Computation of outer inverse of tensors based on $t$-product

Tensor operations play an essential role in various fields of science and engineering, including multiway data analysis. In this study, we establish a few basic properties of the range and null space of a tensor using block circulant matrices and the discrete Fourier matrix. We then discuss the outer inverse of tensors based on $t$-product with a prescribed range and kernel of third-order tensors. We address the relation of this outer inverse with other generalized inverses, such as the Moore-Penrose inverse, group inverse, and Drazin inverse. In addition, we present a few algorithms for computing the outer inverses of the tensors. In particular, a $t$-QR decomposition based algorithm is developed for computing the outer inverses.

Computing Tensor Generalized bilateral inverses

We introduce tensor generalized bilateral inverses (TGBIs) under the Einstein tensor product as an extension of generalized bilateral inverses (GBIs) in the matrix environment. Moreover, the TBGI class includes so far considered composite generalized inverses (CGIs) for matrices and tensors. Applications of TBGIs for solving multilinear systems are presented. The characterizations and representations of TGBI were studied and verified using a specific algebraic approach. Further, a few characterizations of known CGIs (such as CMP, DMP, MPD, MPCEP, and CEPMP) are derived. The main properties of the TGBIs ware exploited and verified through numerical examples.

Characterization and Representation of Weighted Core Inverse of Matrices

In this paper, we introduce new representation and characterization of the weighted core inverse of matrices. Several properties of these inverses and their interconnections with other generalized inverses are also explored. Through one-sided core and dual-core inverses, we have shown the existence of a generalized weighted Moore-Penrose inverse of matrices. Further, by applying a new representation and using the properties of the weighted core inverse of a matrix, we discuss some new results related to the reverse order law for these inverses.

Generalized Core Inverse in a proper $*$-ring

In this paper, we introduce the notion of weak core and central weak core inverse in a {\it proper $*$-ring}. We further elaborate on these two classes by producing a few representations and characterizations of the weak core and central weak core invertible elements. We investigated additive properties and a few explicit expressions for these two classes of inverses through other generalized inverses. In addition, numerical examples are provided to validate claims on weak core inverses. Following {\it proper $*$-ring} and their interconnections with Clifford algebra, we also present examples of the group inverse and the weak core inverse of a non-zero non-invertible quaternion $\mathbb{H}_s$.

GD1 inverse and 1GD inverse for Hilbert space operators

Mosic and Djordjevic introduced the notation of the gDMP inverse for Hilbert space operators in [J. Spectr. Theory, 8(2):555-573, 2018] by considering generalized Drazin inverse with the Moore-Penrose inverse. This paper introduces two new classes of inverses: GD1 (generalized Drazin and inner) inverse and 1GD (inner and generalized Drazin) inverse for Hilbert space operators. The existence and uniqueness of the GD1 (also 1GD) inverse are discussed, along with some properties through core-quasinilpotent decomposition and closed range decomposition operator. We further establish a few explicit representations of the GD1 inverse and their interconnections with generalized Drazin inverse. In addition, we discuss a few properties of GD1 (also 1GD) inverse through binary relation.

Computation of Generalized Inverses of Tensors via $t$-Product

Generalized inverses of tensors play increasingly important roles in computational mathematics and numerical analysis. It is appropriate to develop the theory of generalized inverses of tensors within the algebraic structure of a ring. In this paper, we study different generalized inverses of tensors over a commutative ring and a non-commutative ring. Several numerical examples are provided in support of the theoretical results. We also propose algorithms for computing the inner inverses, the Moore-Penrose inverse, and weighted Moore-Penrose inverse of tensors over a non-commutative ring. The prowess of some of the results is demonstrated by applying these ideas to solve an image deblurring problem.

Characterizations of weighted (b,c) inverse

The notion of weighted $(b,c)$-inverse of an element in rings were introduced, very recently [Comm. Algebra, 48 (4) (2020): 1423-1438]. In this paper, we further elaborate on this theory by establishing a few characterizations of this inverse and their relationships with other $(v, w)$-weighted $(b,c)$-inverses. We introduce some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the hybrid $(v, w)$-weighted $(b,c)$-inverse and annihilator $(v, w)$-weighted $(b,c)$-inverse of elements in rings. In addition to this, we explore a few sufficient conditions for the reverse-order law of the annihilator $(v, w)$-weighted $(b,c)$-inverses.

