Smooth order singularities

In this paper we give methods to classify the central singularities of Cayley-Hamilton smooth orders up to smooth equivalence in arbitrary central dimension. We prove that there is just one type in dimension 3 (the conifold singularity), three types in dimension 4, ten types in dimension 5 and 53 types in dimension 6. Smooth quiver quotient varieties

In this paper we classify all the quivers and corresponding dimension vectors having a smooth space of semisimple representation classes. The result is that these quiver settings can be reduced via some specific reduction steps to 3 simple types.

Smooth Character Varieties for Torus Knot Groups

Semisimple representations of the free product Z_p*Z_q determine θ-semistable representations of a specific quiver Q_pq. The dimension vectors of θ-stable representations of this quiver were classified by Le Bruyn and Adriaenssens. In this paper we classify the moduli spaces M_α^ss(Q_pq,θ) which are smooth projective varieties.

Necklace Lie algebras and noncommutative symplectic geometry

Recently V. Ginzburg proved that Calogero phase space is a coadjoint orbit for some infinite dimensional Lie algebra coming from noncommutative symplectic geometry. In this note we generalize this argument to specific quotient varieties of representations of (deformed) preprojective algebras. This result was also obtained independently by V. Ginzburg.
