Exact Solutions of Effective Mass Dirac Equation with non-PT-Symmetric and non-Hermitian Exponential-type Potentials

By using two-component approach to the one-dimensional effective mass Dirac equation bound states are investigated under the effect of two new non-PT-symmetric, and non-Hermitian, exponential type potentials. It is observed that the Dirac equation can be mapped into a Schrödinger-like equation by rescaling one of the two Dirac wave functions in the case of the position dependent mass. The energy levels, and the corresponding Dirac eigenfunctions are found analytically.

Approximate analytical solutions of the generalized Woods-Saxon potentials including the spin-orbit coupling term and spin symmetry

We study the approximate analytical solutions of the Dirac equation for the generalized Woods-Saxon potential with the pseudo-centrifugal term. In the framework of the spin and pseudospin symmetry concept, the approximately analytical bound state energy eigenvalues and the corresponding upper- and lower-spinor components of the two Dirac particles are obtained, in closed form, by means of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method which is based on solving the second-order linear differential equation by reducing it to a generalized equation of hypergeometric type. The special cases $κ=\pm 1$ ($l=% \widetilde{l}=0,$ s-wave) and the non-relativistic limit can be reached easily and directly for the generalized and standard Woods-Saxon potentials. Also, the non-relativistic results are compared with the other works.

Non-relativistic quark-antiquark potential: spectroscopy of heavy-quarkonia and exotic SUSY quarkonia

The experiments at LHC have shown that the SUSY (exotic) bound states are likely to form bound states in an entirely similar fashion as ordinary quarks form bound states, i.e., quarkonium. Also, the interaction between two squarks is due to gluon exchange which is found to be very similar to that interaction between two ordinary quarks. This motivates us to solve the Schrödinger equation with a strictly phenomenological static quark-antiquark potential: $V(r)=-Ar^{-1}+κ\sqrt{r}+V_{0}$ using the shifted large $N$-expansion method to calculate the low-lying spectrum of a heavy quark with anti-sbottom\textbf{\}$(c\bar{\widetilde{b}},b% \bar{\widetilde{b}})$ and sbottom with anti-sbottom $(\widetilde{b}% \bar{\widetilde{b}})$ bound states with $m_{\widetilde{b}}$ is set free. To have a full knowledge on spectrum, we also give the result for a heavier as well as for lighter sbottom masses. As a test for the reliability of these calculations, we fix the parameters of this potential by fitting the spin-triplet $(n^{3}S_{1})$ and center-of-gravity $l\neq 0$ experimental spectrum of the ordinary heavy quarkonia $c\bar{c},c\bar{b}$ and $b% \bar{b}$ to few $\mathrm{MeV.}$ Our results are compared with other models to gauge the reliability of these predictions and point out differences.

Approximate l-State Solutions of the Klein-Gordon Equation for Modified Woods-Saxon Potential With Position Dependent Mass

The radial part of the Klein-Gordon equation for the generalized Woods-Saxon potential is solved by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method in the case of spatially dependent mass within the new approximation scheme to the centrifugal potential term. The energy eigenvalues and corresponding normalized eigenfunctions are computed. The solutions in the case of constant mass are also studied to check out the consistency of our new approximation scheme.

Approximate l-State Solutions of a Spin-0 Particle for Woods-Saxon Potential

The radial part of Klein-Gordon equation is solved for the Woods-Saxon potential within the framework of an approximation to the centrifugal barrier. The bound states and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions of the Woods-Saxon potential are computed by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The results are consistent with the ones obtained in the case of generalized Woods-Saxon potential. The solutions of the Schrödinger equation by using the same approximation are also studied as a special case, and obtained the consistent results with the ones obtained before.

Any l-state improved quasi-exact analytical solutions of the spatially dependent mass Klein-Gordon equation for the scalar and vector Hulthen potentials

We present a new approximation scheme for the centrifugal term to obtain a quasi-exact analytical bound state solutions within the framework of the position-dependent effective mass radial Klein-Gordon equation with the scalar and vector Hulthén potentials in any arbitrary $D$ dimension and orbital angular momentum quantum numbers $l.$ The Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method is used in the calculations. The relativistic real energy levels and corresponding eigenfunctions for the bound states with different screening parameters have been given in a closed form. It is found that the solutions in the case of constant mass and in the case of s-wave ($l=0$) are identical with the ones obtained in literature.

Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Klein-Gordon Equation for Hulthen Potential with Position-Dependent Mass

The Klein-Gordon equation is solved approximately for the Hulthén potential for any angular momentum quantum number $\ell$ with the position-dependent mass. Solutions are obtained reducing the Klein-Gordon equation into a Schrödinger-like differential equation by using an appropriate coordinate transformation. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations to get an energy eigenvalue and and the wave functions. It is found that the results in the case of constant mass are in good agreement with the ones obtained in the literature.

Exactly solvable effective mass D-dimensional Schrodinger equation for pseudoharmonic and modified Kratzer problems

We employ the point canonical transformation (PCT) to solve the D-dimensional Schrödinger equation with position-dependent effective mass (PDEM) function for two molecular pseudoharmonic and modified Kratzer (Mie-type) potentials. In mapping the transformed exactly solvable D-dimensional ($D\geq 2$) Schrödinger equation with constant mass into the effective mass equation by employing a proper transformation, the exact bound state solutions including the energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions are derived. The well-known pseudoharmonic and modified Kratzer exact eigenstates of various dimensionality is manifested.

Improved analytical approximation to arbitrary l-state solutions of the Schrodinger equation for the hyperbolical potentials

A new approximation scheme to the centrifugal term is proposed to obtain the $l\neq 0$ bound-state solutions of the Schrödinger equation for an exponential-type potential in the framework of the hypergeometric method. The corresponding normalized wave functions are also found in terms of the Jacobi polynomials. To show the accuracy of the new proposed approximation scheme, we calculate the energy eigenvalues numerically for arbitrary quantum numbers $n$ and $l$ with two different values of the potential parameter $σ_{\text{0}}.$ Our numerical results are of high accuracy like the other numerical results obtained by using program based on a numerical integration procedure for short-range and long-range potentials. The energy bound-state solutions for the s-wave ($l=0$) and $σ_{0}=1$ cases are given.

The Dirac equation is solved approximately for the Hulthen potential with the pseudospin symmetry for any spin-orbit quantum number $κ$ in the position-dependent mass background. Solutions are obtained reducing the Dirac equation into a Schrödinger-like differential equation by using an appropriate coordinate transformation. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations to get energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions.

An improved approximation to l-wave bound states of the Manning-Rosen potential by Nikiforov-Uvarov method

A new approximation scheme to the centrifugal term is proposed to obtain the $l\neq 0$ solutions of the Schrödinger equation with the Manning-Rosen potential. We also find the corresponding normalized wave functions in terms of the Jacobi polynomials. To show the accuracy of the new approximation scheme, we calculate the energy eigenvalues numerically for arbitrary quantum numbers $n$ and $l$ with two different values of the potential parameter $α.$ The bound state energies of various states for a few $% HCl,$ $CH,$ $LiH$ and $CO$ diatomic molecules are also calculated. The numerical results are in good agreement with those obtained by using program based on a numerical integration procedure. Our solution can be also reduced to the s-wave ($l=0$) case and to the Hulthén potential case.

Solution of the D-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation with equal scalar and vector ring-shaped pseudoharmonic potential

We present the exact solution of the Klein-Gordon equation in D-dimensions in the presence of the noncentral equal scalar and vector pseudoharmonic potential plus the new ring-shaped potential using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. We obtain the exact bound-state energy levels and the corresponding eigen functions for a spin-zero particles. We also find that the solution for this noncentral ring-shaped pseudoharmonic potential can be reduced to the three-dimensional pseudoharmonic solution once the coupling constant of the noncentral part of the potential becomes zero.

It is found to satisfy the bound obtained by Beckner, Bialynicki-Birula, and Mycielski. Interesting features of the entropy densities are graphically demonstrated.
