) for all possible two-point correlation functions of gluonic and non-strange ($I=0$) quark scalar ($J^{PC}=0^{++}$) currents is discussed. For the non-diagonal sum-rule of gluonic and $q\bar q$ currents we show that perturbative and gluon condensate contributions are chirally suppressed compared to non-perturbative effects of the quark condensate, mixed condensate, and instantons, implying that the mixing of quark mesons and gluonium is of non-perturbative origin. The independent predictions of the masses and relative coupling strengths from the non-diagonal and the two diagonal GSRs are remarkably consistent with a scenario of two states with masses of approximately 1 GeV and 1.4 GeV that couple to significant mixtures of quark and gluonic currents. The mixing is nearly maximal with the heavier mixed state having a slightly larger coupling to gluonic currents than the lighter state.
