K-theory of Gieseker variety and type A cyclotomic Hecke algebra

We give an algebraic description of the equivariant K-theory of Gieseker varieties. Our main result identifies the equivariant K-theory of the Gieseker space with the Jucys--Murphy center of the cyclotomic Hecke algebra, over the equivariant K-theory of a point. The construction is inspired by the proof of the Hikita--Nakajima conjecture for Gieseker spaces given by the first and third authors. We discuss consequences for the center of cyclotomic Hecke algebras and for specializations to q=1 and to roots of unity. In particular, we relate K-theory of affine type A quiver varieties with the centers of the corresponding blocks of specialized cyclotomic Hecke algebras. This last result strengthens the correspondences obtained by the second author in earlier work.

The Procesi bundle over the $Γ$-fixed points of the Hilbert scheme of points in $\mathbb{C}^2$

For $Γ$ a finite subgroup of $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$ and $n \geq 1$, we study the fibers of the Procesi bundle over the $Γ$-fixed points of the Hilbert scheme of $n$ points in the plane. For each irreducible component of this fixed point locus, our approach reduces the study of the fibers of the Procesi bundle, as an $(\mathfrak{S}_n \times Γ)$-module, to the study of the fibers of the Procesi bundle over an irreducible component of dimension zero in a smaller Hilbert scheme. When $Γ$ is of type $A$, our main result shows, as a corollary, that the fiber of the Procesi bundle over the monomial ideal associated with a partition $λ$ is induced, as an $(\mathfrak{S}_n \times Γ)$-module, from the fiber of the Procesi bundle over the monomial ideal associated with the core of $λ$. We give different proofs of this corollary in two edge cases, using only representation theory and symmetric functions.

The fixed point locus of the smooth Jordan quiver variety under the action of the finite subgroups of $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$

In this article, we study the decomposition into irreducible components of the fixed point locus under the action of $Γ$ a finite subgroup of $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$ of the smooth Nakajima quiver variety of the Jordan quiver. The quiver variety associated with the Jordan quiver is either isomorphic to the punctual Hilbert scheme in $\mathbb{C}^2$ or to the Calogero-Moser space. We describe the irreducible components using quiver varieties of McKay's quiver associated with the finite subgroup $Γ$ and we have given a general combinatorial model of the indexing set of these irreducible components in terms of certain elements of the root lattice of the affine Lie algebra associated with $Γ$. Finally, we prove that for every projective, symplectic resolution of a wreath product singularity, there exists an irreducible component of the fixed point locus of the punctual Hilbert scheme in the plane that is isomorphic to the resolution.

Combinatorics of the irreducible components of $\mathcal{H}_n^Γ$ in type $D$ and $E$

In this article, we give a combinatorial model in terms of symmetric cores of the indexing set of the irreducible components of $\mathcal{H}_n^Γ$ (the $Γ$-fixed points of the Hilbert scheme of $n$ points in $\mathbb{C}^2$) containing a monomial ideal, whenever $Γ$ is a finite subgroup of $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$ isomorphic to the binary dihedral group. Moreover, we show that if $Γ$ is a subgroup of $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$ isomorphic to the binary tetrahedral group, to the binary octahedral group or to the binary icosahedral group, then the $Γ$-fixed points of $\mathcal{H}_n$ which are also fixed under $\mathbb{T}_1$, the maximal diagonal torus of $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$, are in fact $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$-fixed points. Finally, we prove that in that case, the irreducible components of $\mathcal{H}_n^Γ$ containing a $\mathbb{T}_1$-fixed point are of dimension $0$.

Fixed points in Gieseker spaces and blocks of Ariki-Koike algebras

In this article, we establish combinatorial links between the irreducible components of the fixed point locus of the Gieseker variety and the block theory of Ariki-Koike algebras. First, we describe the fixed point locus in terms of Nakajima quiver varieties over the McKay quiver of type A. We then reinterpret the dimension of an irreducible component as double the weight of a block. Cores of charged multipartitions have been defined by Fayers and further developed by Jacon and Lecouvey. In addition, we give a new way to compute the multicharge associated with the core of a charged multipartition. Finally, we also explain how the notion of core blocks, defined by Fayers, is interpreted on the geometric side using the deep connection between quiver varieties and affine Lie algebras.
