Electromagnetic Scoot for Dyons Revisited

In the scattering of two electric charges, the particles acquire a shift in their net boost-like angular momentum, balanced by an opposite field contribution. This electromagnetic scoot effect appears at first order in post-Minkowskian expansion (1PM) order when conservation laws are evaluated on constant-time slices, but disappears at this order on hyperboloidal slices. Here, we extend this analysis to scattering involving both electric and magnetic charges and compare the results with the purely electric case in the context of multiparticle state representations.

Towards the Double Copy Formulation for the Abelian Sector of Heterotic Double Field Theory

It has been shown that double field theory (DFT) action can be constructed in a perturbative manner up to cubic order by using double copy of Yang-Mills. This construction can also be extended by starting with higher-derivative Yang-Mills theory to obtain higher-derivative DFT action. In this work, we extend this classical double copy formulation to the Abelian subsector of heterotic DFT, starting with a Yang-Mills theory that includes a charged scalar field, namely (Y M + ϕ^3) theory. The action we constructed by a double copy procedure exactly matches with the Abelian sector of heterotic DFT action up to cubic order.

Double Copy Map for Double Field Theory on an Arbitrary Constant Background

Double field theory (DFT) can be constructed up to third order as the double copy of Yang- Mills theory. In this construction, one starts with Yang-Mills theory on Minkowski space and the resulting DFT action is also defined on Minkowski space. In this work, I extend this double copy procedure to obtain a DFT action on a constant DFT background starting from two Yang-Mills actions constructed around nontrivial background gauge fields on Minkowski space.

On the extension of double copy procedure to higher derivative double field theory

Double field theory (DFT) can be constructed from the color-kinematic double copy of Yang- Mills theory. In a recent work, this construction has been extended to higher-derivative terms, starting from the four-derivative extension of Yang-Mills theory, to obtain a conformally invariant DFT action up to the third order. Here, I attempt to extend this idea by introducing a method, inspired by the background independent formulation of DFT, to obtain third order higher derivative terms directly from the second order higher derivative terms. The third-order terms I obtain do not match those obtained directly from the double-copy map. A clear understanding of this mismatch can give valuable information about the double copy procedure for DFT, its relation to background independence, and the conformal symmetry in double configuration space.
