Interface magnetic coupling and magnetization dynamic of La$_{2/3}$Sr$_{1/3}$MnO$_3$ single layer and (La$_{2/3}$Sr$_{1/3}$MnO$_3$/SrRuO$_3$)$_n$ (n = 1, 5) superlattice on SrTiO$_3$(001) substrate

In this work, we investigate the structural, magnetic, and microwave magnetic dynamics of multilayered \([{\rm LSMO}/{\rm SRO}]_n\) heterostructures \((n = 1 \text{ and } 5)\) grown on SrTiO\(_3\) (001) substrates. X-ray diffraction confirms high crystallinity and atomically sharp interfaces. Magnetic measurements reveal strong interfacial magnetic coupling, with a distinct two-step magnetization switching observed in the \(n = 5\) heterostructure, while this feature is significantly suppressed in the \(n = 1\) structure. Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) analysis shows a broad linewidth, pronounced positive magnetic anisotropy, and Gilbert damping on the order of \(10^{-2}\), with damping decreasing as the number of multilayer repetitions increases. These observations demonstrate that Ru--Mn exchange coupling at the interface critically governs the magnetic response and dynamic behavior of the system. The tunable switching and damping properties highlight such oxide heterointerfaces as promising platforms for exploring spin textures, magnetic domain behavior, and room-temperature spintronic applications.

Low temperature ferromagnetism in perovskite SrIrO$_3$ films

The 5$d$ based SrIrO$_3$ represents prototype example of nonmagnetic correlated metal which mainly originates from a combined effect of spin-orbit coupling, lattice dimensionality and crystal structure. Therefore, tuning of these parameters results in diverse physical properties in this material. Here, we study the structural, magnetic and electrical transport behavior in epitaxial SrIrO$_3$ film ($\sim$ 40 nm) grown on SrTiO$_3$ substrate. Opposed to bulk material, the SrIrO$_3$ film exhibits a ferromagnetic ordering at low temperature below $\sim$ 20 K. The electrical transport data indicate an insulating behavior where the nature of charge transport follows Mott's variable-range-hopping model. A positive magnetoresistance is recorded at 2 K which has correlation with magnetic moment. We further observe a nonlinear Hall effect at low temperature ($<$ 20 K) which arises due to an anomalous component of Hall effect. An anisotropic behavior of both magnetoresistance and Hall effect has been evidenced at low temperature which coupled with anomalous Hall effect indicate the development of ferromagnetic ordering. We believe that an enhanced (local) structural distortion caused by lattice strain at low temperatures induces ferromagnetic ordering, thus showing structural instability plays vital role to tune the physical properties in SrIrO$_3$.

Interface induced exchange bias effect in La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_3$/SrIrO$_3$ multilayer

Epitaxial superlattices of ferromagnetic/paramagnetic La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_3$/SrIrO$_3$ materials have been prepared on SrTiO$_3$ (100) substrate using pulse laser deposition technique. An unexpected onset of interface magnetic interaction has been observed around 40 K. Interestingly, magnetic exchange bias effect has been observed in both field cooled and zero field cooled magnetization loops, however, the shifting of loop is opposite in both measurements. Exchange bias field vanishes as temperature increases to interface magnetic ordering temperature. Moreover, exchange bias field is found to decrease with increasing cooling field. We believe that tuning of magnetic exchange at interface during field cooling induces this evolution in nature of exchange bias field.

Unusual Exchange Bias in Sr$_2$FeIrO$_6$/La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_3$ Multilayer

Here, we study an interface induced magnetic properties in 3$d$-5$d$ based multilayer made of La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_3$ and double perovskite Sr$_2$FeIrO$_6$, respectively. Bulk La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_3$ is metallic and shows ferromagnetic (FM) ordering above room temperature. In contrast, bulk Sr$_2$FeIrO$_6$, is an antiferromagnet (AFM) with N$\acute{e}$el temperature around 45 K ($T_N$) and exhibits an insulating behavior. Two set of multilayers have been grown on SrTiO$_3$ (100) crystal with varying thickness of FM layer. multilayer with equal thickness of La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_3$ and Sr$_2$FeIrO$_6$ ($\sim$ 10 nm) shows exchange bias (EB) effect both in conventionally field cooled (FC) as well as in zero field cooled (ZFC) magnetic hysteresis measurements which is rather unusual. The ZFC EB effect is weakened both with increasing maximum field during initial magnetization process at low temperature and with increasing temperature. Interestingly, multilayer with reduced thickness of La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_3$ ($\sim$ 5 nm) does not exhibit ZFC EB phenomenon, however, the FC EB effect is strengthened showing much higher value. We believe that an AFM type exchange coupling at interface and its evolution during initial application of magnetic field cause this unusual EB in present multilayers.
