Refined Tsirelson Bounds on Multipartite Bell Inequalities

Despite their importance, there is an on-going challenge characterizing multipartite quantum correlations. The Svetlichny and Mermin-Klyshko (MK) inequalities present constraints on correlations in multipartite systems, a violation of which allows to classify the correlations by using the non-separability property. In this work we present refined Tsirelson (quantum) bounds on these inequalities, derived from inequalities stemming from a fundamental constraint, tightly akin to quantum uncertainty. Unlike the original, known inequalities, our bounds do not consist of a single constant point but rather depend on correlations in specific subsystems (being local correlations for our bounds on the Svetlichny operators and bipartite correlations for our bounds on the MK operators). We analyze concrete examples in which our bounds are strictly tighter than the known bounds.

Geometric phases and the Sagnac effect: Foundational aspects and sensing applications

Geometric phase is a key player in many areas of quantum science and technology. In this review article, several foundational aspects of quantum geometric phases and their relations to classical geometric phases are outlined. How the Aharonov--Bohm and Sagnac effects fit into this context is then discussed. Moreover, a concise overview of technological applications of the latter, with special emphasis on gravitational sensing, like in gyroscopes and gravitational wave detectors is presented.

Multipartite Entanglement Detection via Correlation Minor Norm

Entanglement is a uniquely quantum resource giving rise to many quantum technologies. It is therefore important to detect and characterize entangled states, but this is known to be a challenging task, especially for multipartite mixed states. The correlation minor norm (CMN) was recently suggested as a bipartite entanglement detector employing bounds on the quantum correlation matrix. In this paper we explore generalizations of the CMN to multipartite systems based on matricizations of the correlation tensor. It is shown that the CMN is able to detect and differentiate classes of multipartite entangled states. We further analyze the correlations within the reduced density matrices and show their significance for entanglement detection. Finally, we employ matricizations of the correlation tensor for introducing a measure of global quantum discord.