Further results on weighted core-EP inverse of matrices

In this paper, we introduce the notation of $E$-weighted core-EP and $F$-weighted dual core-EP inverse of matrices. We then obtain a few explicit expressions for the weighted core-EP inverse of matrices through other generalized inverses. Further, we discuss the existence of generalized weighted Moore-Penrose inverse and additive properties of the weighted core-EP inverse of matrices. In addition to these, we propose the star weighted core-EP and weighted core-EP star class of matrices for solving the system of matrix equations. We further elaborate on this theory by producing a few representation and characterization of star weighted core-EP and weighted core-EP star classes of matrices.

Weighted Moore-Penrose inverses of arbitrary-order tensors

Within the field of multilinear algebra, inverses and generalized inverses of tensors based on the Einstein product have been investigated over the past few years. In this paper, we explore the singular value decomposition and full-rank decomposition of arbitrary-order tensors using {\it reshape} operation. Applying range and null space of tensors along with the reshape operation; we further study the Moore-Penrose inverse of tensors and their cancellation properties via the Einstein product. Then we discuss weighted Moore-Penrose inverses of arbitrary-order tensors using such product. Following a specific algebraic approach, a few characterizations and representations of these inverses are explored. In addition to this, we obtain a few necessary and sufficient conditions for the reverse-order law to hold for weighted Moore-Penrose inverses of arbitrary-order tensors.

Further results on weighted core inverse in a ring

The notion of the weighted core inverse in a ring with involution was introduced, recently [Mosic et al. Comm. Algebra, 2018; 46(6); 2332-2345]. In this paper, we explore new representation and characterization of the weighted core inverse of sum and difference of two weighted core invertible elements in an unital ring with involution under different conditions. Further, we discuss reverse order laws and mixed-type reverse order laws for the weighted core invertible elements in a ring.

Reverse-order law for core inverse of tensors

The notion of the core inverse of tensors with the Einstein product was introduced, very recently. This paper we establish some sufficient and necessary conditions for reverse-order law of this inverse. Further, we present new results related to the mixed-type reverse-order law for core inverse. In addition to these, we discuss core inverse solutions of multilinear systems of tensors via the Einstein product. The prowess of the inverse is demonstrated for solving the Poisson problem in the multilinear system framework.

Core and Core-EP Inverses of Tensors

Specific definitions of the core and core-EP inverses of complex tensors are introduced. Some characterizations, representations and properties of the core and core-EP inverses are investigated. The results are verified using specific algebraic approach, based on proposed definitions and previously verified properties. The approach used here is new even in the matrix case.

Further results on the Drazin inverse of even-order tensors

The notion of the Drazin inverse of an even-order tensor with the Einstein product was introduced, very recently [J. Ji and Y. Wei. Comput. Math. Appl., 75(9), (2018), pp. 3402-3413]. In this article, we further elaborate this theory by producing a few characterizations of the Drazin inverse and the W-weighted Drazin inverse of tensors. In addition to these, we compute the Drazin inverse of tensors using different types of generalized inverses and full rank decomposition of tensors. We also address the solution to the multilinear systems using the Drazin inverse and iterative (higher order Gauss-Seidel) method of tensors. Besides this, the convergence analysis of the iterative technique is also investigated within the framework of the Einstein product.

Generalized Inverses of Boolean Tensors via Einstein Product

Applications of the theory and computations of boolean matrices are of fundamental importance to study a variety of discrete structural models. But the increasing ability of data collection systems to store huge volumes of multidimensional data, the boolean matrix representation of data analysis is not enough to represent all the information content of the multiway data in different fields. From this perspective, it is appropriate to develop an infrastructure that supports reasoning about the theory and computations. In this paper, we discuss the generalized inverses of the Boolean tensors with the Einstein product. Further, we elaborate on this theory by producing a few characterizations of different generalized inverses and several equivalence results on boolean tensors. In addition to these, we define the rank of a boolean tensor through space decomposition.
